It’s been another wonderful week at Calvary School of Missions! This week we were joined by a family that have been living in a predominantly Muslim country located in the 10/40 window, I was encouraged to hear firsthand how their family navigated a culture so different from what we know in the US. " Missions is normal biblical Christianity in a different cultural context. It’s really nothing more than you and Jesus walking through your life and telling others about it." Hi friends! It is our second week in the School of Missions. Thank you so much for the prayers as we continue here in Mexico. This week, we have had several opportunities to go on outreaches in the hills of Rosarito. Preparing our hearts and minds as we go out and serve. In addition to our daily class schedule, we do things a little differently for our outreaches. While the speakers are preparing for their teachings and testimonies, the rest of our team spends a special time in prayer, organizes outreach prep, and assemble food for the people we will be ministering to. ...

The time has finally arrived … I want to thank you all for your prayers, encouragement, and support! After months of prayer, planning and preparation the students and leaders of Calvary School of Mission 2023, joined together at CC Saving Grace for a wonderful time of prayer, sending us out on our journey to Mexico. View Preview As temperatures start to cool and fall arrives in Mazatlan, we start welcoming back friends from areas in the US and Canada that are escaping their icy cold winters. It is also time to prepare and re-start many of our mid-week ministries for our English speaking community at Calvary Maranatha . But, this year, while friends started arriving, I was preparing for something new. In December, following the Lord’s recent promptings, I made new plans to return to California. Over the past years, my visits back to the US were typically just a few weeks at a time to see family and renew my visa. But, this time the plan was to stay longer. My hope was that this longer home stay would provide added time to reconnect with family and friends, a chance to visit a variety of local churches and support teams as well as being available to help my mom as her rehabilitation continued from a bad fall she had in August. ...

Over the past 4 years we have had plenty of opportunities to celebrate together as God continues to strengthen and grow our body of believers at Calvary Chapel Maranatha, Mazatlan. But, there has been something very special about these past months. CALVARY MARANATHA EAST’s 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY March 1st, Calvary Maranatha East, our most recent church plant , celebrated it’s first anniversary. It’s official…I’m leaving for Mexico in the beginning of July! Thank you for all your prayers, support and encouragement during this time of preparation. So, this is what’s been happening… PRAYER, PRESENTATION AND THE BEST FIESTA EVER! Sunday May 31st, at the beginning of both services I joined my Pastor and the Global Outreach Team in the front of church for prayer and a bit of sharing about the Lord’s leading in my life to serve Him in the field full-time. ...

“Will you go with Me here?” “ Will you tell them what I taught you?” “Will you show them how I restored your heart, rebuilt your life?” Back in 2009, during a class Perspectives on the World Christian Movement, the Lord transformed my understanding of living intentionally for Him and planted a desire to serve Him in the mission field. Wanting to learn more about what this would look like, I joined the Global Outreach team at my home church, Voyager’s Bible Church. While serving our Missionaries through prayer and care during their stateside visits, my desire for being on the missions field continued to grow. Throughout the next couple years, to see firsthand what it was like to serve Him daily in a foreign land, I went on several short mission “Vision” trips to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Brazil. ...
