October 2025 Encouraging and Strengthening the Brethren! “…always in my prayers, asking that somehow by God’s will I may now at last succeed in coming to you. For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine. (Romans 1:10-12 ) Did you know that a “missionary” means “one who is sent” ? Our family was trained, prayed for and sent from our sending church, Calvary Chapel Saving Grace in Yorba Linda! The work that Claudia and I do at Calvary Rosarito in Mexico mostly focuses on counseling and ministering to the local congregation. We often post pictures of the large bilingual women’s study and my much smaller men’s discipleship group! But one of our favorite ministries is to the pastors and their wives who have planted churches! ...
Getting It Right!
by Paul Boubion August , 2025 July and the beginning of August have been so busy we’ve barely been able to come up for air! But Claudia and I have seen some amazing breakthroughs with people at church! Not to mention celebrating our eldest daughter Natalie & Marcus’ wedding on June 28th! Our Yearly Barbecue Family Ministry update at the Groves! The past three years we have had the pleasure of sharing what God has been doing in our lives and minstry in Mexico! Much thanks to Marlene and James for their wonderful hospitality! I invite you all again next year! ...
Are you ready for Jesus' promised return?
by Paul Boubion Recently my Pastor, Mike Vincent, taught a Sunday sermon about the END times! It really got me thinking. Do I believe the world will continue forever? (no!) But whether the end is near or far, I began to meditate on a couple questions: What is my purpose? What should I be doing? “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.” - Matthew 24:42 ...
Loving People First in Mexico and Brazil!
April 2025 Did you know that the greatest way to show that you love God is by loving people? Jesus said that the Greatest commandment is to love God first, and then He said this: And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” - Mark 12:31 As missionaries in a border city in Mexico, we have enormous challenges as well as big opportunities to meet and help people! Since we are part of the biggest church in Playas de Rosarito, Baja California we have constant opportunities to meet people all the time. Our staff goal for 2025 is to make at least 25 friends! Of course, that means spending time and sitting down and talking with folks every week. ...
People First!
February 2025 People First! Thank you to everyone reading our blog and supporting us! The border area of Mexico is an incredible place to minister! Sometimes we get too caught up in the “ministry” such that we are TOO BUSY for people! Our goal and desire for 2025 is to fulfill the second greatest commandment: “…you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:39 Picture: Helping a dear friend & recent widow move. Last year was an incredible year in Rosarito’s biggest church! We had hundreds of people visit and had many baptisms each month. However, Claudia and I have found that in a church so full of new visitors and new converts (baby Christians!), it is easy to get overlooked. Our desire is to get to know people, spend time with them and make new friends! Now, while many people want attention from the main pastor and so on, we have discovered that most folks don’t know anyone and may not even have one friend! I believe Jesus wants us to love people with our most valuable resource: our time! ...
Challenging Faith - December 2024 Update
By Paul Boubion Preaching Acts 19, “ The Fruits of Revival.” I recently had the privilege of teaching in the pulpit on a Wednesday night. It was during the World Series, but my mom said she still watched my sermon! I taught a passage in Acts 19 where the great Apostle Paul does great miracles as he preaches the Word of the Lord in the ancient city of Ephesus (now in Turkey). Now, there is a passage that says, ...
Opportunities to Rejoice!
November 2024, by Paul Boubion Hello family and friends! There is always so much happening here in Mexico, at church, at our house… We remember to rejoice and pray thanksgiving to God! 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 A special thanks to all who regularly pray for us! Mexico frequently feels unstable and dangerous as we continually receive reports of assaults, robberies, thefts and murder. Sometimes, we hesistate to report the danger so as not to frighten or discourage you! Despite these realities, we don’t always hear or see what God is doing in the midst! In this months report, I will show you some of the wonderful things our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is doing along with some of the more challenging events and trouble that is part of life on the mission field! ...
Discipleship! September 2024
By Paul Boubion Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:19 This year the Lord has really highlighted to us the desire to teach folks how to read their Bibles. At our church we have a new believers class that encourages folks to daily pray and read their Bible. This practice is called “daily devotions” by many people. We have found that like everything, we need to learn both the HOW TO and the DISCIPLINE of spending time with Jesus by prayer and reading the Bible. ...

God is Good All the Time!
By Paul Boubion, May 2024 family update! This is my dad and me about 8 or 9 years ago. He loved his hats and beanies! This March 14, 2024, at the age of 89, he went home to be with his Lord. Have you heard this phrase? “God is good all the time! And all the time, God is Good!” Does it sound cliché? Is it true? As we all struggle through trials and tribulations, we may wonder, “where is God?” This is what the Psalmist sang 3000 years ago: “ My tears have been my food day and night, While they continually say to me, “ Where is your God?” - Psalm 42:3 ...
