Thank you for your steadfast prayers. Knowing that you pray for me brings much comfort to my heart.

The Lord gave me an opportunity to share the Gospel with a new man who has been searching for God. He previously became a member at a church that professes to be Christian but is not correctly teaching the Bible. In this church there is a heavy focus on tithing and what God can do for people. This man has been through a lot in his life. Because of all of his hardship, he has been tithing most of his wages to his church thinking that God will give him blessings. He is the main provider for his family, including his parents. Even though his parents have been telling him this thinking is not correct, he is very stubborn. He continues to give his money and neglect the needs of his family. He believes that if he gives more to God, God will bless him and give more to him.

Hello Team,

I am having a great time and am satisfied in ministry to the places, villages and houses that God has been sending me to for the past few months.

These are villages and homes that nobody want to go to. The people’s lifestyle is in debauchery. They are illiterate. Most of the time, they have no job. If they have a job, it is a job that everyone hates (for example: cleaning drainage and toilets, or as cleaners in a bar or restaurants etc.). These people live outside of the village. All of them belong to the lowest cast of society.

God Is Working in the Midst of Darkness!

Hello Team,

I am here with great news about how God is working with His servant in the midst of darkness!

The first thing is that last month, I was blessed by a motorcycle for the ministry! It is a huge blessing to me because the rural villages, where I am going, do not usually have public transportation. Prior to this blessing, I traveled in buses to reach the villages and autos (small rickshaws). It was very time consuming to reach my destinations. Also, in the evening, I was not able to get any vehicle to take me back to my home or even to a junction or local town where I could reach a highway to be able to get private transportation. Getting the motorcycle saves me so much time that I am able to reach many more villages than before. I am also able to spend more time with the people to preach the Good News and teach the Word to believers.

I want to thank all of you for your efforts in supporting us. This first outreach program went better than I even expected! As I began to plan the outreach program, I wanted to use the funds wisely and completely for nonbelievers—mostly to reach villages where there are no churches or pastors for the people in the local communities. As a result, I decided to go to a village that is an hour and a half from my city. We tried to reach the beautiful children there. None of them are believers. Their families are in severe idolatry. However, I was able to reach them through a sister who is gifted in teaching Sunday School. She has been trying to teach the children there about Jesus for the last few months. Almost every child wears a thread or small idol on their neck or wrist, which was tied on by a Hindu priest or parent to try to protect the children from evil sight and black magic.

Hello Team,

November has been a challenging month for me in the process of finding out what God has for me in regards to a church plant.

I taught in a church for 3 to 4 months prior to the conference. To make the long story short, I am not willing to be part of it anymore. I have a couple of families who have come alongside me to start a new work for God. So, I started a Bible study in one of the believer’s houses. We are also visiting those who are sick and trying to comfort them with God’s Word and our presence in their houses.

A Month of Refreshing

Hello Team,

October was a month of refreshing! Refreshment from the Word of God, seeing my old friends, making new friends, traveling to my favorite place, having fellowship with my co-laborers and eating delicious food with all of the saints at the conference.

5 years ago, I graduated from CBI in a nearby country. It was such a happy moment for me to be part of the graduation ceremony of my students in whose lives I was able to invest my time and studies–just like my pastors and leaders did in my life! Students who graduated told me “Thank you for everything!” and “Thank you for your time.” These things that they said blessed me so much.

I have been teaching the young girls in the church new songs, music and about how worship in the church should look. They are enjoying the new songs, and the meaning in the songs. The instruments and singing are becoming in tune with new sounds. I also explained to them that worship should not just occur at the church building, but it should be their life style!

One of the thing that I have failed to do during the last seven years is to get to know the other pastors who are doing ministry in my hometown and district. Mostly, I thought, “They do not know the Word of God properly. Most of them are not educated and did not go to a good Bible college. They love to teach prosperity teachings–some unknowingly and some knowingly.” So what happened was, I built a wall between them and me. But, as we all know, knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.

I cannot believe a month has already gone by!

The most happy experience that God gave us as a family this month is a few of our friends visiting my house to check on my Mom. We had a good worship and prayer time together. My mother was so happy that they came all of the way from a different state to see her. My family and I have been refreshed by their presence. They encouraged us by saying that we all are not alone in this because hundreds of saints are praying for us.I had to take a few weeks break from the current semester because my mother had low oxygen levels once again and was suffering from severe back pain. She was admitted into the hospital once again for a couple of days. There are so many blood tests, scans, doctors fees and ambulance expenses that I had to go through once again.

In the month of March, I rejoined into the ministry. After experiencing a terrible season in my life, God gave me an opportunity to join with the Bible College here to teach and to be part of the current semester.

I am teaching 1st Corinthians to the new students. It is always an awesome thing to see how the students react to the contextual verse by verse teachings. It is a great joy to get to know the students, hear their testimonies each semester, and see how God works with different hearts!

My Cry Came Before Him

Hello Team,

You have been hearing about how God is working in my mother’s life. It is an absolute miracle that she is alive today! For the past few days, she has been able to walk a few steps with the help of walker and oxygen. The doctors are not sure how long she will need oxygen. One doctor suggested turning off her oxygen for ten minutes every hour during the day time, which is showing me that my mom is doing a little better with her breathing. When we turn off her oxygen for ten minutes, her oxygen saturation is 58. (A normal healthy person’s saturation fluctuates between 95 to 99.) So now we know how much more she needs to get better to be lead a normal life.

It’s been a very different season here just like everywhere else. The influence of the pandemic still exists. The news channels are continuously exhorting about the third wave in our state.

However, I was so happy to meet my friend, Pastor 6*. We talked about our next semester teaching schedule, last semester experiences with the students, and the blessing to hear each and every student’s testimony of what they learned and experienced during the semester. I was so excited and humbled to see videos of their practical ministry and how they are getting trained for their future ministry. Last semester, I taught from the book of 1st Corinthians. This semester I am going to teach 2nd Corinthians and Colossians. I was very happy hearing what the students learned through 1st Corinthians. They are now able to see the difference between what is happening in the churches around and what the Word of God says about how churches should be organized and what Christianity is and what religion is, and problems in the church and solutions from the Word of God. They have learned how important it is to stick to the Word of God and not fall for reputation, money or other luxuries in life. I pray that they would be faithful in what they have learned, and come to learn in future semesters, and plant more churches.

Hello Team,

I never imagined that I would be this sad while writing a newsletter. It has always been a great joy to write to you about all of the things God has been doing here. But, the month of May has been the most difficult season so far. Depending on the severity of the spread of the Corona virus, different states have been locking down their states different times. In my state, May was a month of lock-down. Still, we are in lock-down during this month of June. We are allowed to go out only from 6 to 10am. (It is different for government employees.) We have seen more than 400,000 cases in a single day. Thousands of children became orphans, and multitudes died in the past couple weeks. Day by day, we are hearing about new things- like the black, white, and yellow fungus. So, yes, we are in real trouble, real fear, and real loneliness.
As a nation, our country, sent a vaccine to several other countries. But the government has failed to get the vaccine to its own people. We are in lack of the vaccine. No one really knows when we could all be vaccinated. Since it is a huge country with a big population, it is a big mess with the virus everywhere. I have had Covid already (during the 1st wave) and now we are having the 2nd wave here. In other states of our country, the 3rd wave is also devastating the people and nation. Maybe some or most of you have been watching in the news what is happening with our country.
Apart from this sad update, I have some good news too! The first thing is that God has been so faithful! He kept us so safe all of these days. Even in the future days, He is the One who will keep us safe. The second thing is: When I started my YouTube channel, I thought of teaching only in my own language. Some friends of mine from different countries were saddened because they cannot understand my language. So, they wrote me personally and that led me to try to teach in English. In these English language videos, I want to talk about basic things that people are confused about from or in the Bible–both doctrinally and theologically. Currently, I am working on that video to come out.
So, yes, we need your prayers and I need your prayers. I hope it is going to be all over with this virus in the next couple months. Thank you for keeping spreading love.

Growing in the Truth

Hope you all are well and thank you for all your prayers!

Last month was a month of fellowship and teaching. I taught 1st Corinthians to the students here. They had a lot of doubts and questions. The beauty is that the Word of God has filled their hearts with answers and solutions. I am so glad that every time I teach this book, in different places with different students, the people are understanding; what Christianity is, how the church should be organized, how spiritual gifts should be operated, and many more things that a Christian has in his or her life as they walk with the Lord Jesus. By the end of the book, they are able to recognize what is the ‘religion’ and what is the ‘way’ and what is godly and what is not godly within the church.

Dear Team,

I am so blessed that I was able to release two more Youtube videos recently on 1st Corinthians. I am receiving so much encouragement from many different countries personally and publicly. It is a great platform to teach verse by verse and to get to interact with people that you would have never otherwise been able to with the Word of God.

Some of the people called me on the phone, some messaged me, and some asked me to add English subtitles so that they can understand what I am teaching. Lord willing, I will try to implement some of their suggestions. It is a great joy to have several comments and suggestions from different parts of the world.

Even though Paul’s context is different than the context I am writing here, I have found great comfort through these verses. God took care of all of us during the most stressful times of history. When I read those last words of the verse ‘‘and you are Christ’s", I was able to stop and rest in His hands.

I had a great opportunity to visit pastor 6* and his Calvary Chapel church a few days ago. After several months of lock-down and severe spread of Covid, this was the first time I was able to teach in public.

My online teachings are going well. However, it is challenging to put everything in order and to release them online. I am so happy that a normal chat with the students became an incredible opportunity to teach verse by verse in my language. What I understand about 1st Corinthians has changed my whole perspective about church and being a Christian. I am praying and hoping that people who are watching the videos will learn many things about the Truth.

A New Beginning

My time in the North taught me many things. It was a good place to stay for a semester, a good experience to be alert in the ministry, and a super good new page in my life. It was the lock-down. We were all eating less food and thinking about the next days provisions. Everybody had these two questions in their minds: “How many days are we going to stay here?” and “How we will reach our homes back in the South?”
There were no classes going on, because we didn’t know when the local intelligence policemen would come and inspect us. (They don’t want to see anything happening in regards to Christianity.) Our only belief (about it) was “We are under lock-down, but the Word of God is not.”

The Lord Is My Rock

The lock-down has brought so many new things to all of us. I want to share with you how we survived and had a great fellowship even in the midst of tough circumstances.

Right after I reached the North, within 3 weeks, the lock-down was started. I had been asked to teach Inductive Bible Study prior to starting my actual teaching; Leviticus. The new students were so blessed to learn the Inductive Bible Study. It was great to have some people with my same language from the South in the college. We made good friends with people in the local community and prayed for their salvation.

He Gives Strength

It is a privilege and a great honor for me to see fruit in our students’ lives! It makes me feel even more responsible to invest into many more young people who love the Word of God. It makes me so joyful when I see the different ministries that they are doing during their semester break. Sometimes they even go to distant communities to spread the true Word of God. I was able to be in contact with the students through WhatsApp and phone calls. I could support them with prayer and talk with them about how things were going in their ministries. They shared with me the discouraging and encouraging things that they faced while they ministered.

The Fruit of God’s Word

Before we concluded the semester, we donated old wood to a ministry that serves mentally disabled people. (I mentioned that we visited the ministry in my last email). Students spent time talking with the disabled people there and served food.

Then we went to a local entertainment center for a fun day at the end of the semester.

It was really a huge blessing to be able to be a part of the conference which was held in the north. It reminded me of so many things regarding the ministry. The boost I experienced from the different Calvary Chapel pastors was so great! We all were encouraged to meet people from different states of the country serving in the ministry under the same umbrella.

Help in Times of Trouble

Ministering in the Mountains

I hope you all are doing great! I am so grateful to our Lord to have you all with me in this journey.

I had a great time meeting with a pastor and his family, who are working in the northern part of our country. I went to visit to see how the ministry is going there and how God is advancing His kingdom through their church. It was a great encouragement for me to meet a man of God who is working with a great passion and burden for people. I was able to meet with church believers there, and I encouraged them for few minutes and had worship time. It was all good!

Blossoming in the Lord

We had a great semester, and the students learned many difficult things that they had never heard explained before from the Word of God. I was so thankful to God when some students came to me with tears and explained how God is working in their lives as they are focusing on His Word and trying to understand what God has for them in their lives through His Word.

New Students Eager to Learn Truth

It is a joy to me to get back to you with so many interesting things that our Lord is doing here on the campus! I hope every one is doing great in the race that we have for Christ.

The month of March has been very productive for me and the students here, as I am continuing teaching from 1 and 2 Kings. I am so thankful that God is blessing me with great applications to use in the classroom- which are very useful to the students and to me at the same time. Last semester, I had six students in my class. This semester, the Lord brought fifteen more students from different states! I have had a great time teaching them a review all the way from Genesis to 1&2 Samuel. We reviewed right up to our current semester class, Kings. I taught them several classes on the flow of Biblical history, because they have never gone to Bible College before. It is wonderful to see how God gathers people from different provinces to meditate on His Word and to experience His Word and to understand it in a rightly divided way.

Ministering With All of Our Might

My apologies for not writing updates for the past few months. I have been hit with many things. I always want to let you know what God is doing here through us, but I have failed very often to do that because of the situations I have been going through.

Before I went to Bible College, I studied pharmacy to earn my bachelor’s degree. I studied well, but somehow I still had two exams I needed to take to complete the degree. In the month of December, they sent me a notification about these two exams, and I was able to pay my exam fee. Then, I prepared and waited for the exams. As the date drew closer to the exams, I was supposed to receive an entrance ticket, which would allow me to take the exams. They told me that I did not receive the entrance ticket because I am no longer a student of the college or under college management. As a result, I had to meet with many professors and officers to receive my entrance ticket from the university so that I could take the exams. (They had not initially told me that I needed to go through a different process to get the entrance ticket, since I am no longer an active student.) Finally, I received my entrance ticket only 1 hour before the exam, on January 23. I am telling you all of this because that was a season when I could not communicate with any of you because all I had was my old phone, that I cannot use for sending a newsletter. Thank you for being so kind!

Rewarding Work for the Lord

The months of September and October have been a great blessing in continuation of what we have prayerfully started! When I look at all the things that happened before and what is happening right now, it is just beautiful! It is very clear that it is the Lord’s will to bring all these people from different parts of the world together to serve Him.

Serving the Lord with Gladness

It is a great pleasure for me to begin writing you this letter about how God is working through us here. I hope everyone is doing excellent!

So many things have happened in the month of August. First, I had several discussions with my coworkers about the schedule that students should follow while they live on this campus, and then I gave the students their routine for the semester. Typically, their day begins at 6:00 am with morning devotion and ends by 9:30 pm after their study hall. I encouraged them with something I learned in my Bible college, “Before you see anyone’s face, seek Jesus’ face first, and start your day by spending time with God.”

Great Need of Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth

It is a great joy to me to convey what we are doing as a team here! During the semester break I got to visit my home and spent some quality time with my family. After spending a few days with my family, I thought there should be another reason that God sent me back to my home state again during that specific time, so I started to pray for opportunities to go and teach the Word. As the days passed by, I was attending Sunday church services in local areas and every week I went to church my heart was broken (literally, as I saw the superstition) to see the way they worship our God and to hear about all their prosperity teachings.

Joyful Times

Hello SGWM family!

We had a wonderful time at the Pastor’s Conference. It was a great opportunity for me to be involved in the worship team with these skillful men. At the end of the week, we were able to praise our God in five different languages.

Meeting the team from CCSG was the best time! While they were here, the way they expressed their love was remarkable. I was very blessed by their pastoral teachings the whole week, and it was a great reminder to me of how much responsibility I have to teach the Word in a rightly dividing way for the students here in the campus. At the end of week, I was given a few more responsibilities for campus development; I pray that God will give me wisdom to accomplish these things.

I am so very happy to write and share with you about what God has been doing in my life!

2 Timothy 2:2 says, “And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also”.

Being able to teach others at the new Calvary Chapel Bible College causes me to now look back at a few milestones in my life. I am so grateful to the leaders who invested in me at CCBC (undisclosed location) for two years and trained me to become a teacher (staff member) here at CCBC (undisclosed location). I love what I do here at the campus as it’s a great platform to be used by God. In addition to teaching, I am also able to translate classes to the students who speak the language of my home state. I am also getting to know their lives in order to encourage and disciple them with the truth of God’s Word.

Pastor 7* was raised in a Christian home. As a teenager, he turned away from his faith making bad decisions. But as a young man he gave his life fully to serve Jesus knowing that the world had nothing to offer him. He heard about Calvary Chapel Bible College in a nearby country from a friend and with a hunger to know God’s Word he was accepted and graduated from the two-year degree program.
