Dear Team and Family in Christ,
It is my joy to share with you all the great things that our God has been doing in this part of the 10/40 window and in my life. 1 Timothy 2:4 says that God our Savior “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”. Knowing the heart of God, when you ask Him to open doors to reach those in darkness, we will begin to see Him move.
There is a group of villages that I have wanted to visit and share the Good News of Jesus to. As I approach them, I can see that they are in deep idolatry and completely devoted to Hinduism. In these villages, the people have few resources. Many of them do not know how to read. The greatest tragedy is that they do not know Jesus. I knew I had an opportunity during the Christmas season. Here in my nation, people are more open to join in Christmas celebrations. As I planned Christmas outreaches, I decided to visit these villages. God opened the door for me to visit 5 new villages. The people were open and interested to hear as I shared about the true meaning of Christmas.
Since the outreaches, I have been welcomed back to revisit families in 2 of those villages. The people have not surrendered their lives to the Lord yet, but the seeds have been planted. I know the watering must continue. When I go into these villages, I am surrounded by many children who are so curious about what I have to say. My heart is broken for the people because of the darkness they are in. It is hard for us, as humans, to reach so many people, but it is not hard for the Holy Spirit to reach them. My prayer is that these souls would be convicted by the Holy Spirit and turn their lives from their idols to the Living God. Please join me in praying for their salvation.
As I have tried to reach as many as I can, I have found that there is a great need to raise up men and women that will reach the unreached people. I am in lack of men that will go with me. I understand that it is my responsibility to raise them up within my ministry. Just as Paul raised up Timothy, I am seeking those Timothy’s. I am asking God to bring them. Please pray for the Lord to raise up many disciples among my people. Men and women that will have a heart for God and to reach our nation. The work that is happening now should not stop when I leave this world. It should last for generations, for God’s glory.
“Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
Psalm 37:4
For the past few years I have been praying for a godly woman in my life. I am happy to share with you that the Lord has brought her to me. Over 1 year ago, I met her. As our hearts have grown from friendship to love, the Lord has made it clear that He is calling us to marriage. She is being sent out as a worker with SGWM. She loves the Lord and shares the same Kingdom vision and dreams as I do. God has blessed us with great pastors and leaders that have been walking with us, encouraging us, and discipling us in this season, with so much love. Please pray for us as we begin preparations for our marriage and life together. There are many things involved. We are trusting God every step of the way and for every thing.
My friends, thank you for your faithful prayers and your partnership in this work of God. Everything that we are doing is for the glory of God and the fruit of your faithfulness.
God bless,
Pastor 7*
*Names and faces have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor7/pastor7/2024/04/02/joyful-in-jesus/

Dear Team and Family in Christ,

It is my joy to share with you all the great things that our God has been doing in this part of the 10/40 window and in my life. 1 Timothy 2:4 says that God our Savior “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”. Last year was great and filled with God’s goodness. I am so thankful for each and every one of you. The fact that you are all praying for me is the biggest blessing and strength in my life. God is always faithful and I am grateful to our Lord. It gives me so much joy to see how He is using me in different districts and villages here in my area.
In my area, it is very rare to find people with Christian literature, and even more rare to see children with Christian books. Most children are exposed only to Hinduism, not to the Gospel or a story from the Bible. The Lord has given me a great burden for the children. They are the next generation. I was greatly blessed to be able to get and distribute many books that are composed of Bible stories. These books are for different ages and grades, from very young kids to teenagers. They cover stories from the Old Testament as well as the New Testament.
As I visit the villages with these books, the children are very open and excited to hear the stories. This is the first time they saw books like this, and they are able to hold them in their hands. They value these gifts.
When I visit them, I divide them into groups based on their age and grade in school. I assign a leader to each group and ask them to read out loud, so that the others who cannot read can understand.
I was also able to bring Bibles and give them to the kids who have a heart to learn the Word of God, who are also able to read and write. As I continue to visit them, I plan to spend time with these children and help them understand God’s Word.
“All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.”
Isaiah 54:13
In one of the villages I visit regularly, there is a young girl whose family I have been ministering to. This young girl was the first in her family to give her life to the Lord. Her faith has drawn her family closer to Him. She is in 10th grade and has become very busy, but she still has an interest to serve.
I have asked her to read these stories to the younger children that are unable to read and to even help them as they pray. The children love her and pay close attention as she reads. I am praying that this young girl will continue to draw closer to the Lord and grow a heart to serve Him.
I am asking God to raise up many young men and women like her in every village I visit. It is so easy to focus on having a career and the things of life, but I hope these young people can understand they have an even brighter future serving the King of Glory.
When I reach the areas where I do ministry, sometimes the parents are out in the agricultural fields working, but they invite me to teach their children. The children are usually with their grandparents at home. When I gather the kids, the elderly people are nearby watching the children and listening to what I share. Sometimes the grandparents might not be interested to come on their own, but because their grandchildren are interested, they will come and learn in the process. God is wonderful! His Word never returns void.
“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
Isaiah 55:11
I am seeing how the Lord is working, how He has a purpose in all things. He has given me vision to see these children as the future generation to carry the Gospel to my nation. My nation is full of darkness, but if these children come to know the Lord, their lights will shine so bright for Jesus and change this land. His work is not only for the future, it is for now as well. He is moving today and He is carrying His Word forth.
Please continue to pray for my mother’s health. It is winter here. This is the most difficult season for people who have trouble with their respiratory system!
God bless,
Pastor 7*
*Names and faces have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor7/pastor7/2024/02/02/little-lights-shining-brightly-for-jesus/

Dear Team,

I wish you much joy and blessings in this New Year! Thank you for your faithful prayers and for joining with me in the Kingdom work that is happening here in South Asia. Your prayers and words of encouragement give me the strength to continue moving forward as we take ground for the Gospel.
The days here have been long and busy. That has provided great opportunities to reach many people for God. I am seeing how the Lord has allowed me to have fellowship with families through their children.
I have been building a relationship with a particular family through their son, K*. I regularly visit his home and often I help tutor this young boy. Sometimes we even play games. These meetings have been great because while I am there, I am also able to meet his parents and family and share God’s Word with them. By building these relationships and gaining their friendships, the families see that I care about them. They give me opportunities to minister to them and share with them about Jesus.
I am so happy that God is sending me to the people who live in very remote areas and who usually don’t have visitors from the cities. They realize there is someone who wants to visit them, talk to them, and not expect anything from them. For the first time, they are experiencing the love of God. Whenever we go to these villages, the children recognize us and become so happy. We can see how much they love us as they run to us. God is definitely building this relationship with the people. We are teaching them based on their age. They are learning about Jesus, Sunday school songs, and memory verses from the Bible. We usually finish the time with some snacks and fellowship. I am seeing how they are growing in knowledge of God and it blesses me to see them invite and bring their friends to join us.
Your Attractive Heading There is a great woman named Pr* that I met at the bus station recently. She was a homeless widow who was staying at the bus station with a few of her things because she had nowhere to go. God impressed on my heart to talk to her. I learned that she did have property in her name, but that because she is a widow and no one is with her, some local politicians and government authorities took her property forcefully. She had no help or power to fight against them, so she was left with nothing.
However, she did not give up. She fought with the government officer a little bit and was now given a temporary room to stay in. When she found this room, she invited me over and wanted to make me some food. It was an emotional moment because when I saw her for the first time it was at the bus station where no one wanted to talk to her. However, because she is a believer, she has a desire to share her life with people. This allowed me to witness God’s goodness in her life. She is alone in life, a widow with no family. She is completely dependent on God. He is making her alive every single day! He is the One that is protecting her and providing for her. It is a big blessing to see how God cares about widows and people who are abandoned by society. It is a beautiful reminder that He never forgets people or abandons them.
One thing that makes me really happy in my ministry is when I find young men and women who are non-believers. After sharing the Gospel with them, they are open to reading the Bible. Then, because they are clearly spending time reading the Bible, we have some great fellowship as I share and explain to them more about God’s Word. It is an honor to explain it to them and tell them that what is written is for them, and for me, and for all of humanity. I have a beautiful time with them.
Many times I travel very far on my motorcycle. There are many days when I cannot even get water to drink. But when I meet people like these who are very open to the Gospel and to God’s Word, it is like finding pearls in the dirt. The difficulties become so small. I am finding many pearls for God’s Kingdom. I am excited for all of the men and women I am encountering in my ministry. I am thinking of them, praying for them, and following up with them. God has been doing great things in this ministry and I want to keep going forward.
Meeting with the children and finding these men and women is worth the tiredness and long days. The struggles are taken away when I consider what God is doing. My soul is filled with so much joy that God gives me. I am refreshed and want to continue to move forward and continue to find these rare pearls in these far villages. God’s desire is that none perish but that all come to a saving knowledge. I am seeing how He is working and pursuing His people.
Thank you for joining me on this journey as we labor together for God’s kingdom, and as we seek all of the hidden pearls He is preparing.
God bless,
Pastor 7*
*Names and faces have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor7/pastor7/2023/12/08/pearls-in-the-dirt/

Dear Friends and Family,

It always gives me great joy to be able to share with you all that our Lord is doing! Please know that your prayers are the fuel for us to continue in the Kingdom work the Lord has set before us. God has been so faithful! He continues to open doors to visit new villages and meet new people–new people who need to hear the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
As I am visiting new villages and regularly returning to other villages, the children that I meet are really on my heart. There have been many opportunities to build relationships with the parents of the children, to get to know them and build trust. Because of that, the parents feel comfortable and allow me to minister to their children as well. There are times when I visit these families and the adults are busy working on the farm and are not able to meet with me. At those times, the parents let their children participate in the children’s ministry. We take the time to introduce them to Jesus and share stories from the Bible with them.
I recently met a young boy who really stood out to me. When I first saw this boy (left), I could see he was strongly influenced by Hinduism. He was wearing tika and bottu on his face. These markings represent having much faith in an idol. They are an outward sign that the person believes in a particular god and is showing reverence towards it. He seemed to keep a distance, because he knew that I was not Hindu and that I was from a different religion. My heart broke for this boy. With love, we invited him to gather with us and join the rest of the children. However, he continued to keep a distance from us. I am praying to have an opportunity to explain to him about the true and living God.
“Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.” 1 John 5:21
In Hinduism, there are many reasons why people offer sacrifices to their gods. Sometimes they offer a sacrifice because it is a special occasion, like a festival or celebration. Sometimes if there is an illness, loss of crops, or a situation that is not going well in the home, the people will offer a sacrifice to try to win favor with the gods or goddesses and please them. Based on their financial status, they will sacrifice sheep, goats, or even chickens. The families who have very little money, will spend a whole lot of their wages to make a 2-3 day trip to a temple to offer a sacrifice to an idol who will do nothing for them. Their children are learning to bow down to these false gods, worship them, and seek their favor and protection. Influenced by their parent’s idolatry, the children do whatever their parents tell them to do. Since the parents are in total darkness, they are passing on their idolatry to the next generation.
I feel great compassion and urgency to tell them about the true and living God–the Creator of the universe. If the enemy is actively working to keep these adults and their children in darkness, how much more should I be telling them about Jesus?!
Judges 2:10 says “…another generation arose after them who did not know the LORD nor the work which He had done for Israel.” Just like the generation in the book of Judges who did not know God, this generation that I am working with in the villages has forgotten to seek the true and living God. The Lord is using me to tell them about Him and to tell their children.
Even if there is much darkness, I have much hope and faith in what God can do. Last Christmas I met a young girl in the 10th grade named S*. She believed in Jesus at a young age and wanted to begin going to church when she was in 4th grade. Her parents did not want to discourage her, so they accompanied her to church. During this process, the entire family became born-again! Today I am ministering to her parents. This family is incredibly faithful. The entire village they live in is back-slidden and choose not to go to church or have an active faith in God. But this family attends church every Sunday and continues to grow spiritually. Because this young girl had a heart for the Lord, the entire family has now been saved. It is important to minister to the entire family, to seek out every soul from very young to very old and tell them about Jesus. God wants to open their eyes and save every generation.
“To open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me”
Acts 26:18
Thank you for praying with me for these souls!
Praise Report:
The Lord continues to open doors for me to do ministry and meet new people and share the Gospel with them. I continue to see fruit in the new believers’ lives and an eagerness to know the Lord. Prayer request:
I’m looking for a place to move closer to the villages where I minister. Pray that I can find a good place and for favor with the landlord. Pray for the believers who I’m shepherding to grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus. Pray for continued open doors to minister to the youth. Pray for the young man I recently met, Arjun. May he open his heart to the Lord and be raised up to serve Him. Please pray for the full restoration of my mothers health–for her to have stronger lungs and ability to walk without the help of a walker. Pray that God would bring me a helpmate. I am very thankful for your continued prayers and love as we co-labor in the furtherance of the Gospel.
This past month was great because I was able to do ministry with a brother that is dear to me. When I was in Bible College, all my leaders poured their hearts into me. They shared their experience and knowledge of the Bible with me. I am so thankful for all the unity and faithfulness shown to me by my leaders and how God equipped me through them. Now the Lord has provided me with the opportunity to do the same toward others who also desire to serve in ministry. I am reminded of 2 Timothy 2:2, “And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” This is because C*, who was one of my students at one of the Bible Colleges I taught at, now has a heart that is ready to leave his home and move to a different district to begin ministry. Before starting his ministry, he wanted to visit and observe the village ministry I am doing.
We visited a backslidden family and spent time ministering to them and reminding them of the importance of being in church and in fellowship. It is so important for all believers to be in communion with God daily; whether we have been walking with the Lord for a few days or many years. We encouraged them, shared God’s Word with them, and prayed for them. It was great too for this family to hear C*’s testimony and see that another man who fears God took the time to visit and minister to them.
We also visited a sister who is a new believer and encouraged her as well. She is very interested to learn about Jesus, but sometimes feels hesitant to read her Bible because of lack of knowledge and understanding, However, I shared how it is good to make time to study God’s Word daily and not only open it up on Sundays. We continued in fellowship with her and teaching her worship songs so she can include them in her devotional time with God.
In the past few months I have been visiting these children, hoping to grow and establish friendships with them. I have been trying to learn their names, become familiar with their families, and see where they are with their studies and classes. I am basically growing in relationships with them to help to plant seeds of the Gospel in their hearts. As they learn songs and the Word of God, I pray that their little hearts will be very big to receive God!
God is always faithful and good. I am thankful to have been able to share these ministry moments with my dear brother, C*, who I know will be used in a powerful way by God to impact His Kingdom. I also pray that the people we visit will be transformed by the Word of God and that as they grow in knowledge of our Lord, that they will find comfort and hope deep in their hearts.
Please Pray:
For Gospel seeds to land on good soil and take deep roots. For God’s continued guidance in ministry opportunities. To find a place closer to my area of ministry. For good health and safe driving conditions. Knowing that you pray for me brings much comfort to my heart.
The Lord gave me an opportunity to share the Gospel with a new man who has been searching for God. He previously became a member at a church that professes to be Christian but is not correctly teaching the Bible. In this church there is a heavy focus on tithing and what God can do for people. This man has been through a lot in his life. Because of all of his hardship, he has been tithing most of his wages to his church thinking that God will give him blessings. He is the main provider for his family, including his parents. Even though his parents have been telling him this thinking is not correct, he is very stubborn. He continues to give his money and neglect the needs of his family. He believes that if he gives more to God, God will bless him and give more to him.
My heart was filled with compassion for this man, and I shared the Gospel with him. I told him that God does not require any money from him, but instead wants a relationship with him. The man listened. Because he feels a loyalty to his church and pastor, he said he would think about my words. His parents shared with me that he is in despair. Because he gives so much of his money away, he sometimes doesn’t have enough money to have food to eat or provide for the family. This man has been carrying around a great burden. He is trying to pay God, when God is the One who has paid it all for him. God wants this man to give Him all his burdens, so that he can be completely free in Christ. I am praying for more opportunities to meet with this man and to share what God’s Word truly says.
For the past few months, I have been visiting a family that recently moved to an area that is about 30 minutes from my home. They were in this area only temporarily because they work in construction. They were only here to work on a construction project. This family had a great heart to allow me to come into their home and teach them the Word of God. During this time, I was able to witness how God was opening their eyes to His truth. They even began to invite others to join them for Bible study. It brings me joy to hear them ask questions and to see their curiosity about who God is. I learned that their construction project was over and that they would be moving back to their town. I was sad to see them go, and they were sad as well. They shared with me that they will miss our gatherings together and that they hope that we will be able to meet again.
It was a great blessing for me that they knew the family that moved in after them. They are also here for a construction project. Because the first family shared about me with them, they were also excited to meet with me and start to study the Bible. I am thankful to see how God is moving in these hearts. I pray that the first family will remain steadfast, and that this new family will have a great desire for the Lord as well.
At the end of June, I had the great privilege and honor to visit the village of one of my former students. I was invited to share at a three-day conference there. I taught some essential Christian doctrine, such as: “What is sin?” “How sin entered the earth.” and “How sin separates us from God”. I also shared about why Jesus was born, His death and resurrection, fellowship with God in the Old Testament as well as the New Testament, and the Holy Spirit and how He resides in us. I was blessed to see the people come and sit very eagerly to hear about the Word of God. After each day of teaching, we went door to door and ask the people how we could pray for them.
Many shared their struggles and hardships. As we prayed with them, we also shared with them about the Living Hope we have in Jesus Christ. We also invited them to attend our conference teachings. We took the time to love on them with God’s love and have fellowship with them. To travel to this area from my house took me 15 hours by train and 2 hours by bus. I was completely blessed to have been given the opportunity to serve the Lord in this way. I am asking the Lord for more and more opportunities to share with people in this way. My heart is humbled to know that God uses us to increase His Kingdom.
I continue to see God moving and I know that it is because of the faithful prayers of all of you, God’s saints. I am confident that because of your prayers, God has been moving and opening doors for ministry because He loves the people of this nation. I have much joy in sharing all that our great Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has been doing!
The ministry of Jesus was to heal the broken-hearted by restoring them to Himself, and this is what I have been witnessing. I visited a young man who is living a very broken life. He lives outside of the village because he is lower caste, and he has an addiction to alcohol. His daily wages are very small and he chooses to waste the wages on alcohol. He also has a very broken relationship with his parents because his parents are also addicted to alcohol. I have seen how this has been very destructive in their home and life. I am very thankful God gave me the opportunity to meet them and share with them about God and how much He loves them. As I shared the Gospel with this young man, I told him how much the Lord loves him. This young man is attempting to heal his heart through alcohol, but I shared with him that in the Word of God we can find the solution to everything because we find healing there. I am praying for this man and his family. As I continue to visit them, I am praying that the Word of God will transform their hearts and minds.
In one of the villages that I have been visiting during the past six months, I have been so blessed to see how God is transforming the people there! There was a back-slidden family who had not attended church for more than two years. They did not have a good understanding of God’s Word. The church that they attended did not properly teach the Bible. Instead, they taught the church members to place their focus on tithing and on what God could do for them. It has been wonderful to see God working and how interested in God’s Word this family has become! When I first met this man and his family, they would often say that they were busy or make other plans for Sunday and not be available for Sunday service.
However, now I have seen so much growth in their lives. They are eager to receive me on Sundays, and they have said they will not make other plans. They now put Sunday fellowship as a priority. I am blessed to see them growing and asking so many questions about the Lord and the Bible. After our teaching time, we spend time going over their questions and I am seeing changes in them. It is also really amazing to see them invite other family members to their home for church service! These sheep are bringing other sheep, and my heart is really blessed by all God is doing.
I am seeing God’s faithfulness through the people I am ministering to. They are all from the lowest caste and feel very rejected and unloved by society. As I share the Gospel, they are discovering the true and living God that loves them and does not see caste or economic status. The ground is level at the cross, and they are learning that they are perfectly loved by the Creator of the universe. They are learning that only Jesus Christ can heal their broken hearts.
Thank you for your prayers, my friends and family. I ask that you would please continue to pray.
Prayer Requests:
Those I am meeting with are not baptized. Pray that as I teach them about baptism, they would have a good understanding and that God would prepare their hearts to want to receive baptism. Pray for traveling safety. The distance is far to these villages (93 miles by motorcycle). I usually return at night, and the weather is not good for motorcycle riding. Pray for open doors for future ministry. The villages that I have been visiting are along the highway, but I desire to go to the inner villages which are considered tribal and in extreme idolatry, very dark. Please pray that God will use me to bring light to these dark villages. The people’s lifestyle is in debauchery. They are illiterate. Most of the time, they have no job. If they have a job, it is a job that everyone hates (for example: cleaning drainage and toilets, or as cleaners in a bar or restaurants etc.). These people live outside of the village. All of them belong to the lowest cast of society.
No one wants to meet with or talk to them. Nobody wants to shake their hand. Basically, they don’t know what love is. They have no idea and have never experienced how it feels. It touches their heart if someone loves them unconditionally. Both men and women who live in this kind of atmosphere became alcoholics. They do not have enough money to go to a wine shop to buy alcohol, so they usually buy local, man-made alcohol in their villages and streets. This type of alcohol is super unhealthy to their bodies. Along with that, tobacco is like their chewing gum. They will have tobacco in their mouth almost 15 hours a day. They are extremely addicted to these life killing habits.
They cannot afford houses with concrete, so they build houses with rocks, mud, hay, straw, and tarpaulin covers. It is a huge blessing to me because the rural villages, where I am going, do not usually have public transportation. Prior to this blessing, I traveled in buses to reach the villages and autos (small rickshaws). It was very time consuming to reach my destinations. Also, in the evening, I was not able to get any vehicle to take me back to my home or even to a junction or local town where I could reach a highway to be able to get private transportation. Getting the motorcycle saves me so much time that I am able to reach many more villages than before. I am also able to spend more time with the people to preach the Good News and teach the Word to believers.
In one of the villages that I have been visiting for last three months, there is an old man. He is one of very few believers of that village. He gave me his tiled house (above) to use for God’s glory–to run a church on Sundays and anytime that I visit that village. I have been using it to welcome children after school to teach them about God. I also have been having Sunday worship in it. It did not have electricity, so I worked with few people to get electricity into it (left). The children are learning some stories from the Bible, Christian songs, and how to pray. The adults are learning the Word of God.
I have now been visiting seven villages every week. I am teaching Sunday services in five villages, with at-least two families in each village. It is such a great joy to meet new people in this journey and help them understand about: the Creator, Creation, Sin, the Holiness of God, the sin nature of man, how God reconciled humanity to Him with His grace, and the need for you and I to believe and accept Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. A few months ago, I had no idea at all about how to talk to these people. Their lives are very distant from technology and they mostly depend on agriculture for their livelihood. But, I asked God to give me wisdom to reach these people and villages with His Good News with simple language and examples that can help them understand about who Jesus is and why He was on this planet two thousand years ago. God has really blessed me with the wisdom to talk to these people who have had their own gods for ages. Every person and every household has their own gods and idols in their villages and houses. It is a big challenge to me to help them understand their need (for a Savior).
All I am doing is going to the villages, meeting new people there repeatedly, and preaching the Truth. I am giving them the raw Gospel, that’s it. The rest of the work belongs to the Holy Spirit. This first outreach program went better than I even expected! As I began to plan the outreach program, I wanted to use the funds wisely and completely for nonbelievers—mostly to reach villages where there are no churches or pastors for the people in the local communities. As a result, I decided to go to a village that is an hour and a half from my city. We tried to reach the beautiful children there. None of them are believers. Their families are in severe idolatry. However, I was able to reach them through a sister who is gifted in teaching Sunday School. She has been trying to teach the children there about Jesus for the last few months. Almost every child wears a thread or small idol on their neck or wrist, which was tied on by a Hindu priest or parent to try to protect the children from evil sight and black magic.
Our 1st Day Of Outreach As I went to this new village, I was welcomed into their community with flowers, which surprised me. Then we introduced ourselves to each other. Then, the children in the Sunday School started to tell memory verses they had learned from the Bible, like Psalm 23:1 and other great verses. After that, we helped the children to participate in a skit of Jesus’ birth. Each child had a role in the skit, and as they
participated, they were hearing about Jesus’ birth for the first time. Even though we didn’t have any costumes with us, it went very well.
I had also brought my laptop to show them a video of the Nativity. They enjoyed watching the video, and then we sang some Christian children’s songs with motions. Then, I led a couple of games with balloons for fun. In the first game, the children have to blow up the balloon until it bursts, and in the second balloon game, they have to sit on a blown up balloon until it bursts. Finally, we cut the cake and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and distributed the cake to all of the children and their families! We used a local government school building as a platform to do the whole program. Afterward, we gave the teacher supplies to distribute to the children, so that each child will receive the following: an English alphabet set, 1 pencil eraser and sharpener, a blue and black pen, and a slate and slate pencil or two note books, and a sketching pen set.
This is the program we followed in every village and with every child—Enter the village, tell about Jesus’ birth and the reason He was born, play games with balloons, distribute school supplies, do a skit of Jesus’ birth, show the Jesus’ birth video on the laptop, and finally celebrate Jesus’ birthday with cake. Then, we would say goodbye to the children and move to another village.
While doing the programs with the children, some of their parents also came to see and hear what we were teaching the children, so I believe they also heard the Gospel in a very simple and clear way.
Thank you all once again!
Day 1 Outreach Program (Part 2) After reaching out to 20 to 30 children in a village, I went to a neighboring village where I expected about 20 more kids. Surprisingly there were more than 40 to 50 children who participated in the celebration for Jesus’ birthday.
I used the same pattern once again with these children, but my laptop was not big enough this time to show the movie of Jesus’ birth because there were so many kids. In this village, I really felt like I wished I had a projector with a big screen and a microphone with a sound box because some people were standing to see what was happening. If I would have had a big screen, I would have showed the movie to all of them, and at the end I would have been able to explain the Gospel to them. Anyhow, so many children were blessed who participated in this program. At one point, I wasn’t able to control them while I was distributing stationary items and cakes.
What I came to understand through this children outreach ministry is that all of the older generations (the children’s uncles and aunts etc.) somehow knew about Christianity, but they are so opposed to it. So if some of these kids grow up continuing to listen about Jesus Christ and stories from the Bible, within a few years there will be a good church in these communities.
This is A* who is studying 7th grade. She is in the second village that I visited. She is a Hindu girl, but she came to me and asked
“Brother, how should I pray to Jesus? Should I stand or bow or kneel?”
So I said, “It doesn’t matter how your posture looks when you pray, but tell me this–Why do you want to pray to Jesus?”
So she said “It has been a couple years that my parents are not living together. I live with my mother in a different village. My brother lives with my father in this village and whenever I have holidays I come to visit my father. But my father never comes to see my mother. So I wanted to pray to Jesus to bring my mother and father together.”
After hearing her story, I felt tears in my eyes because I knew how it scars a child to have a single parent when all of their friends and others children have both parents. Since I studied in a residential school, most of my childhood was without my parents. So I felt so close to her issue so I encouraged her and told her that I will be praying about her family.
I was very satisfied to meet these types of children and to introduce Jesus to them in their lowest circumstances. This child is super smart, very humble and believing in Jesus, that someday Jesus will bring her family together in unity. I wish I could meet her once again and strengthen in her belief upon Jesus Christ.
Day 2 Outreach Program: One of the believers from a church invited all of their relatives for Christmas some of whom are non believers and some are believers. So I attended that house fellowship church and preached the Word of God. I followed the outreach pattern with the kids and encouraged them to come to church every Sunday. I was able to meet kids here who are living with a single parent once again and strengthened them in spiritual things and prayed for their financial problems.
All of the kids and their parents were so happy to see the balloon games, cake cutting, and the distribution of stationary items. More than that, the children got introduced to Jesus and they experienced His love towards them.
Day 3 Outreach Program In this village we went to, most of the people live in huts. After reaching there, we sent out a call to all the children. They appeared slowly. I used the same pattern with these children also.
Some of the children probably held a slate for the first time. The first thing I had them practice on the slate is what I had written on the slate (Love you Jesus) after I gave them the stationary items.
I was so blessed to plant seeds of hope in these little hearts and to give them a few items they need for their education like note books, slate, sketch pens etc., and show them the movie of Jesus’ birth and celebrate Jesus’ birthday.
Day 4 Outreach Program We have a gas station that is run by the government in our hometown. Prisoners work there under authority and security. My father knows a prisoner who has been working there for the last few years. I told my father that I would like to meet that prisoner and celebrate Christmas with him. So my father helped me meet him. When I met him, I explained my heart for the prisoners. He said “Since it is a festival, nobody will say anything. You can bring a few cool drinks, disposal cups and cakes. I am going to invite my officer who is a deputy jailer to cut the cake.”
So I did as he said. The officer who got invited by the jailer introduced himself to me. I asked his name and added his name in a prayer before the cake cutting. Then 2o to 25 prisoners who work there gathered and participated in the celebration. Since they do not have much time to leave their jobs, I wasn’t able to take their picture altogether.
The prisoner who my father knows told me before I left that he wants to give me an ID card after he is released from jail. This way, I can go into the jail with government permission and spread the Good News. So I am praying for his release.
It was a happy thing to meet the prisoners and their officers and show them the love of Christ. The officer fed the cake to the jailers and jailers fed the cake to officers and I saw equality.
There are no ups and downs at the foot of the cross we all are one I was so happy to see the love of Christ made them equal on that day.
Day 4 Outreach Program (Part 2) When my mother was hospitalized for more than 4 months in a government hospital, these pharmacists became good friends of mine. They would ask how my mother was doing when I went to the pharmacy. They have seen hundreds and thousands of Covid patients dying in that hospital.
So I went to that pharmacy on Christmas with a cake and soft drinks. I told them that my mother is alive and doing well because of her God and that today is the day that He came to the earth for all of us. Then they welcomed me inside the pharmacy and allowed me to have fellowship with them. All of them are serious idolaters, but I used my mother’s testimony to talk about our Lord. Now, I have more access to them to talk about God and what they have to do in response to the Gospel.
This Christmas season and the funds you guys sent helped me reach them with a great testimony. They know it is a miracle for someone who was admitted in an unconscious condition and to come alive and go home from the Covid ward after four months. So they believe it is only God who can do that.
God bless,
Pastor 7*
*Names and faces have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor7/pastor7/2023/01/21/thanks-be-to-god/

I want to thank all of you for your efforts in supporting us. This would be a great time for me to invite them to church during the week to teach them about God from the Bible and maybe have more time of fellowship and worshiping our Lord. Pray for this upcoming season. May my desire also be the desire of all the youngsters in the church, and may the holidays be great days to focus on spiritual life growth for them. I also explained to them that worship should not just occur at the church building, but it should be their life style!
The other believers also enjoy worshiping the Lord with new songs. I am slowly training them not to sound like gentiles (the world) when we gather and worship but we should be decent and in order in the fellowship.
While sharing the Word of God during the first month, I taught them some basic fundamental Christian principles from the Bible. It has now been almost 6 weeks. I have started to teach verse-by-verse from the book of 1st Corinthians. I was amazed at how the believers took it. It was like me at Bible College! I had never known about verse-by-verse teaching prior to Bible college. Now it is the same way with the believers here in the church. They love the way we are studying the Bible. The beauty is that they were amazed at how much they can learn the Word of God by studying the Bible verse-by-verse in depth. I am so glad that they are really able to taste the Word of God through this recipe. I am about to finish up the 1st chapter in 1st Corinthians. I am teaching about unity and how we ought to love one another and how we should have the same testimony as Christians in this society!
I teach 2 times on Sundays. From 10 AM to 12:30 PM, I share at a church in the city which is close to my home. From 7 to 9 in the evening, I share at a church in a village that is about 16 miles away. We are praying to start a church in another place also. Right now, we are waiting to hear from that family who is planning to host us and open their house for church fellowship.
I have great satisfaction to see how God is using me in this ministry and believers are learning the Word of God. They are on their way to become more mature disciples, instead of believers with stunted growth.
So please pray for these churches. I am truly happy for being busy in studying and making sermons for different churches on Sundays and for house fellowships, birthdays and different occasions during the week. It has always been a great joy to write to you about all of the things God has been doing here. But, the month of May has been the most difficult season so far. Depending on the severity of the spread of the Corona virus, different states have been locking down their states different times. In my state, May was a month of lock-down. Still, we are in lock-down during this month of June. We are allowed to go out only from 6 to 10am. (It is different for government employees.) We have seen more than 400,000 cases in a single day. Thousands of children became orphans, and multitudes died in the past couple weeks. Day by day, we are hearing about new things- like the black, white, and yellow fungus. So, yes, we are in real trouble, real fear, and real loneliness.
As a nation, our country, sent a vaccine to several other countries. But the government has failed to get the vaccine to its own people. We are in lack of the vaccine. No one really knows when we could all be vaccinated. Since it is a huge country with a big population, it is a big mess with the virus everywhere. I have had Covid already (during the 1st wave) and now we are having the 2nd wave here. In other states of our country, the 3rd wave is also devastating the people and nation. Maybe some or most of you have been watching in the news what is happening with our country.
Apart from this sad update, I have some good news too! The first thing is that God has been so faithful! He kept us so safe all of these days. Even in the future days, He is the One who will keep us safe. The second thing is: When I started my YouTube channel, I thought of teaching only in my own language. Some friends of mine from different countries were saddened because they cannot understand my language. So, they wrote me personally and that led me to try to teach in English.
In these English language videos, I want to talk about basic things that people are confused about from or in the Bible–both doctrinally and theologically. This is truly a great semester with many official challenges; however, it is beautiful to watch how God oversees all of the things going on and turns them to glory for His name’s sake!
There are a few things that I would like to share with you all, and also let you know how we are doing!
The first problem we faced this semester was continuous heavy rains for weeks. All of our neighborhood homes, streets and villages were under water. God used us to help provide many basic survival items to the people who are in the refugee camp, such as rice, lentils, and other food items. Many have lost their deer and cattle. During this time, our students became ill with viral fevers; I took them to the hospital, and they were able to continue to attend classes.
Also this semester, for the first time, police officers came to check our Bible College Campus. They checked all of the citizenship cards and asked many questions, such as, “How long have you been here? What are you learning here?” etc.. We have been through a lot of trials this semester. We were told to send some students home. They made more requirements housing, even though we showed them what comfortable accommodations we had here.
This has been a huge loss mentally and emotionally. We began the semester with twenty students but we will be ending the semester with twelve students in a couple of weeks. However, regardless of what happened with the government officials and the media, we were strengthened and encouraged by God to continue our teaching here. The students are growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ.
So please pray that whatever paper documentation has to be done for the campus and the requirements they asked for us to run the college here would be done smoothly and swiftly within the government register offices.
During this semester, I was also able to visit two homes for the physically and mentally disabled and spend some great time with them. At one of the homes, I was able to take the students and let them experience how to show love and concern as they serve others this semester. It is difficult to describe what I personally experienced in those two homes. When you see the people there who smile at you heartfully and try to talk with you, even though you never met them before- words cannot express the emotions I felt and the reason that God allowed me to go there and be a part of their day. Everyone at the homes have different stories. Most were abandoned at railway stations or other public places because of the disabilities they were born with.
What a great joy I had this semester to study 1st Corinthians once again and to teach the students! I have been moved and encouraged by many verses in this epistle, but especially 1 Corinthians 4:1 “Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.” It has reminded me how I should expose my life as an example, being in this ministry as a brother and teacher to the students, and how they should be equipped for the kingdom of God.
Some of the students who once did not even know how to speak the English language are now in their fourth semester of classes, and they are translating the classes into their native languages from English. They also translate for Sunday and Wednesday chapel services. This makes me so happy, not only that they are now able to translate, but more so because they are now able to read more English commentaries and books to gain more knowledge. Using these resources, the students are preparing and practicing sermons and teaching during their weekly devotions.
I truly appreciate your time, love and prayers! Please continue to pray about the barriers we have right now from the government for running this school and for welcoming back the girls onto the campus to learn. Pray that God will take care of them for His glory and in His time through His people.
God bless you,
Pastor 7*
*Names have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor7/pastor7/2019/12/19/help-in-times-of-trouble/

A lot happened here within the last couple of months, and there is a huge need for prayer! I am so grateful to our Lord to have you all with me in this journey.
I had a great time meeting with a pastor and his family, who are working in the northern part of our country. I went to visit to see how the ministry is going there and how God is advancing His kingdom through their church. It was a great encouragement for me to meet a man of God who is working with a great passion and burden for people. I was able to meet with church believers there, and I encouraged them for few minutes and had worship time. It was all good!
Meeting Pastor 9*. was a sweet and blessed time. Most of the time, I tried to get to know him and we shared ministry experiences. God has been so faithful to both of us in the ministry while we are serving in different provinces of the nation. It was a good time to be able to help him with different things that needed to be done to prepare for the Pastors School there in the future.
Also, visiting Pastor 13* his family and village was a different experience for me. I was there when I was a student in Bible college, and meeting him again was a blessed time, just like meeting the other brothers who are ministering in the North.
Sharing about ministry experiences was our primary topic all of the time while I was with them, and talking about believers and their lives was very encouraging. We also visited other villages and gathered young people to encourage them with the Word of God. We shared how beautiful and strengthening it is to have Jesus with them, even during their lowest point of life and when nothing seems to work out. We encouraged them to choose to walk with Jesus every single day.
The entire trip to the North was good. There were several moments that encouraged me, and a few disappointing moments when I realized how difficult it is to do ministry in the place where these pastors are working. There are many challenges, like ministering among villagers who live high on the top of mountains. Their culture, beliefs and strong ancient beliefs are deeply rooted in their minds. I spent a good amount of time encouraging the brothers there that God will work it out, and we need to just be faithful in our portion and responsibility.
I was so happy to return to the South and begin to invest the Word into the students’ lives here. This fall, I have begun teaching Inductive Bible Study, and I will end the semester teaching 1&2 Corinthians.
The students have a good weekly schedule with included study hours, and they are listening to Pastor C. in two different languages. Currently, they are going through Genesis and Exodus, and some of them said the teaching sounds so simple but is very profound. Yes, they are understanding and learning God’s Word.
Sometimes, we have constant rain for a few days at a time here, as it is monsoon season. I am asking you all to please keep the students’ health in your prayers. Some of them are getting viral fevers and other physical illnesses, and some are homesick. In the beginning of the semester orientation class, I shared many things with them to encourage them and to help them understand the reason they are here, and how important it is every single day and hour to grow in the knowledge of Christ.
Thank you, brothers and sisters, for loving and caring for us!
We love you!
Pastor 7*
*Names have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor7/pastor7/2019/08/13/ministering-in-the-mountains/

I hope you all are doing great! We had a great semester, and the students learned many difficult things that they had never heard explained before from the Word of God. I was so thankful to God when some students came to me with tears and explained how God is working in their lives as they are focusing on His Word and trying to understand what God has for them in their lives through His Word.
Most of the students changed greatly during the first 1-1 ½ months of Bible College. In the beginning, they would waste a lot of their time. (I mean, in their free time they could have done so much for their spiritual lives’ benefit.) They also used to be idle and spend time doing nothing profitable. It bothered me so much, because I was a Bible College student once, and I know the different stages students go through. I had a burden in my heart to tell them how important each and every moment on this campus is. I explained to them how much the leadership has sacrificed to teach them the Word. As time passed, I observed the student beginning to use their free time in better ways. For example, some of them started to learn to play music. Some studied the Word more. Some listened to sermons. Some shared their testimonies. Some helped other students with their homework in their free time. This was not the result of the staff counseling them or talking about the seriousness of time, but it was actually because they began to allow the Holy Spirit to work in their lives. They understood His Word. As a result, some of the students have said that they are going to preach in their local churches what they have been learning here- because they have seen how their lives have been changed in this short amount of time. They are hoping that this will bless so many believers who are seeking Truth. I am very happy that I was able to teach 1&2 Kings this semester. As the time passes, God has been teaching me how I can teach His Word to the students that come from different backgrounds.
I was so sad to hear from some of the new students that they only knew a few people from the Old Testament- like Abraham, Moses and David. The reason for this is that they never get to hear about the rest of the Old Testament in their local churches, and when they study the books themselves, it is confusing for them. This semester, they went through 1 and 2 Kings, along with many other books of the Bible, verse by verse and chapter by chapter. After this, they said, “We did not know how easy it is to understand the Old Testament and to know all of the people that God chose for His purpose. Now we understand the whole theme of the Bible, ’the Redemption’.”
After hearing these comments from students, what could be more satisfying and joyful to you as a friend, brother, leader, and teacher? So dear team, the students’ words reminded me of our vision, “For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”
After I discussed it with my leadership, I introduced something very useful and helpful to the students that we used to do in my Bible college-students teaching each other during evening devotions to practice.
Each student is given a Scripture passage, and they preach on that passage when it is their turn. I was able to give them passages from the Gospel of John. Two students preached each week. Most of the students did surprisingly well. Girls, who always seem to be very quiet, preached great sermons. I encouraged a few students who missed some basic things in their sermons, like bringing people to the cross, to do better next time.
This semester was truly a huge blessing to all of us here as we are growing in the knowledge of Christ every single day. I am sure that without your love and caring we would not have reached so far. I really thank each and every one of you who are stretching out your hands and hearts to labor for us fervently in prayer and in other kinds of support.
We had a great Easter day with the Word of God, and after that we had some dances and skits about Jesus.
This semester, we also celebrated one special birthday. One of the students had never celebrated that special day in her life. Her classmates celebrated it with her, and she felt so loved.
Overall, the semester was great, and as a staff we always have a great brotherly love and responsibility toward the students.
Thank you for taking the time to read and to encourage me with your kind words. I will get back to you soon with more great things that are glorifying our Lord! Please continue to pray for our time during the semester break, and pray for the students who have gone out into the world as they shine as light in dark areas. Also pray for our next semester, that God will send more students from different places of Asia who are in His will to equip them for His kingdom and to send them to the places where there is no cross.
God bless you,
Pastor 7*
*Names have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor7/pastor7/2019/07/01/blossoming-in-the-lord/

I am again very happy to get back to you with many new things that have happened recently here. I hope every one is doing great in the race that we have for Christ.
The month of March has been very productive for me and the students here, as I am continuing teaching from 1 and 2 Kings. I am so thankful that God is blessing me with great applications to use in the classroom- which are very useful to the students and to me at the same time. Last semester, I had six students in my class. This semester, the Lord brought fifteen more students from different states! I have had a great time teaching them a review all the way from Genesis to 1&2 Samuel. We reviewed right up to our current semester class, Kings. I taught them several classes on the flow of Biblical history, because they have never gone to Bible College before. It is wonderful to see how God gathers people from different provinces to meditate on His Word and to experience His Word and to understand it in a rightly divided way.
As I am going through 1 Kings with the students, these two verses have become very personal to me, “Blessed be the LORD, who has given rest to His people Israel according to all that he promised. There has NOT failed ONE word of all his good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses.” 1 Kings 8:56 and, “Let your heart therefore be loyal to the LORD our God, to walk in His statutes and keep His commandments, as at this day.” 1 Kings 8:61. Most of the students are doing well with their assignments and are following the time schedule. When I find a few students who are not doing well with their studies and obligations here, I talk with them. I remind them of what a privilege this opportunity is for them to study the Word of God here, and of the remarkable facilities that God has provided for them, so that they can focus on studies. I also explain to them the value of time while they are here on campus. As part of the classes, I am showing them videos of Solomon’s temple and other maps and locations to make the Word memorable and understandable. Students are asking great questions! I love to learn new things, and love even more to share what I have learned from the Word.
We are also so blessed with gifts from teams who visited! We and the local young people were blessed with soccer jerseys and the students got cleats. We played with the community young people a few times. We are praying for God to help us reach the community. I remember one of the pastor’s words to our team after the game. He said, “Remember, the purpose is not just to have fun playing a game with them. We are also not trying to get them to become just converts to Christianity. Our ultimate goal is to make them disciples of Jesus.” He then reminded us of Matthew 28:19, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Those words inspired us so much, and they became our fundamental “theme” words to continue to play with them and show them love.
We found that most of us were not good enough soccer players to compete with the local young people (even though it was a friendly game). So, one of the team took the responsibility to teach us how to move and play strategically. I am very thankful for him. His training was so effective and the students learned some good moves from him. The students also had a great time hearing his teachings on the letter to the Hebrews.
I should tell you about one more huge blessing! When the team was here, I was blessed with an ipad from a Calvary Chapel! I have been praying for this device for the past several months, along with some other things, and I was so surprised to see how God listens to my prayers! The ipad is very useful to me while I am teaching. It also helps me make my own notes for my semester break preaching and so many ministry purposes.
It’s been a great time this semester to have Pastor 5*’s family here with us at the campus. We staff always learn many things from this sweet family! They help us grow in our personal relationship with God, and give suggestions on how to organize various aspects of the school. We are having a great semester studying the Word, praying for each other and helping one another in spiritual things. Please continue to pray for the students as they are introduced to the new system of learning the Bible (verse by verse). They come from backgrounds where some of the servants of God teach topically with strange doctrines. So, please pray that the Holy Spirit will help them understand and encourage them towards Jesus as they are spending time in the Word.
I received emails from some of you. Please know that those are very precious to me. They made my day! I studied well, but somehow I still had two exams I needed to take to complete the degree. In the month of December, they sent me a notification about these two exams, and I was able to pay my exam fee. Then, I prepared and waited for the exams. As the date drew closer to the exams, I was supposed to receive an entrance ticket, which would allow me to take the exams. They told me that I did not receive the entrance ticket because I am no longer a student of the college or under college management. As a result, I had to meet with many professors and officers to receive my entrance ticket from the university so that I could take the exams. (They had not initially told me that I needed to go through a different process to get the entrance ticket, since I am no longer an active student.) Finally, I received my entrance ticket only 1 hour before the exam, on January 23. I am telling you all of this because that was a season when I could not communicate with any of you because all I had was my old phone, that I cannot use for sending a newsletter. Thank you for being so kind!
I did well on my exams and returned back to the Bible college, and God used me in many ways. We hosted two teams back-to-back. This was a great opportunity for me to do various types of ministry along with the teams. I went with the students to a city to do an outreach where one team also attended three days of open air meetings. The students were able to serve practically, ministering with people who came from different areas and with people who speak different dialects.
Before we went to that outreach, the team did a puppet show for the community. I was glad to be a part of it. The team used puppets to teach about God. They also blessed the children in the community with school bags and water bottles. We are all trying to reach the people in the community here, and we need your prayer support.
After that, we hosted the other team, and I was so blessed to travel with them to a large city. We visited brothel colonies there, where there are more than twenty thousand women. These women are from different areas, and they have been seduced to come here for good jobs. Then, they end up in the prostitution business as their profession. We met a pastor who has a rescue house in the heart of that area, with his church. We were able to hear his testimony, how he dedicated his life to rescue the women from that profession, to share the Good News with them, and to restore them back to their homes.
We also visited local slum areas in this city and saw how our Lord became a hope for them in the midst of all of their circumstances. We prayed with many families, and those who were ill. We saw a church there with four walls made of women’s clothing. One man who accepted the Lord Jesus gave his small amount of land for the church service. All the church could do was to put up a few logs for the building support beams, and they covered the sides with woman’s clothing. All the Christians in that slum area attend church there every week. It is so fascinating to see their hearts for God!
After our short trip to this city, we arrived back at the school. Pastor A taught the students about how to interpret the Bible, including the pastoral epistles. After those classes, many students said that they had never understood the Bible before like that. They said, now they are able to understand why it is written the way it is.
This semester, I am teaching 1 & 2 Kings to the students. When I look at all the things that happened before and what is happening right now, it is just beautiful! It is very clear that it is the Lord’s will to bring all these people from different parts of the world together to serve Him.
God gave us another opportunity to reach out to many other flood victim families with many more basic needs. I heard from the local pastor in this area, that 7 more people were added to the church after our little crew visiting!
It reminds me of Acts 2:47, “And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved”. It is an incredible instance to see how God saves people. During our first trip we simply went there and distributed supplies to them. At the end, we told them how Jesus was our motivation to help them. The seeds were sown into their hearts and on our second trip we found people that are already attending the church. Praise God!
Thank you for your consistent prayers for this ministry. Please know that not a single moment of your time in prayer has been in vain! Every single prayer and every single second that you invested and prayed reached God, and I am seeing the ramification here.
Students enjoyed visiting the flood victims, as well. They were able to see the practical Christian life of loving people whom you have never seen before; how to stretch out your hands to help them, and how to smile at the people who are questioning you about the Person you are preaching about. Personally, I am looking forward to more outreaches with the students, because there is a great need every where we go. In this outreach some of them preached and some sang and all helped to distribute the provisions.
Classes have been very interesting! I have been teaching the students about Jonathan and David’s friendship. I was explaining the four facets of friendship which are initiative, support, encouragement and risk with different verses from 1 Samuel. I often remember how true it was in my Bible College life, as a student, that my leadership took initiative to instill the Word of God into my life. They supported me in different circumstances and they encouraged me to bring me to this point.
Thank you team! I don’t know some of you, but you are taking all these basic friendship facets, which became an oil of encouragement to me to continue my race for our Lord.
Regarding campus development, we are doing well! There is a difference between working because you have to, and working with your heart because you feel inside it is your responsibility. I am watching the students as they are working from their heart. They love to work and all of them are gifted with a servant’s heart. Most of the students now know how to work with machines and they have also learned how to repair the machines. We are weed whacking. After we gather all the heaps of weeds, we dry them. Then, we burn them after they have dried.
Also we did lot of wood cutting (trees had fallen from heavy wind, and some old tree stems were on the ground randomly) we collected all the wood, cut it, and stacked it in different corners of the campus.
We have also planted a vegetable garden. At one point, I was very disappointed because I did not see the growth of sprouts. It took a bit of time to see the useful plants.
We sowed many kinds of vegetables and leafy vegetables that we cook often. I was so happy to see the growth! I understood how a farmer feels after all his hard work; starting with making good ground to plant in, all the way to the time of harvest.
It was a great joy to have a pastor here with us and to get inspired about how to read the Word of God. He taught us Inductive Bible Study. I was able to sit and take notes on the classes. This is the fifth time I have been taught on this subject. I loved it. I have learned so much from him.
It reminded me how much I should be patient when I read the Bible and how careful I should be as I look for the meanings in each passage. The students we have here are from different dialects so we had two translators. It went so well that I am sure now everyone knows the epistle of Jude.
It was also a great week because I was able to spend time with pastor 6 * who used to work with me in a Christian non-profit organization.
Pastor 6* first introduced me to CCBC in a nearby country. We both are extremely happy for each other! Before, we both knew about God, but we were not taught correctly. Now, we both truly know God! After going to Bible college for 2 years, we are now serving God with the same ministry. This leaves me in so much joy all the time! I am sure our pastor from the college in that country is so happy to see us serving back home–after we had been his students in his country. We went out one day and had a refreshing time as we remembered what God has done in our life and thanked Him.
I am excited to meet you, team, again through my next letter with many more remarkable things that God is doing here. I hope everyone is doing excellent!
So many things have happened in the month of August. First, I had several discussions with my coworkers about the schedule that students should follow while they live on this campus, and then I gave the students their routine for the semester. Typically, their day begins at 6:00 am with morning devotion and ends by 9:30 pm after their study hall. I encouraged them with something I learned in my Bible college, “Before you see anyone’s face, seek Jesus’ face first, and start your day by spending time with God.”
After 2 weeks of smooth running of the college, one of the students became sick and needed to be taken to the hospital in town. They later referred him to another hospital in a far city, which is 3-4 hours away from where we live. I went with that student, along with a couple of other guys, for a few days to admit him to the hospital and find out what was going on in his body.
After more than 3 weeks, we came to find out that he caught Tuberculosis and needed 6 months of medication, so he went back to his home to get treatment. I was sorrowful to lose one of the students temporarily, but Lord willing, he will be back next semester. I am thankful to my coworkers who covered my teaching days with their subjects while I was away from the campus, working on our student’s healthcare.
This semester, I am teaching 1 & 2 Samuel, and I just love it. I am teaching so many Christ-centered applications to the students from this subject. They are working on their assignments, and they are getting good grades in the written exams. They ask many questions during class and also outside class.
I’m learning that studying the Bible as a teacher is very different from when I studied the Bible as a student. Now, I can imagine how many hours my leaders studied, and how many late nights they went through to teach us when I studied as a Bible college student. 1 Samuel 3:19 has become very close to my heart as I am learning and teaching through my classes: ‘So Samuel grew and the LORD was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground’ and 1 Samuel 16:7 ‘For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart’.
Throughout the week, we all work together after class on campus development. Since it is rainy season, the weeds have grown very quickly, so all the staff and students work together to make the campus look presentable. We use machines to cut the weeds and clear out the unnecessary wood on the campus. I am thankful to the leadership who teach me how to use and repair the machines and suggest how to keep things in a clean and ordered way.
I also had an opportunity to go with my coworker, pastor 14*, and our neighbor to help the victims of recent floods in this state. We filled our neighbor’s jeep with basic survival needs like rice, edible oil, sugar, snacks and many clothes that blessed more than 50 families. One woman shared on behalf of her family and friends, that these were things that they desperately needed. It was at that moment that our neighbor started to share that Jesus is the reason we came to them. Please pray for the seeds of the Gospel that were sown to grow and that many will give their lives to the Lord.
God bless you,
Pastor 7*
* Names have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor7/pastor7/2018/10/23/serving-the-lord-with-gladness/

It is a great pleasure for me to begin writing you this letter about how God is working through us here. During the semester break I got to visit my home and spent some quality time with my family. After spending a few days with my family, I thought there should be another reason that God sent me back to my home state again during that specific time, so I started to pray for opportunities to go and teach the Word. As the days passed by, I was attending Sunday church services in local areas and every week I went to church my heart was broken (literally, as I saw the superstition) to see the way they worship our God and to hear about all their prosperity teachings.
I also learned about a 24 year old Christian who is a pastor of a small church. He has a passion for ministry, but doesn’t have proper knowledge about what the Bible highlights. He graduated from a local Bible College where they emphasize material blessings (prosperity Gospel) and also seemed to have some other untrue teachings. He has a heart to learn. I felt that he just didn’t have good teaching. He is teaching the things he learned in his Bible College. So, I tried to learn more about him. I got to listen to his testimony, which is very inspirational!
This is part of his testimony; After Bible College, he saw how his leaders were wrongly idolizing their higher authorities so he didn’t join with them or with any other denominations for support- though he was asked by different local Christian leaders many times to join with them. I saw how sincerely he wanted to serve God. I asked him if I could teach in his church on one Sunday and he said, “Yes, whenever you can.” I thanked our Lord for that opportunity.
One of this brother’s relatives accepted Christ and opened her house to organize a place for church service every Sunday.
However, there is a great sacrifice behind it. This is the only room she has, one part of it is the kitchen, and the rest is the living area and the bedroom as well. There are many who have bigger places, but this woman has a big heart to accommodate the believers.
Also, this young Pastor served in many other local areas, but because of his family responsibilities (it’s cultural) he is unable to continue to go to nearby villages to preach and organize church services with the believers. I ask you all to join your prayers along with mine; for him to have opportunities to learn about God in a proper way and serve God mightily.
I also had a second opportunity that God gave me during my semester break. I was so encouraged to meet another pastor and the ministry he is blessed with! He has been in the ministry for the past eighteen years, but the remote village people he is working with have become so stubborn about Christianity that they are not taking God and the Gospel seriously. They are treating it as just another religion.
Also, because of many other local pastors’ teaching (usually big pastors conduct open air meetings, somewhat like healing crusades, to teach and collect large sums of money) many believers became “Cruisters”. Only twice in a year they come to church ( for Easter and Christmas) and only then the church will be packed with believers. These believers are fading away in their spiritual life, so while I was there I encouraged them from 2 Peter 1: 1-11 to keep going and keep growing in our Lord. You can see a whole new beautiful generation (the kids) in the picture and I am requesting you all to take time to pray for them- that they will choose to follow Jesus when they become adults.
The family you see to the right believes that God called them to this remote area for His purpose, and so no matter how hard it is to serve there they are consistently trying to reach people. Please pray for them.
As I am travelling to different villages, one of the strong points I am confronting always with people is Caste system. Most of the communities here believe that Jesus Christ is the God for lower caste people, so it is a big deal to these people for a higher caste person to accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord. As this family is living and doing ministry among higher caste people, please pray that they may not get discouraged with their target.
I am holding my hands together while I beseech you all, my team that prays for me, to pray that I may see the urgency of the Gospel and the necessity of rightly dividing the Word of God in the places that God is sending me. This is what God spoke to my heart during this semester break: “as long as I am willing to serve voluntarily, He would bless me with as many opportunities as I ask”.
God bless you,
Pastor 7*
* Names have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor7/pastor7/2018/09/02/great-need-of-rightly-dividing-the-word-of-truth/

It is a great joy to me to convey what we are doing as a team here!
