Praise be to God, who is always faithful. His mercies never fail! We give Him all the glory for the work He is doing in and through the ministry here in our country. It is only by His grace that we continue to see lives touched, hearts transformed, and the Gospel being shared in both word and deed.
We also want to take a moment to thank you—our dear friends, prayer partners, and supporters. Your prayers, encouragement, and sacrificial giving have played a vital role in advancing the mission here. Whether it’s through your intercession, financial support, or simply standing with us in spirit, please know that your partnership is making an eternal impact.

Our country is a land of great need but also great opportunity for the Kingdom of God. Amid brokenness, hardship, and spiritual hunger, we are seeing God move in powerful ways—restoring families, drawing hearts to Christ, and raising up new leaders for His glory.
I wanted to take a moment to share a wonderful testimony from a recent visit that truly reminded me of how powerfully the Lord is still working in hearts today.
Ministering to Catholic Families
This past week, I had the opportunity to visit a Catholic family and spend some time in fellowship with them. With openness and kindness, they welcomed me into their home. As we shared stories and conversations, I felt the Holy Spirit gently guiding our time together.
By God’s grace, I was able to clearly share the Gospel — the message of salvation through Jesus Christ alone, by grace through faith. They listened attentively and responded with such sincerity and interest. Their hearts were tender, and there was a genuine openness to the truth of God’s Word.
I’m thankful to say that they responded positively to the Gospel. While this is just the beginning of their journey, I believe God has planted seeds that will continue to grow and bear fruit in their lives. We are praying that the Spirit continues to draw them closer, gives them clarity, and surrounds them with truth and love as they seek to know Jesus more deeply.
Please continue to pray for this family — that the light of Christ would shine brightly in their hearts and home. Please also pray for boldness and compassion in all our conversations, trusting that the Lord prepares hearts long before we speak.
Home Visits
This month, I had the opportunity to visit several homes in our community. As I stepped into these spaces, I was met with the reality of many messy and broken lives. I spoke with families who are struggling deeply—some battling with sin, and others facing heartbreaking situations, including women suffering abuse at the hands of their husbands.
These visits were not easy, but they were necessary. In the midst of the pain, I saw hearts that are longing for hope and change. I was able to sit with them, listen, and most importantly, share the Gospel of Jesus Christ–the good news that He meets us in our brokenness, that His love redeems, and that there is true freedom and healing in Him.
Please continue to pray for these families. Pray that God’s light will shine in the dark places, that hearts will be softened, and that lasting transformation will take place. Pray also that we, as the Body of Christ, continue to go where it’s messy, where it’s hard, and bring the love and truth of Jesus with us.
Testimony of a Women Who Is Coming to Our Church
I want to share a powerful and deeply moving story that reflects both the pain some are silently enduring and the unshakable faith that God gives in the midst of suffering.
A woman who has been coming to our church for 6 years with her children is walking through an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking season. She is experiencing ongoing abuse and threats from her husband, who has told her not to come to church or bring their children. Despite this pressure and pain, she continues to come. She chooses to worship God with a sincere heart, even while facing opposition at home.
What has impacted me and my wife most is her unwavering faith. In the midst of all this, she is full of faith and continues to trust the Lord. She believes God is with her and is holding on to His promises, even when everything around her feels uncertain. We had the privilege of sitting with her, listening, and encouraging her through the Word of God. It was a humbling moment to witness someone so committed to Jesus despite such suffering.
Please pray for her and her children—that God will protect them, strengthen them, and bring peace and healing into their home. Let us also pray for her husband. Pray that his heart will be changed by the love and truth of Christ.
This sister’s story is a testimony of faith under fire. Pray also that we, as her church family, surround her with love, support, and constant prayer. May we be reminded to remain faithful, even when the road is hard—just as she has shown us.
Update and Prayer Request About Our Daughter
Recently, our daughter fell from a 2 foot wall and fractured her hand. It has been a difficult time for her, as she has been in a lot of pain. We took her to the doctor, and they placed a plaster cast on her arm to help it heal properly.
She has been very brave through it all, but as parents, it is never easy to see your child in pain. We’re trusting God for a full and quick recovery. We would truly appreciate your prayers for her—both for healing and for strength and comfort as she goes through this process.
Wedding Update
It’s been a wonderful season of celebration. I am grateful to share that I had the privilege of being part of two special weddings recently—both involving young leaders who are faithfully serving the Lord.
The first was the wedding of AV* and P*. AV*, a committed servant of God and a graduate of Calvary Bible Institute, has been actively involved in ministry. It was a joy to share a message at their wedding ceremony, pointing to the cross as the foundation of true love. I reminded them—and all who were present—that a strong marriage begins and thrives when built on the sacrificial, covenant love of Christ.
I also had the honor of preaching at the wedding of A* and G*. A*, who is also a Calvary Bible Institute graduate and faithful in ministry, entered into this new season with a heart ready to serve God together with his wife. I shared a message encouraging them to keep Christ at the center of their marriage and to reflect the Gospel through their daily lives together.
Both of these young men have dedicated their lives to the service of the Kingdom. It is a joy to see them stepping into marriage with women who are ready to walk alongside them in faith and ministry.
Please continue to lift up AV* & P* and A* & G* in your prayers. May their homes be full of God’s presence, wisdom, and love—and may their marriages be fruitful in the work of the Lord.
Sharing the Gospel to the Transgender
While traveling recently, we stopped for a short break to have some Chai. During that simple moment, God gave us a powerful opportunity. I met a transgender person. As we began to talk, the conversation turned toward faith. I shared the love and hope found in Jesus—the One who sees us completely and still chooses to love and redeem us.
As we spoke, I felt the Holy Spirit prompting me to ask if I could pray for him. He responded with a smile and said yes. After we prayed, he asked me to keep praying for him, which truly moved my heart. It was a reminder that no one is outside the reach of God’s love and that every soul is precious to Him.
Please join me in praying for him—that the seeds of the Gospel planted in that moment will grow, and that he will come to know the fullness of God’s grace and truth.
The Gospel is for all people, and God often works in the most ordinary places—even at a roadside Chai stop. Let us stay sensitive to His leading and faithful in sharing His love wherever we go. Let us never forget: the Gospel is for everyone. No one is beyond the reach of God’s grace.
Ministering in Other Churches in Our Neighboring State
I got the opportunity to minister in two churches in a neighboring state this past week. It was a great joy to teach from the Word of God and strengthen believers in their walk with Jesus.
In one of the churches, I shared from the life of the church in Thessalonica. We looked at how they endured great suffering yet remained strong in their faith. Even in the midst of trials, they held onto the hope of Christ and became an example to other believers. It was a powerful reminder that we are called to stand firm, no matter what we face—because our hope is not in circumstances, but in the Lord.
In the second church, I taught on the importance of growing in the Word of God. Just as healthy plants need deep roots, believers need to be rooted in Scripture to grow strong and bear fruit. I encouraged the church to remain in the Word daily, allowing it to shape their hearts, renew their minds, and guide their steps.

Please continue to pray for these churches—that they would endure faithfully like the Thessalonians, and grow deeply in their love and understanding of God’s Word.
Prayer Points:
Please pray that our family continues to grow in our walk with the Lord. Pray for deeper spiritual maturity, unity, and a stronger hunger for God’s presence and Word in our daily lives. Pray for the preparations for our next Bible college semester beginning in August. Ask the Lord to guide every detail—teaching, students, resources—and to use this semester to raise up strong, faithful disciples. We are praying for more committed and Spirit-led staff to join us in the Bible college. Pray that God will bring the right people to help with teaching, mentoring, and serving in this important work. Please pray for our brothers who are faithfully serving in different regions, sharing the Gospel and making disciples. Ask God to protect them, provide for them, and empower them through the Holy Spirit as they labor in the harvest field. May the Lord richly bless you—your family, your work, and your walk with Him. I pray He continues to use you as a channel of His grace, and that you also experience the joy of being part of His Kingdom work.
Thank you for standing with us. We are deeply grateful.
In Christ,
Pastor 6 and Family

“How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you”
1 Thessalonians 3:9

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor6/pastor6/2025/07/11/god-is-always-faithful/

Praise be to God, who is always faithful. What once was a dream has now become a reality—brick by brick, prayer by prayer.
This new facility is more than just a structure; it is a testimony to God’s provision, a place dedicated to equipping future generations for ministry, and a sanctuary for learning, worship, and spiritual growth. We thank every supporter, prayer partner, and worker who stood with us through this journey.
We extend our deepest gratitude to each of you who have stood with us in faith, prayer, and action as we pursue the call God has placed on our lives. Your encouragement, support, and unwavering belief in this mission have been instrumental in helping us move forward with clarity and confidence.
We are especially thankful for your generous contributions—both in time and resources—toward the construction of the Bible college building. What once was a vision has begun to take tangible shape, and it is all because of your partnership and obedience to God’s prompting.
We recognize that this blessing comes with great responsibility. God has entrusted us with this new facility, and we are committed to being faithful to the calling He has placed on us—to raise up disciples, to teach sound doctrine, and to build His Kingdom.
We humbly ask for your continued prayers as we begin the next phase of work. There is still much to be done in preparing the space, equipping classrooms, and creating an environment where students can grow spiritually and academically. Most importantly, we desire that everything we do in this place brings glory to God.
May the Lord bless you abundantly for your heart for His kingdom. Your efforts are not in vain, and the fruit of this work will impact many lives for generations to come.
To God be all the glory—great things He has done!
Calvary Chapel Conference in Our City
We are truly grateful for the incredible time we had during the conference. It was a powerful and spirit-filled gathering that left a lasting impact on our hearts and ministries. One of the greatest blessings was the opportunity for pastors and leaders to sit under the teaching and wisdom of senior pastors. Their guidance, rooted deeply in the Word of God and rich with years of experience, helped us grow both spiritually and practically.
We are blessed and deeply grateful for the incredible experience we shared at this year’s conference, The Making of the Man of God. From the moment we gathered, it was clear that God was moving in powerful ways—through the worship, the Word, the fellowship, and the Spirit-led teachings.
One of the most impactful lessons came from our study of Samson. Though he was a man marked by divine calling and supernatural strength, we saw how his journey was also marked by personal struggle, compromise, and redemption. It reminded us that becoming a man (or woman) of God is not about perfection—it’s about surrender, obedience, and allowing God to shape us through both our victories and our failures.
Truly, this conference was not just an event—it was a divine moment of growth, equipping, and renewal. We return to our churches and communities empowered to serve more faithfully, preach more boldly, and love more deeply.
Sharing the Gospel – Joseph’s Story and God’s Sovereignty
During my recent open-air Gospel outreach, I had the opportunity to share a powerful message from the life of Joseph. Standing before a crowd of people—many of whom do not yet know God personally—I spoke about how Joseph’s life is a testimony of God’s control, even in the midst of suffering and uncertainty.
Joseph was betrayed by his own brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, and thrown into prison. Yet, through every trial, God was working behind the scenes, positioning Joseph for a greater purpose. What others meant for evil, God used for good. Just like Joseph, we too may walk through dark and confusing seasons, but God is never absent—He is in control.
I encouraged the listeners to trust in the Lord, even when life doesn’t make sense. Whether they had never heard of Jesus or only knew of Him from a distance, I invited them to draw near and discover a personal relationship with a God who sees, knows, and cares deeply.
As it says in Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
This truth brought comfort and hope to many who listened, reminding them that no matter their past or present, God is at work for their good and His glory.
Witnessing God’s Work Through Brother C*
I recently had the incredible opportunity to visit another city and witness firsthand the powerful work God is doing through His servant, C*. It was a humbling and inspiring experience to see how faithfully Brother C* is serving the Lord in that place, with passion, perseverance, and a heart full of love for the people.
As I spent time there, I could clearly sense God’s presence moving among the people—hearts being touched, lives being changed, and hope being restored. It reminded me that God’s work is active and alive in every corner of the world, often in the most humble and overlooked places.
I came back encouraged, stirred in my own faith, and grateful for C*’s obedience. Let’s continue to pray for him and support the work in this city—because God is just getting started.
Palm Sunday Worship Service
Palm Sunday worship was truly a special time for our congregation this year. As the pastor, I couldn’t be more grateful for the spirit of joy and reverence that filled our church. From the moment we began, there was a sense of anticipation and excitement as we reflected on Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
All the church congregation waving palm branches added such a beautiful touch, and seeing our church family come together in praise and worship reminded me of the power of community. The procession with palm branches was especially moving, as it symbolized the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, a moment of great significance for Christians around the world.
As we waved our palms and sang hymns of praise, it felt like we were part of that ancient celebration, acknowledging Jesus as our King and Savior.
I want to take a moment to give thanks to God for each one of you. Your support, encouragement, and prayers mean more than words can express. Whether through giving, lifting us up in prayer, or simply standing with us in faith—you have been a vital part of the work God is doing.
Thank you for believing in the vision and for partnering with us in the mission. I pray that God is with you all, strengthening and encouraging you daily. May the Holy Spirit lead you, guide your steps, and fill you with wisdom and power as you continue to serve Him wherever you are.
May God bless you abundantly as we continue to walk forward together in His purpose.
Thank you,
Pastor 6* and Family
*Names and faces have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor6/pastor6/2025/06/09/to-god-be-all-the-glory-great-things-he-has-done/

Hello, Dear Family in Christ!

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are deeply grateful for your faithful partnership and generous support in reaching the unreached with the Gospel. We had an incredible opportunity to share the Gospel with people. It was so rewarding to see church believers stepping out of their comfort zones and going out to spread the Word. You know our vision. God’s purpose in our hearts, is to equip people to be passionate servants of Jesus Christ. We are so grateful to God and His Word for giving life to those who receive it.
We went out as a church to share the Gospel with people who were sick and deeply affected by diseases. There were people who were lost and had no hope of life or life after death. We spent time with them, singing songs, and sharing the Gospel. We could see genuine joy on their faces as we praised Jesus and shared the truth. We believe God has moved their hearts to see the truth. We prayed for them and had lunch together. Please continue to pray for them. Many people have died there due to infections and other illnesses .
Gospel Outreach
We embarked on a mission to the tribal community to share the Gospel with those who had never encountered Jesus Christ or the message of Salvation. We were astounded by the receptivity of the people to the Gospel, as it possesses the power to profoundly impact lives.
As we shared about John 6:44, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day,” we witnessed God’s grace opening their hearts to the truth. While we shared the Gospel with a young group, an unexpected surge of interest occurred. Several young individuals approached me, captivated by the message I was conveying.
At that moment, I felt compelled to boldly proclaim the Gospel. I sensed a powerful divine presence guiding my actions, and I shared the Gospel with them. They engaged in numerous inquiries, expressing a keen desire to learn more about God. We offered them several Bibles, which they eagerly accepted.
Our hearts were filled with joy as we witnessed the reception of the Word of God with such enthusiasm. Furthermore, they recognized the falsity of their previous practices and worship of idols, acknowledging their mute state.
Calvary Chapel Conference
We had a wonderful time at the conference in the city. We were delighted to see all our brothers and sisters who are serving in various parts of our country. We learned many valuable lessons from the teachings. The conference’s central theme was “The Development of the Man of God”. We are deeply grateful to those who taught at the conference to provide guidance and equip us for the divine call upon us.
Women’s Ministry (My Wife’s Update)
What an amazing God we serve! I would like to express my sincere gratitude to those who have been praying for and encouraging me as I lead women in our church. Thank you for your prayers and support.
As you are aware, women from different states and backgrounds who speak different languages come to our church. However,we have a common language. We hold weekly Bible studies on Wednesdays, focusing on the book of Philippians. God has been imparting wisdom to us through this book, emphasizing the importance of joy and patience. This letter has been particularly encouraging us to fix our eyes on God.
Many of our church members face significant challenges in following Jesus. Some of them are compelled to attend church secretly due to the fear of being beaten and evicted from their homes by their families if they are discovered.
Our vision is to foster growth in the Word of God and encourage believers as they journey in Christ. We are also actively praying to be able to visit the homes of those who have yet to hear the Gospel.
I am pleased to share about the recent women’s conference, which was a resounding success. Over 60 women attended the conference. We were honored to have Sister H* present, who shared the Word of God on the essential qualities of godly character that women should have. Her message deeply encouraged and blessed us.
Please continue to pray for the women’s ministry here at our Calvary Chapel.
Children’s Ministry
In our church, we hold weekly children’s ministry sessions. They provide an opportunity to educate and nurture young minds about the teachings of Jesus Christ and the profound stories from the Bible. Despite their diverse religious backgrounds, many of these children express a deep love for Jesus and engage in prayerful devotion to Him. Witnessing their reverence for God fills our hearts with immense joy and gratitude.
We are immensely thankful for the educational resources and engaging activities that facilitate the children’s spiritual growth and knowledge of God. Through these efforts, we have witnessed the children’s profound understanding of the Word of God and their deep connection to their Savior.
I would like to share the remarkable story of N*, who is now eight years old. We had the privilege of meeting her when she was only three or four years old. Tragically, she fell from a two-story building. She sustained severe injuries, including a fractured skull. During this challenging time, we fervently prayed for her recovery. After four long years, we are overjoyed to see her thriving. God’s remarkable healing touched her life. She is now ready to participate in our children’s ministry. It was a heartwarming experience to reunite with her after such a long time/ We express our profound gratitude to God for His unwavering love and care in her life.
Once again, thank you for your prayers and support, Please continue to pray for us.
Thank you,
Pastor 6* and Family
*Names and faces have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor6/pastor6/2025/05/07/boldly-proclaiming-the-gospel/

Hello Family in Christ!

We are so thankful for God’s grace in bringing us into this new year. God has been doing remarkable things. Initially, his efforts focused on Bible studies. Now he is hosting Sunday worship services. Three families join in the worship services.
On December 11th, the church organized an extraordinary Christmas outreach program. The attendance was impressive, and the program had a profound impact on the lives of attendees. Prior to the outreach, a group of local Hindu villagers expressed opposition. However, during that moment, we prayed fervently, and God used that opportunity to strengthen our faith. With God’s guidance and strength, we were able to successfully conduct the Christmas outreach. Over 250 people were reached with the Gospel message.
We are delighted to report that many young adults and adults who attended the program experienced life-changing transformations. The Christmas outreach served as a powerful reminder of the transformative power of God’s Word. Two ladies responded positively to the Gospel and expressed positive thoughts about God.
We kindly request your continued prayers for Pastor C*.
utreach Location #2
P*, a missionary from our church in the city, is currently working in one of the most challenging regions in the south. This area is heavily influenced by idol worship. People from all over the world visit there to offer gold and their hair. It is disheartening to witness the lack of recognition of the true God and the prevalence of idol worship. Every street and corner is filled with temples. People are possessed by demonic spirits. Carrying the Bible in this region poses significant risks. Anyone caught discussing Jesus or sharing the Gospel can face severe punishment, including imprisonment.
During the Christmas season, we prayed to God to open doors for a Christmas outreach in this region. On December 17th, we commenced our outreach efforts. As we were preparing for the event, many individuals approached us, expressing their desire to hear about Jesus. Unfortunately, people also threatened to beat us, used abusive language, and attempted to prevent us from preaching the Gospel.
Despite these challenges, we remained steadfast in our faith. We prayed to God for His guidance. After some time, the individuals who were against us dispersed, and God opened doors for us to share the Gospel. Even in these difficult circumstances, God provided us with opportunities to reach people who were initially hesitant to approach us but were drawn to the Gospel message from the outside of their homes.
We firmly believe that God will work in the midst of these people and bear fruit from our efforts. For safety reasons, we have decided not to share the name of the village where we are currently serving. Brother P* is also serving in two other villages. We kindly request your prayers for these endeavors.
Outreach Location #3
Pastor A*, a Bible Institute graduate, returned to his village after completing his studies. He began teaching the Bible verse-by-verse and book by book. He is witnessing remarkable growth among the believers in response to the Word of God.
As John 3:16 states, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
During the Christmas outreach in M*, we had the privilege of witnessing the profound impact of Pastor A*’s unwavering dedication to serving the Lord. Individuals engaged in wholehearted worship and embraced the message of Jesus Christ. The Gospel was not confined to the churches but also extended to outdoor settings. It reached a broad audience and inspired countless individuals to surrender their lives to the Lord. We extend our prayers for the village.
Outreach Location #4
Pastor Ah* is serving in a neighboring state. He is diligently working among the impoverished villages. He faithfully teaches the Word of God and serves the community. We recently had the opportunity to conduct a Gospel outreach to reach the villagers. We fervently hope that the Word of God will bear fruit.
Outreach Location #5
The Christmas outreach at the home for the elderly was a great joy. It was heartwarming to see the church actively caring for widows and orphans, as the Bible instructs, “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction.” A* and his wife led the church team in providing love and care to the residents. We extend our prayers for their well-being.
Outreach During Christmas at Calvary Chapel in our Local City
What an incredible God we serve! We genuinely praise God for the transformative work He is doing within our church. Despite the challenges the people face in their lives, they remain steadfast in their faith and overcome these obstacles. Every year, we witness a remarkable growth in both the number and spiritual depth of our congregation. This Christmas, new people joined our church, and we had the privilege of sharing the Gospel with them. A few of the individuals responded positively, embracing Jesus as their Savior! We continue to extend our prayers for the church.
Prayer Requests:
As we are celebrating the New Year, we are praying for the year ahead in our ministry plans. I am thankful to God for His provision.
Home Prayer Meetings
We had a great time with the families of our church in their homes. The reason we have home prayer meetings is so that we can invite the host’s family and friends so that they can hear the Gospel. All of the families come together, have fellowship and we end with dinner.
Church Planter’s Meeting:
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!”
Psalm 133:1
We really had a great time meeting with the other pastors and leaders. We all shared our ministry reports and about the challenges that we are facing in the mission field. Then we prayed for each other. I am really blessed to see our brothers growing in the Word of God and ministering to people in the places where they are serving. Every time we meet we remember the great commission and the purpose of our calling.
Baptism Service
“In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
Luke 15:10
It’s amazing to see people coming to Christ and surrendering to Him. Christian baptism is one of two ordinances that Jesus instituted for the church. Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:19–20). These instructions specify the church’s responsibility to make and teach disciples, and to welcome and baptize those disciples.
The woman who was baptized was in the hardest time of her life before she received Christ into her life. She was going through a lot in her life and with her family. She lost her husband and also her daughter. In that time of trouble she met Jesus and He comforted her. She gave her life to Jesus and surrendered it to Him. Please pray for her to continue to walk with God.
Bible Study in a New Church Plant
There has been great progress in N* village. I recently shared in my past newsletters that this village is in the most persecuted and anti-Christian area. They do not allow Christians into the village. All of the villagers are unbelievers. God has opened the door for us to share the Gospel. He also led us to start a Bible study in a home. Right now we are meeting in a home church every Sunday. Six people regularly attend. The other villagers do not know that we are meeting every Sunday for Bible study. I do not know what will happen if the find out. We pray that God will work in the hearts of the people so that they will come to Him and know Him. God has led us to this place because there is a great need. We are happy and praising God that we have been able to meet every Sunday and meditate on His Word. Continue to pray for this village.
Please also continue to pray for us. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved
(Acts 2:47)
What a wonderful God we serve! It is amazing to see people coming to Christ and surrendering to Him. Christian baptism is one of two ordinances that Jesus instituted for the church. Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age”(Matthew 28:19–20). These instructions specify the church’s responsibility to teach and make disciples, and to welcome and baptize those disciples.
Both of the new believers are from a Catholic background and were very much into idol worship. God opened the opportunity to preach the Gospel to them and to disciple them. Before one of them was saved, he was very addicted to alcohol and was also having difficult family problems. But now, having a relationship with Jesus changed everything. God really worked in his life. Now his whole family comes to church and attends Bible study.
M* Village (Church plant)
It has been 8 months since our dear brother C* began serving in M* village. God is doing amazing work through him. He started tutoring children and teenagers (from the ages of 5-16 years), showing them the love of God and sharing Gospel with them. It really opened doors to reach out to those villagers.
In my last newsletter, I briefly explained how God opened doors to minister in that village. I also shared about conducting a Christmas outreach program there which helped reach more people with the Gospel. In that village the teenagers and young adults are addicted to alcohol and drugs. Please pray about that. We have now started a Bible study every Sunday in a home in the village (a house church fellowship). Three families are attending the Bible study.
I want to share a praise report about the ministry in M*. There was an elderly man who always used to disturb us during our Sunday Bible study. He would threaten us and using abusive words. So we all prayed together for the elderly man to come to Christ. All of a sudden he became sick. He suffered so much with his health problems. So the man invited us to his house and to pray for him. We then got to share with him about the love of God and preached the Gospel to him. We praise God that He made a way to reach this man. Please continue to pray for him and for the his salvation.
Nameless Village:
Reaching Out to the Unreached
For 30 years people have been living in this village, but they have not named it. They call themselves the stone cutters. Their work is to cut stones from big rocks. They then supply stones for building construction. God has led one of our team members to that place to preach the Gospel. Almost 30 families live there. When we visited the second time, we had many conversations about their lives. This village is in the forest. Snakes and scorpions come inside their houses, and there is no water source available.
God put this village in our hearts to reach out to and share the Gospel in. Nobody knows Jesus in this village. Please pray for us as we minister in this village.
N* Village (Church Plant)
We are ministering in a village named N* (which is very Anti-Christian). The elders and villagers wanted there village to remain fully Hindu. There is some religious persecution going on, but the Lord is doing amazing work in that village. We started a house fellowship and two families are attending there. The Lord has also opened doors for us to meet five more families. We can see that He is working in their hearts. Now three people are ready to be baptized. They are trained in the Word and are now getting ready to go out to the places where God has called them. Three students graduated from our Calvary Bible Institute. All three of them decided to do internships with our church planters in different locations, which will also help them learn.
Village Christmas Outreach
What an amazing God we serve! God has been very gracious to use us to share the Gospel in this village. Because the village is very anti-Christian, this was the first time a Christmas outreach was held there. Villagers there once burned a Pastor who came to share the Gospel. After that many others came to reach out to this village, but the villagers beat them up. They did not allow anyone who is a Christian into the village. Even when we went to the village to share the Gospel, the villagers chased us trying to catch us, but we escaped.
Amazingly, God has opened the door for us to minister to the people in the village by showing God’s love and visiting the sick people in the hospital that belongs to the village. This December we had a Christmas outreach. More than 50 people showed up! We got to share the Gospel with them. We had a fellowship dinner together. They really felt loved. They saw the love of God through our deeds. Many responded to the Gospel. They came to us asked us to pray for them. We had already started a Bible study and now we started a Sunday worship service. Right now, 4 families are joining us on Sundays. Praise God for His amazing work! We thank you for your prayers and support.
Christmas Outreach in Another Village
In this village also, it is the first time the people heard about Chistmas. Many of them do not know about Jesus and what Christmas is all about. We prayed about having a Christmas outreach to share the Gospel there. God opened doors for us to conduct an outreach. The village elders also gave us permission to have an open-air Christmas celebration. We held this outreach program on government property. Almost the whole village came to the program! We did not expect this would turn into a big program. More than 200 people showed up! We got the opportunity to share the Gospel with them. We also performed skits about the Christ’s birth. As I already mentioned, many of them did not know about Jesus. Now the whole village heard the Gospel! Some of them opposed us while we were sharing the Gospel and used many abusive words. But God gave us the strength to stand and share the Gospel and also share love. In the end, everybody calmed down. The villagers responded very positively and accepted Christ. Our dear brother, a graduate of Calvary Bible Institute, is serving in that village. 5 people are attending Bible study. We praise God for His protection and provision. After our Christmas outreach, we had a fellowship dinner.
Christmas Outreach In Our City
We also did a Christmas outreach in an old age home. Many of the people there are unbelievers and have no hope. They all were rejected by their families. Some of them lost their families. As a church, we stepped out to reach out to those people to share hope in Christ. We got to share the Gospel and also sang Christmas carols and laughed with them. It was really a joyful time for the people to rejoice in Christ and forget about all their burdens. They felt very happy. I was really happy to see our church people showing love to them and caring for them. It is really a great picture of Christ’s love.
The people of our church are getting fed with the Word of God and they are stepping out to reach the lost and hopeless. We all had a fellowship dinner with them and prayed for all of the people individually. Every Sunday evening we have an old-age home care and Bible study as one of our church programs. On the day of Christmas, we had an amazing worship service celebrating the birth of Christ. We invited many during the outreach.
Once again I thank you all for your prayers and support to do these outreaches in places where the people have never heard of Jesus. We are very thankful to God for you. Please continuously pray for us to reach unreached places and share God’s love to His people. There are many places we still need to reach. We need workers. There are now new church plants in different locations. God is doing amazing things in our personal life and also in the ministry field.
Camp for Children and Young Adults
We had great time ministering to young men and children at the camp. We all know that we are living in an evil world and are surrounded with sin. Many young men are addicted to drugs, pornography and all kinds of bad things. They are attached to this world. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ. Only the Gospel of Christ has power to break that blindness and allow us to see the true light.
The Calvary Bible Institute students also got the opportunity to serve at the camp for children, teens and young adults. 500 people came! Many gave their lives to Jesus and surrendered their lives to Him. It is a great joy to see young men coming to Jesus. We got to share the Gospel and encourage them with the Word of God. Keep praying for these young men and children.
Food Distribution
Many different places in the Word of God speak about sharing your food with the hungry. When we do, the Bible clearly says that we do it unto the Lord.
So as a church, we stepped out with young men believers from our new church plant to serve God. We gave food to the people on the streets and shared the Gospel with them and then prayed for them. It is really amazing to see how God cares for each person on the streets. We are not the only people who do food distribution. There are many groups that help the hungry people who live on the streets. I praise God that at times He uses even unbelievers to feed homeless people. What a graceful God we serve.
Calvary Bible Institute Outreach
We had a great time during this semester’s outreach. It is a holiday season in our state when relatives get together to celebrate festivals in their home villages and tribal areas. We prayed and moved forward to have a couple of young adult meetings in 3 different locations in our state during this season.
We went to each village and had prayer walks there. We invited the young men who we met while we were walking to the young adult meeting in their area. It was a good time to reach young men and also to share about the Bible college. It was also a great opportunity for the students to share their testimony and the Word of God.
Women’s Conference
(My Wife’s Women’s Ministry Update)
Hello! Greetings to everyone. By God’s grace, He gave me the opportunity to share with you about the women’s conference which we are conducting every-other month. God is blessing us more and more by guiding us how to lead and conduct women’s ministry. This time we were really blessed to hear from sister J* at the conference. All of the women were blessed to hear her testimony and from the Word of God. All of the women attending the women’s conference are inviting their family and friends.
I am so grateful to each one of you for your love, prayers, and support for our women’s ministry. Through this fellowship, we are growing in the Word. The women are having so many changes in their lives and families. Through their prayers, their husbands are changing and coming toward Christ. We have some activities to encourage them to grow more in learning and reading the Word of God like Bible quizzes, and memory verses. We are able to share with each-other and pray for each other. We are looking forward to more growth in the women’s spiritual lives. Please continue to pray for all of the women. Most of them are single mothers.
Weekly Bible Study on the Pastoral Epistles
Every Wednesday we have Bible study on the pastoral epistles. Right now, I am teaching from 1 Timothy. This Bible study is only for the men who were sent out to plant churches and the staff who are serving at the Calvary Chapel here in the city. We gather together to glorify God through fellowship with one another, to study God’s Word, and also to pray for each other. In Hebrews 10 we are told to consider how to stir up one another to love and good works and to not neglect to meet together. It is really helping us to understand more about serving God. We are very thankful to God for His Word.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Pray for my family to have good health. Pray for our students. They are now in their villages reaching the unreached with the Gospel. Daily it has been our constant prayer to love one another, care for another, encourage one another and, if God wills, die for a greater cause in serving the brethren. Below are a few testimonies of how God has graciously allowed us to visit our brothers at various mission fields to join together in their new journey, joy, suffering and tribulation. Brace yourself to see what it is like to travel with us for about 2,000 kms around in two states.
1st Stop - Two Villages that are Strongly Anti-Christian
These two strongly anti-Christian villages have attacked many who have come there. One time they even plotted to catch and attack us and almost beat us! Both villages warned us not to come and talk about Jesus. In the past, they burned a pastor alive when he came to preach the Gospel! SINCE THEN NO CHRISTIAN HAS DARED TO GO THERE AND TALK ABOUT JESUS AGAIN. They also burn Bibles. So it has remained unreached since then. I have already told in a couple of my letters how God led me to that village to begin His work there. No government, no religious authorities, no skeptics, no scientists, no philosophers, or no book burners have ever been able to stop the work of the Word of God.
Praise God, we have now started a Bible Study in that village, and 4 people are attending! They come very secretly, while hiding their Bibles. I even have to hide my Bible from anyone seeing it when I go there. Please pray that everyone in these two villages comes to know Jesus. Yes, they rejected Him, but one day He will be the Cornerstone.
In my last newsletter, I shared about a woman named K* who is 23 years old. Her husband has caused her a lot of suffering. Because he would not allow her to have the food she needed during her pregnancy, she became so malnourished and full of infection that she had to be hospitalized. After she conceived, because her husband would not allow her to eat what she needed, she actually became so hungry that she ate sand. She was readmitted to the hospital. The doctor said her life was in danger because her womb was so infected. Our church tried to help her all through this difficult time while praying for her and strengthening her with the Word of God. God amazingly healed her form from all of the infection just as He promised in His Word! Now she has been blessed with a beautiful baby girl! She has come to believe in Jesus and has accepted Him as her personal Savior! She asked to have her baby dedicated during our church service. I am so blessed to see how happy her family is now. We are even having our Bible study in her home each week in this village!
2nd Stop—An Ancient City
This Ancient City is recognized as one of the best heritage cities of our country. It is 150 km away from the state capital. It is also the second largest city in the state. It took nearly 4 hours for us to get there. This is where one of our dear brothers— Pastor 7 labours and serves in the region. He received us with utmost love and affection, the love of Christ was reigning our hearts. This mission field is scores of villages where the Gospel of Christ has never been preached. All these villages are heavily involved in witchcraft, black magic and sorcery. Our hearts leaped out for joy upon hearing the great things the Lord has been doing through this humble servant.
We then were introduced to a sister in Christ who gave her life for the service of the Gospel. Though she’s in her 40’s, she never ceases to take every single opportunity to share the Gospel with anyone and everyone. She has been accused, questioned and mistreated for being a witness of Christ by fanatical groups. Nothing stops her from spreading the Good News of our Lord. Even though she is older than most people who attend college, she is even ready to join our institute to study God’s Word. God-willing she will join us next semester in unpacking the treasures of the Word. We then bid them farewell until next time. It was a time of great importance for all of us because we were reminded that we are not alone in this great task the Lord has given us. He is there but we need each other too.
3rd Stop- An Unreached Village Area Where Our Friend was Sent to Minister
Seventy-five percent of the people in this district are tribal. Thus the majority of city people will communicate in a tribal language. This language has no script and is sustained on spoken words. This is literally a no-man’s land. Traveling to the area, it was so distressing to not see even one Christian community. All these communities, villages, and people are untouched by the Gospel and have no witness to the power of grace. It is to this unreached people group that our brother C* has been called. Brother C* is a man of faith, prayer and servitude. We were more than happy to come alongside him in word and deed.
We then visited a school where children are being taught English and mathematics everyday. It was a joy to see the kids grow— providing schooling is one of the doors of outreach to the villages. The village of K* needs to be under strong consideration. There’s a temple. There is also a stone they worship. Every year a feast is celebrated by offering goats and sheep in front of this stone. The blood is spilled throughout the village land. Sometimes even human children are sacrificed without people knowing about it. May Lord help in each and every possible way to expand the mission in and around these villages.
4th Stop: Serving in the Village with Brother A*
Another sudden blow hit one of our dear brothers, A*. A few weeks ago, brother A*, was on his way to a nearby railway station to drop off his brother-in-law. When they were about to do a J-turn, an out of control bus (that had been hit by a car), came from the other road and hit this bike. Immediately, they all were thrown through the air and fell next to the road.
Brother A*’s leg was heavily injured and broken. Without any delay, he was taken to a nearby hospital and doctors conducted a medical evaluation of his leg. He was then taken to the surgery department. His leg was fractured and he was told not to walk for another two months.
All throughout this period, God was protecting A*’s life. We were so glad to see and encourage our brother who has been affected with a sudden accident. While visited with A*, his father gave a testimony of God’s goodness over A*’s life. Brother A* had not smiled for a long time, until we came to see him. We do not always know how God works and even sometimes miraculously functions His will. Nonetheless, all things work together for good for those who love Him. A lesson can be learned from the words of Jesus Christ, that He’s the greatest friend who has laid down his own life for his friends.
5th Stop - Sent Out to Serve God in the Village
Brother AV* is serving in our neighboring state, where God has called him. It was a great joy to see him working hard and teaching people the Word of God. I was able to see his ministry and got an opportunity to teach in his church. He is serving in a village where there are a lot of idol worshipers and black magic. Please pray for him and for the ministry.
Women’s Ministry and Conference: My Wife’s Update
Hello dear family! I thank God for His grace and mercy over all of us. I am really thankful to God for His amazing grace in moving forward with women’s ministry. Thank you for your prayers and support! It is such a great joy to serve the women in and outside the church! I am learning and teaching the Word of God to them. Please be in prayer for me to be more equipped to teach women by learning and obeying God’s Word increasingly. Also, please pray for the special needs of many of the women who are single parents.
God put it in my heart to teach and have fellowship with them every other month. Through this they can learn, grow and be strengthened to endure the suffering they endure in their daily lives. Most of the sisters that are married have husbands who beat and harass them. They are domestically abused for choosing Christ and attending fellowship. Even though the cost is high, the Lord is strengthening them to take a stand for the truth; and to lead their families to saving faith.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Please pray for my family and I to grow more in the Word of God, and that we will be in good health. Pray for the Bible college students and the staff. Pray for K* and her baby Pray for our upcoming outreach in the month of December Pray for our students who are going to be graduating this semester to obey God’s calling on their lives. Pray for a good means of transportation for Brother C* and Brother A, since travel is very difficult as there are no transportation facilities. Pray for our brothers who are sent out to serve in the different areas where God has called them. Pray for Sister R* and Sister A*s’ families. Pray that we find a new place to move our campus as our landlord told us to vacate this place. Pray for the construction of our ministerial building. It clearly is because, the authority rests on God to help us make the move in going everywhere He leads. All authority is His alone. It is on His authority we trust Him in everyplace He sends us.
So much so, that this commandment has reverberated in our souls that we waited upon the Lord and sought His heart to lead us wherever He wills after finishing the school semester. After much waiting, the Lord in His grace, has opened doors to J*, one of the main cities in a state which has been hostile to the Gospel. As soon as the meetings had been scheduled, all the staff, along with the students sat in prayer, intercession, and pleading with God to save souls in the areas in and around J*. The Lord, in His provision, has provided for the needs of each and every one. It was decided in the counsel of the Lord, that all of us must be divided into two teams. One team was sent via train to travel for 20 hours; alternatively, another team was sent via car to travel for 15 hours. Thanks be to God, that both of our teams have reached their areas safely. Brethren, there was a warm welcome upon reaching our destination, which is worth sharing with you all. As the team, who came via train, reached J* railway station, we saw a group of welcomers waiting for our team to arrive with a bouquet and with lots of love! This left all of our team in great surprise (even the passengers, too), because this was something unplanned and unexpected. Assuredly, the love of Christ reigned all our hearts.
Set-Apart Youth Meeting at J*
A church is located in the deep forests of J*. This also happens to be the church of one our students. All of our team members were in preparation with prayer and intercession and the day had finally come to start the meetings. The very first day, there was a turnout of 50 young adults, coming from nearby neighborhoods and villages. A choir from the church led us all in praise and worship which was a blessing. Then one of our brothers, P K*, was asked to share his testimony with the young adults. He alluded to the fact that not only should young adults have a testimony but should share it with the world. To do that, it should be our focus daily to be set-apart from the world and preach the Word to this dying world. Truly, truly all of the young adults were blessed to hear the importance of a Word-driven life of a Christian. It was then time for preaching and teaching. The sermon was given by Brother A* about the difference between a true worshipper and a false worshipper taken from the example of Mary and Judas in Mark 14. The message was thought-provoking and helped the young adults to examine what kind of worshipers they are. We pray, that the Word which was planted may bring a harvest in due season. We wrapped up the 1st day with a luncheon as a family in Christ.
There was much expectation and excitement among the youth, about what they would witness in the final day of youth meeting. God didn’t let them down. He used us individually and collectively as a team in all the activities involved and games played. Activities were divided as such: that they would seek, search, find, and know the Word of God. I shared the Word of God about not following the pattern of this world, but instead being transformed by the Word of God. It was another pressing message, for the youth, to be set-apart for God and His will. At the end, we had a thought-provoking questionnaire session with young adults. Many questions were asked regarding faith, baptism, sin, Christianity, and many more. We were so blessed to have such a great opportunity to answer, counsel, and mentor the young adults. We pray, that all these young people may grow more in grace and the knowledge of Christ.
Pastors’ Meeting
The area where we are in the south, is entirely different from J* when compared to the geographical, demographical, and cultural aspects. Since we began praying for guidance about whether or not to go to J*, we all had in mind the pros and cons of doing ministry in a state hit by persecution. We always prayed for the persecuted disciples in that location, but never got to witness the reality of it until we went, and gathered to see and hear the cost of being a witness for Christ there. Local pastors, along with our staff and students had a fruitful time of fellowship. I shared the word from 2 Tim. 1. The word was timely which was titled “ not ashamed of the Gospel-in times of suffering”. It was so encouraging that the Word of God edified the body of Christ. Then, pastors got to share their personal experiences working in the field. Some of the stories are heartbreaking and disturbing to go through. All of our students who sat there, were very moved in their hearts upon hearing the testimonies of the co-workers. We thank the Lord, that He gave us the opportunity to come along with fellow brothers in Christ and we pray and hope that the fellowship may be a soothing aroma to Christ, the author and finisher of our faith.
Ranital Youth Meetings :
We wrapped up our schedule in J* by conducting Youth meetings in R*. R* is a vast neighbourhood in the heart of the city of J*. It’s a predominantly T* speaking neighbourhood, where many T* moved to J* for livelihood reasons long ago. We believe that meeting with young people from this community is an open door from God, himself. All the 3 days that we ministered there, we felt as if we were our “home away from home”. Praise and worship was done in our home language T*! The Word was preached in T* and testimonies were given in T*! Truly, truly, it is beautiful to see, the brothers in Christ come in love and worship the Lord. The main theme for these meetings was to set a call upon the young people, to be set-apart from this world and turn back to God. Brothers from R*, want our team to visit them again. May the Lord help us in wisdom and love, in ministering to our brothers in this community.
My Wife’s Update
I’m so thankful to God that He’s opened doors for me to minister in the women’s conference and children camp.
Women’s Conference
By the grace of God it was a blessing to see 60 ladies join in the women’s conference. God led me to conduct this conference in a new way to share and lead. We had worship, action dances, games and sermons. Since there were many young women present, I preached about the characteristics of Godly women, daughters, and mothers. God strengthened me, so that I could preach with confidence before many women.
They very much liked the sermons which I preached using illustrations through action songs about Ruth, Hanna, and Sarah from the Bible. May the seed which was sown work in their hearts. Upon finishing the conference, I was told by many of the women, that it is a new and blessed experience to learn through action songs along with the Word of God. I am really grateful to God that He gave me courage to share the Word of God. It has been such a blessed time to have been able to get connected with many families and make new friends as well.
Children’s camp
I would like to take this opportunity to share about children’s camp. More than 50 kids joined who came from nearby villages from J*. We taught them many Bible stories, games, and action dances. Similarly we made them play a treasure hunt. It was very interesting and fun. We gave them gifts to encourage and bless them. We also provided snacks and lunch for the kids. They enjoyed being in the presence of God. We are so blessed to see them grow. God has a great purpose in each and everyone’s life. He works through us in different ways and in different places to bring glory to His name. I never knew I could do all this, but God is amazing. He chose Moses and David and He chose me to do both the women’s conference and children’s camp.
We are really thankful to God for his provision and his protection over us.
T* Village Ministry Update
We are very thankful that you are praying for us and the ministry that we are doing here. I am very happy to share what’s happening in the village. Before we shared about a women named K*. I shared in my last news letter that she is in the dangerous situation. She’s pregnant and is having a lot of health problems. In the beginning of her pregnancy, the doctor told that she will die because she ate sand and stones. Her health condition became very serious. She told me that she prayed to God for the first time for the help. God amazingly healed her and brought her out of the hospital. GOOD NEWS! God has blessed her with beautiful baby girl. Its a great joy. In the midst of a lot of struggles, finally God has filled her life with joy and blessed her. Thank you all for praying.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Pray for N*. We have wrapped up our semester classes as of 16th of May. In addition to that, our CBI is filled with thanksgiving toward our God, for helping us through the process of registering our own property for a campus building in the city. Praise God, that He has been with us in all the documentation process. We pray that He who has begun a work within us, will bring it to completion.
The students are very grateful and thankful to God that He is teaching them a lot of things from the Word of God! It really makes us happy when we hear from them that the Word of God is working in their lives; that they understand it’s truths; and that it sets them free from sin. They focus on sound doctrine and hold to sound teaching. Whenever I talk to the students, they share what God has been saying to them and how He is touching their hearts to reach out the lost! They are praying for Him to reveal the place where they need to go to preach the Gospel after they finish the whole academic training. God has placed a burden in our hearts to reach the states that speak this language and beyond and to raise up the next generation of pastors and leaders.
Interns Are Being Sent
God’s vision is our vision. It is His heart, to make disciples. When the opportune time comes, God, the Holy Spirit, commissions the disciples and sends them wherever the workers are needed. Two graduates, namely Brother A*and Brother C*, have been sent out for the harvest.
Brother A*, has been faithfully serving with his home church (his father pastors a few churches) in P* district. He’s been praying to reach out to nearby villages, towns, districts by organizing youth meetings and pastors’ conferences in the coming season. His heart is to see the Word spread, whatever the cost. We are rejoicing to see what God has planned for many of these young churches!
Brother C* has been fasting and seeking the Lord’s direction. The Lord has clearly spoken to his heart that he must go, where the name of the Lord is unknown. A week ago, we at our Calvary Chapel, prayed over Brother C* and sent him. He’s now working in the field to make more connections for the church plant in the H* region. We are praising God, that He has been stirring up the minds of the disciples to start a new work in unreached locations!
The Students’ Local Outreach
As a part of our curriculum, we have been helping our students to get involved in outdoor evangelism. In that process, most of our students have been able to share the Word of God in public spaces more freely. We have been ministering, in parks (above), busy markets, shopping malls etc. They’re all going to practically apply whatever they have heard and put the Word in action.
Chapel Talks at Calvary Bible Institute
Chapel talks play a vital role in a student’s lives to enrich and enhance their preaching and teaching skills. Every day during the semester, we take time for chapel talk. We give a portion of Bible verses from a book of the Bible. They prepare all week and then get the opportunity to teach that Word of God for 30 minutes during the evenings. We train them to teach the Bible, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse. We are seeing the growth of our brothers in rightly dividing the Word of truth. In an age of nonsensical preaching, we help our brothers to carefully handle the Word of God, and to correctly communicate with the people of God. All of our brothers have been doing a great job in inculcating their commitment to preaching and teaching of God’s Word!
Youth Meeting in G*
God’s plan for each and every one is mighty and powerful. When we see it unfold, it looks like a great piece of work to save one soul, which will then spread to save many. Last year when Brother A* came to the school of worship for the first time, he had little interest in learning the Word. But after a year, the Spirit of God eventually moved his heart to come to the Bible Institute. We were very glad to see him back. Since then, he started to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. He then suggested to his dad, who is a pastor, to conduct young adult meetings. We ministered in that village; one day for young adult meetings, and then a couple of days for open-air meetings. There are already many false teachings that have been affecting churches, in and around this village. They were very interested to learn more of the Word. We are going to plan many village meetings, youth conferences, and pastors meetings to educate, empower and build the body of Christ.
Open Air Gospel Meeting
I Praise God for using us to share the Word of God in different churches in our states. Recently, we got invited by a pastor from a village, to come and teach the Word in the outdoor meetings that he’s conducting. A year ago I preached in the same place and people were encouraged by the Word of God. Again this year we got invited to share at the meetings.
This village is heavily affected by false doctrine and a lot of superstition. Even inside the church, very lawless things are happening. The challenging thing here in our country is to bring them out of fear of shame. You know that in our area we have a culture of shame. People trust Jesus and give their life to God, but they do not stop doing the wrong (Hindu things) they have been doing. For example, they have the fear of superstitious things, the fear of black magic, and the fear of curses. They have more fear of the Hindu culture, than of God. It is like they do not want to pay the cost to live for God. So even in many churches, even pastors do not say NO to those kinds of things. They are too afraid that the people will quit coming to church if they confront them. When I was in that village, I got to encourage that pastor to take up the Word of God and rebuke those things. Because this church belongs to God, not to us. He paid the price for the sinners. I shared with the pastor in the village, that we are not called to please people, but God.
On the day I was preaching in the meeting, I addressed these issues about backsliding and falling back into the false religious things. On that day, God revealed that there are many people who are still in this situation. We need to work hard to reach them, and show them the love of God, and to rightly teach the Word! For many people do not know that we have a spiritual life that we are to grow more in and come closer to God. It is really heartbreaking to see people who are in the bondage of superstition and don’t even realize it! People need to know that Jesus has come not only to cleanse the sinners and save them, but also to break their chains of bondage to sin. So on that day God spoke to all the people about needing this transformation. Romans 12:2.
There is more work here in our country! We need many faithful servants of God who are devoted to teach the right doctrine and show the love of God. I think that is why God has placed a burden in our hearts to equip and train young men to send out to reach those people for God so they don’t perish! I want you all to pray that God could use us more to raise up men to do the work.
T* Village Ministry
I hope you are praying for this village, because we are seeing the fruit every week when we visit them. We now have four families that are attending both the Bible study on Fridays and the Sunday worship service every week! There are also many challenges that we are facing. God has been faithfully leading us in those times of struggle.
Recently, we went door to door in that village preaching the Gospel. A lady asked us why we are coming to the village every week and sharing about someone. They rejected us and said, “We have our own gods. We are not in the need of any other!” The Christians who are in that village are living in fear. But the Bible study is giving strength to live the life of God during difficult times.
People are really showing hatred towards the pastor and Christians because of what’s happening (because false teachers and pastors are focusing only on money, rather than a burden to preach the Gospel)
There is a man from a Muslim family. Every week we have been meeting with him to tell him the Gospel. His family opposes him coming to Jesus. He is living in fear of coming to Christ because he is afraid of his family rejecting him and what they might do to him. Pray for this person! He is lame.
Youth Ministry and Future plans.
Youth at our Calvary Chapel, are involved in various outreaches to help share the love and grace of our Lord Jesus through word and deed. In the upcoming season, we are all set for a youth conference in the month of July, which will help the youth to know their purpose in Christ. Along with that, we are also going to plan free food distribution programs for the homeless, twice a month! It’s a good way to express the love of Christ through the preaching of the Word and also serving in our neighborhood.
J* Outreach
The time has come for all of us here in our Calvary Bible Institute to make use of all God’s grace and wisdom to spread the Word in near and far. It is with so much faith, that we are stepping into the new work that God has started in the city of J*. We will be ministering from 24th of May to 4th of June during which many youth meetings, pastors meeting, kids camp, village outreaches, evangelism are going to be held. We are so excited for this open door! We are hopeful that God will open many hearts to the Word and make them taste the goodness of God toward each one of them attending. It is also a great time for our students to be involved in outdoor ministry to use the Word of God in a practical way, so they can also learn to be ready to do ministry after finishing the lecture phase. This also helps us to recruit students for the Bible school. So be praying for this outreach.
Our Calvary Chapel Church Update
I cannot stop thanking God for the things that he’s doing in our church. People are being equipped to truly understand the Word of God. Every week we hear amazing testimonies from the church families. It really encourages a lot of us to move forward. Our Good Friday service and Easter Sunday Resurrection worship services went really well and were blessed.
God is doing amazing things through women’s Bible study. In our church most of the women are from Hindu backgrounds and were tortured by their husbands! Being in the Word really sustains them in faith and helps them to be strong. Children ’s ministry is also going on every week and kids are growing in the Lord. As they are being raised in broken families and disturbed situations, the Word of God is playing a major role in their lives.
We are also reaching out to our local community from our church by serving among the aged women who were abandoned by their children in nursing homes. We are going to those homes and caring for them by sharing the Word of God. Spending time with them gives a lot of joy to them and for us, too. Praise God that he’s using our church to reach out to our community and heal the broken-hearted and comfort.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Pray that we grow more in preaching the Gospel. Pray that the people in the village see Christ. Pray for the many broken families. Pray for Brother S* from the village. He has gone through a broken marriage. All of us could witness that moment on the earth for a few days. Brethren came from all over our country and fellowshipped with each other; it was truly a blessing. It is one of the many instances where we truly experienced the meaning of the word “koinonia”. We felt encouraged that we and our brothers share many things in common: our faith, our love, our heart, and our mind—because we share one Lord, one Spirit and one baptism. Not only are we one in all of the above-mentioned things, we all share the same sufferings and trials, which eventually serve a purpose to conform the body of Christ into fullness and holiness.
Praise Report
“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain."
‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭16‬a
It is with a great unspeakable joy, that we share in the call or the commandment to GO AND BEAR fruit. When we do God’s work in God’s way, the consequence of this God-honoring ministry is that the fruit will remain and be a source of blessing to many.
During the past Christmas season, we visited a tribal community in a neighboring state. Our hearts were burdened by seeing the dysfunctional families with children. That community has the history of opposing Christianity and ministers of Christ for a long time. Sadly, all of the men in the community were addicted to marijuana and country liquor. Many even lost their lives before their 30’s or 40’s. There are almost 30 widows in the small community. It was a devastating reality. We shared the love of Christ, through saree (clothing) distribution. Not only that, the Word of Christ was preached. We came back with hopeful and grateful hearts that God had opened a new door for us to minister to the community and have been expectant of fruit since then.
We have now gotten an update about the fruit. Many accepted Christ! The people in the community permitted local ministers of the Word to preach and teach and also gave land to build a church facility for the believers! The work has already been started. We rejoice at what the Lord is doing in the hearts of the people in that community. Please pray for the servant who ministers there. Pray for all their needs to be fulfilled, so that the light of truth may be shone upon many people and communities around through this tribal community.
“And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25‬:‭40‬
A few days ago, we were led to minister in a certain village. The Lord has been slowly opening doors to minister–one soul at a time. We recently got to visit a sister, who is a pregnant mother. Her story is a story of rejection, orchestration, and tragedy. She is ruthlessly treated by her family, and has not been provided her with basic pregnancy needs. Since she could not get enough care and food, she started to eat dirt and stones. Her situation got worse and she was taken to the hospital. Stones had formed in her stomach.
God opened doors for us to minister to this sister’s medical needs, and to provide fruit and proper food for her. Please pray that she may come to know the one true God and accept Him as her Lord. Please also pray for her health and the health of her baby (to have good growth and nourishment).
40 Days of Cottage Prayer Meetings
The Lord, in His grace, has helped us initiate a spiritual awakening among the church members to gather everyday for 40 days, since there are 40 days of prayer and fasting in the season of Resurrection Sunday. We got to visit each and every family and spend time in worship and the Word and fellowship. It has been a great time of encouragement to be bonded and blessed. May these prayer meetings be a blessing to everyone who is part of them. Pray also, as we are approaching Good Friday fellowship and Resurrection Day.
Enlarging of Tents
Decisions and choices play a very important role in fulfilling the great commission. They can either help fuel the growth or even stop the spread. We believe, with all of our hearts, that God has a great plan for our city. It is high time to take action to help spread the message of God’s salvation from a strategic location like ours. God, in His mercy, has opened a door for us to buy a plot of land for the extension of the Bible institute. It is with a great burden that we are imploring to God, that He will provide each and every need for this task to be fulfilled for His Name and glory.
A Day of Rest and Fellowship
The Lord provided for everyone to have a day of rest and fellowship. We all got to spend a day, from morning till evening, in a resort where we played cricket and did recreational activities. We all took some time and got into the water to enjoy the summer weather in a swimming pool. It was refreshing and relaxing. The Lord blessed our hearts and souls with some very much needed rest and joy.
Upcoming Ministry Plans
Nursing Home Ministry
The youth from our Church have been so fruitful in their ministry, that they are now ministering to many old women in a nearby nursing home. Please pray that Lord will provide all of the needs for this and for His grace to be upon us to be carriers of His light and love among these hopeless people.
Urban Missions
Praise God! He has been so gracious to all of us by keeping us safe and healthy during this summer season. We are planning to spread the love of Christ, through organizing a water supply project near our church. Since the temperatures are going to get much worse, it will be a great time to be a witness for Christ this season.
Missions Outreach
As we mentioned before, we are heading to the central part of the country for our semester outreach. There are many different ministries we are all going to be involved in, including:
A 2-day long pastors meeting Youth meetings Worship teachings Evangelizing in workplaces Prayer walks Village outreaches Kids camp Please pray for all of the students and staff. Grace and peace to each and every heart who reads and gives Glory to God in the Highest by reading this newsletter.
Christmas was never meant for the festivities, lights, trees, Santa Claus, etc. We could go on and on. As the body of Christ, we are to be very cautious that the message and focus should never be diverted from Christ. Keeping that in mind, we prayed and sought the Lord’s wisdom to direct our ways in celebrating the season of advent this year.
“The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬ ‭
We, as disciples, ought to follow the Lord’s example of first doing, and then teaching. Wherever God led us during the Christmas season, we not only shared the love of Christ by distributing material needs, but also preached the God’s truth for their souls.
Outreaches and Evangelism
N* Outreach:
Ever since brother P* began laboring in this community, God led him to have a Christmas outreach arranged. We prepared food for the community, preached the Christmas message, and distributed blankets because winter has begun here. Children, women, and the elders of the community were so encouraged that the new work, which had been initiated had taken momentum to bring the kingdom of God from above.
K* Christmas Outreach
Since all of the K* community members are migrant workers from neighboring states, it is their custom to celebrate Christmas in a grand way in their villages back home. God opened a door to stage a big celebration which included blanket distribution and a community dinner. The Christmas message was preached that indeed Christ is the reason for Christmas and the priceless gift from God the Father to every soul.
Gospel Trip
It has always been our burden to visit our friends and family in both of the states that speak our language after Covid. God, in His providence, encouraged us and provided all of our needs for traveling about 2,000 km to sharing the love and message of Christ. During this trip, we were able to meet many new families, including unbelievers and Catholics. We went to many different areas. At our final destination, we had planned our Christmas outreach among tribals. They have always been in opposition to the truth and hostile towards Christianity. But we are so thankful to God that we found favor with the villagers. We preached the Word of Christ and distributed sarees to the women in the community. Never, ever before have the villagers come forward to be prayed for in all these years–but for the first time ever, they came forward to be prayed over with their families. God filled our hearts with peace and joy. We are hopeful that we will see them again, and that a new work will begin in and around the region.
One of the many things we learned by traveling through all of the cities, villages and different areas is that there is lack of workers and also a lack of biblical churches. Our hearts are filled with grief that our people are perishing without the knowledge of God.
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”
Hosea 4:6a
Verily, verily, more than the need for sound churches, we are in need of sound preachers and teachers to fill people with the knowledge of God.
Christmas Eve Service at Our Church in the City
During our Christmas caroling, the final part of our Christmas outreaches, we had the opportunity to spend Christmas with people in our church’s families and their extended relatives. It all went so grandly that God’s name was magnified in all the activities that we as a church had done in the communities. Then we ended our Christmas season by worshiping the Lord in the Christmas Eve service. The church was packed, and new people came to the church to celebrate the birth of Christ. We thank God for the prayers answered, doors opened, and Gospel preached to the heathen.
As a church, we prayed, put faith in the Lord for the upcoming year and for what our Lord has in store. We all gathered for the New Years service with a renewed faith and hope that He will build His Church and the Gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
Our classes for the next semester will be starting the 2nd week of February. We have already exceeded the limit for the number of students. Thankfully, God is sending laborers for His field, and we are prayerfully waiting for them to study the Word of God with more awe and reverence this new year.
It is a joy to share with you that brother P* has been ordained as a teaching pastor at the new church new plant in Y*, and brother A* has been ordained as a youth pastor in C*. We are grateful to God that He has been gracious enough to lead our brothers’ lives and we are eagerly awaiting to see what the Lord is going to accomplish through their lives.
New Church Plant Opening Service
We are really thankful to God that He placed a burden in our hearts towards the new area to reach out to the lost and needy. Brother P* has been ministering in the area for 2 years. Now, God has opened the door to have Sunday worship services. He has blessed us with a hall, free of cost to use for gatherings! So, we cleaned the hall and made arrangements to begin Sunday worship service. Last week, we had the opening dedication service in the hall. It really blessed us so much to see people coming from different areas. Every Sunday we have worship service there and every Wednesday we have Bible study.
There are still have some needs in the church hall (above). Please pray that God will provide our needs and bless the church.
Calvary Bible Institute Update
“Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers.”
Ephesians 1:15-16
The church in Ephesus is an exceedingly vibrant church that not only accepted the Gospel but was also bold to share their faith with the Gentiles around them. Similarly, we at Calvary Chapel hear of your faith and love for all the saints. We never cease to give thanks to God for your never-ending generosity for the propagation of knowledge about Christ, our Lord.
Commencement of a New Semester
“Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
Isaiah 43:19
God promised that He will do a new thing among His people. We are all His handiwork, and He is always ready to do new things through those who love and obey His commandments. We believe that the very reason He chose all of us is to do new things. Therefore, His name will be glorified and the Gentiles may be drawn to the light. It is with that living hope we began a new semester this February, and we cannot wait to see what God has in store for us in the coming season! We have two new students, and God has laid it on our hearts to pour out ourselves in service to our brethren.
CBI Ministries
Chapel Talk
One of the ways to enhance the preaching and teaching skills of our students is to highly encourage them to teach, so that they can grow in the art of teaching. In this chapel talk teaching session, we assess their gifts and give suggestions for better ways for them to make the text understandable to the audience. It has been a great blessing to see our brothers grow and help them to be ready in season and out of season.
Local Outreach Tuesdays
We have prayed over and came forward with a new initiative this semester: to send out our students every week to local outreaches in nearby areas. Along with continuous teaching throughout the week, our brothers are burdened to share the Light among the darkness. Our brothers have already reached out and we received good tidings from this labor. May Our Lord open more doors and hearts to disciple one soul at a time
Park Ministry and Street Gospel
In a city like ours, the mission field is everywhere the eye can see. As, Zinzerdorf once said, every heart with Christ is a missionary and every heart without Christ is our mission field. Our mission field is huge and vast. Our brothers and us are being prepared for the upcoming season of reaching out to those in the parks and streets with the Gospel. Usually, parks and streets are places where young adults and teens come to hang out. Where sin is increased, grace is increased all the more. May the Lord, give us grace to be the carriers of His love and mercy.
Semester Missions Outreach
Our tents are going to be enlarged. God, Himself is going to enlarge the territories of Kingdom of God in our nation. God, miraculously opened a door to minister in the central part of the country. The seed was sown. Now, it has started to work. We were invited again to serve in one of the cities. We are so filled with hope that He has chosen this city for a great harvest in the coming days.
Below are the few ministries that all of us are planning to be involved in.
Pastors Conference (Preparing them through the right Word of God) Youth Meetings Village Evangelism Outreach (Preaching gospel to the unreached.) 2 Day Long Pastor Meeting Worship Teachings Evangelism In the Workplace Prayer Walks Village Outreaches Prayer Requests
Pray for our church’s to be transformed into more of His image and to do His purpose. Yes, God has been doing a great work in us and through us to reach out to the lost. I thank you for your prayers and support.
During the Christmas season, we have a great opportunity to reach out to people and show the love of Christ. We are planning to have Gospel outreaches in 5 different locations. Two in the city, 2 in villages, and 1 in a tribal area. Pray that those who listen will see Christ and experience His love. We are going to preach the Gospel to them.
As I was meditating on the Word of God and thinking about reaching out to the lost, God reminded me of this verse: “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the Gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God”. Only the true Gospel of Christ has power to unveil the minds of unbelievers and open their eyes. So, we are going to take the Gospel to the places where Satan has been enthroned. Our schedule starts on December 7th and lasts until December 25th. We will be travelling to many different places and many different districts. Almost 20 different districts! Please pray for our travels. We are very thankful for a vehicle that God has provided. We have been praying for 3 years for a vehicle. God amazingly provided it in His timing! We are praising God for His provision.
Bible Institute Student Outreach During School Break God works in many amazing ways. It is with that assurance and faith that we started work in a village nearby. I mentioned this village in my previous newsletter. There is hostility and strong enmity towards the Gospel in this village. God, in His plan, once again led us to this village, after the semester was over.
Before entering the village, we prayed over the village, proclaimed God’s authority and cried out for God’s protection. As soon as we entered the village, we followed the example of the Lord’s ministry by going two-by-two in every direction of the village. The Lord, in His grace, opened up the hearts of a few. Those few accepted the Gospel and invited us to visit their homes. We all evangelized in the village for 4 hours. When all of us except for two, had arrived to our meeting place, the news had already spread all over the village that Christians were in the village proclaiming the Gospel. Many of the people gathered together and were plotting to confront us. As the final two, were about to reach our meeting point, people ran behind our brothers to confront them. But our brothers outran them and reached the meeting place. From there, we all could drive away from that village. After we went a short distance, we stopped by at a temple. We sat there and again prayed for the village. God, revealed to us while we prayed that the enemy is enthroned in that village, but God who is far greater than the enemy, is going to topple down the same enemy from the throne and going to rule over the hearts of the people in the village. Then, we had to take another route to exit the village than the usual route.
Park Evangelism: The next day, we went to a park nearby. We followed the same method of evangelizing, two-by-two, in the park. All of us, shared the Gospel with many of the people. At the end, one of our brothers, did open-air preaching in the park where many got to hear the Word of God. We pray that the seeds which were sown, will bear fruit in due time for His glory.
Hospital Ministry: The very next day, we went to the largest hospital in our city. There we prayed, helped, and served the patients. We took a hold of every opportunity to share the love of Jesus to the patients who are unloved, hopeless and homeless.
Prayer Walk: We serve and do ministry in the city. We were also led to walk for over 22 miles in the city and pray over the houses and communities here. We evangelized all the way. We were filled with hope and faith that God would one day bring each and every one to the knowledge of His son, Jesus Christ.
Food Distribution: The final day, we prepared dinner, and made packages of the food to distribute to those without food and to the homeless. We were not only prepared to give food, but also to share love of Jesus by sharing the Gospel.
Calvary Bible Institute Update God, in His rich mercies, helped all of our staff and students successfully complete this semester. It is a sheer joy to see the students mature and grow in the grace and knowledge of our Savior. Fervent zeal to reach the lost has been manifest in all of the students. The staff are also being prepared for the harvest which is to come through this labor. Each and every teaching, every book, every session so magnified the truth in God’s Scripture that all of us here are day-by-day being made complete for every good work and also be called as men of God to faithfully and rightly divide the Word of Truth.
What we especially feel blessed about at the Institute is the fellowship that the students have. The fellowship they have with God through their diligent study of the Word and continuous prayer life, and also their fellowship with one another as they are getting to know each other and love one another. A wide range of Biblical teachings from the Old Testament and New Testament are being helpful for all of us to be well acquainted with the whole counsel of God. It is with great anticipation we cry unto the God of the harvest to send more workers for our fields, where there is an unprecedented lack of Biblical knowledge.
Pastors’ Conference “God’s Grace”–this is the reply given by all of our students when we asked them for feedback about the pastors conference in a nearby country. It has been a dream-come-true moment for us to be able to comprehend the meaning for the words: “No man has ever seen or no man has ever heard for the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” Some of our students never even imagined in their dreams that God would cause them to set foot in a different country. The teachings by visiting pastors, meeting the body of Christ in the nearby country, eating the country’s pork meat, having fellowship with one another, experiencing the unusual cold weather– the list goes on and on. Brethren, nothing is in vain. Each and every little detail God has prepared serves a purpose. We believe that it is just the beginning of our lifetime mission to see every nation, every tribe and every tongue worship the One true God.
While we were staying there, we saw co-workers from different parts of the world. Our brothers felt great comfort in their hearts–knowing that they are not alone in this battle which we wage with unseen principalities and the power of this world. The truth which was proclaimed in the teachings has enabled all of us to keep running the race and pressing towards the mark and reach unto those things which are in the future. Even though our nations, languages, cultures, and traditions vary so much, Christ is whom we all have in common. We are all made one in Him, who has given Himself a ransom for whomsoever believes in Him.
Graduation Seven students recently graduated during the conference. We rejoice at their devotion and commitment to Christ. They firmly believed that a good work has been started by God within them, and that it is He who will bring a glorious end to that good work which He began. We are filled with hope to see the fruit in the coming days and that this little flock will be faithful to the Lord and bring in more souls for the expansion of Kingdom of God.
Our brothers are going to be spread in different directions all over in 2 different states in this coming season. All of the things, which God has taught them while they were in the Bible Institute will be used as they are in field. Especially the effects of false teachings that have been ransacking the lives of the sheep in the states. The work, now for our brothers will be to teach the sheep at a higher level the truth revealed in the divine scriptures in their houses, villages and cities. We expect great things and also do great things because we serve a God who is great. Though the seed which has been sown in our hearts is small, we believe our God will bring increase in due time and that the fruit in both the states would be unfathomably more.
Youth Bible Study Youth at our Calvary Chapel church plant are another set of wonderful souls, that God has bestowed to us. The eagerness and earnest desire to ponder on the Word of God has been steadily increasing in their souls. As of now, they are being taught from the Gospel of Mark by brother A*. A few of the youth have already started to minister in word and deed in a nearby old-age home. They are also using every opportunity to bear witness for the Word of God and testimony of Lord Jesus Christ. We are praying and preparing our minds and hearts to do more evangelism in our communities in the coming year and to let ourselves shine and do good works for the Glory of the Father, who is in heaven.
More evangelism that is going on includes: street witnessing, track distribution, park evangelism, prayer walks, in-home Bible studies, college outreach and more. We believe, the unreached are our neighbors next-door, our neighborhood, our community and our city. Our prayer is to reach our city and a nearby city. May God pour out His grace unto each and every youth in the church to be a vessel for His Word and good works which He has prepared before the foundation of the world.
Women’s Bible Study On Wednesdays, our regular women’s Bible study is playing a very significant place in those who attends’ lives. During it, they can learn, grow and be strengthened to endure the suffering they go through in their daily lives. Most of these sisters’ husbands beat and harass them. They go through domestic abuse for choosing Christ and coming to the fellowship. Even though the cost is high, the Lord is strengthening them to take a stand for the truth and to lead their families to saving faith.
Sunday School Most of the kids at our Sunday School come from broken, disturbed families. Church is where these beautiful kids are loved, cared for and taught about Christ. All of the kids are actively taking part in Sunday school activities. We praise God that their day-to-day commitment is firm in Christ as they are growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ.
One of Our Graduate’s New Church Plant At the new church plant in Y*, Sunday worship service has started in the evenings, through which the Lord graciously added 5 families to our church. The book of Psalms is being taught in the evening service. Since a new work has been started here in this community, more work needs to be done regarding teaching the basics of our faith, so that a strong foundation will be laid in this church. They are being edified in the matters of love, grace and forgiveness to each other. Evidently, the Word is working in their hearts and transforming their souls. Please pray that God will open more doors to reach the heathen with the saving faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.
A Testimony of God’s Miraculous Works A sister named P*, who is a family member of a church member, was pregnant and admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. Doctors gave up on her, saying that there were complications in the baby’s growth and confirmed that the baby had already died in the mother’s womb. The condition was so severe that even the mother’s life was be in danger. As soon as we received the call, we prayed and reached out to the hospital and interceded for God’s help in this critical situation. God, In His rich mercies heard our prayers and miraculously healed both the mother and the baby. We thank God that He has shown grace upon this family.
N* Slum God laid upon our brother P*’s heart to reach out to the people in N*. Initially, the people were non-responsive and reluctant towards the Gospel. As soon as they were shown love by some acts of kindness in times of need (like blanket distribution), they invited brother P* to start a Bible study with a Christian family in the slum. This fellowship of one family has now increased to 6 families. Brother P* is ministering them with the Word every Thursday.
The kids in the slum are uneducated. So everyday brother P* is teaching 15 of the children. Please pray for the kids to grow in the Word of Christ and for the families who attend the fellowship. Your prayers are also needed for our Christmas outreach in this slum which is to be conducted on the December 10th.
K* Bible Study Every Monday, we meet with families to build homes on the foundation of the Word of God. Through these meetings, we pray that men will be reached and be drawn closer to God. Many men are addicted to alcohol and physically abuse the sisters who attend the meetings. These meetings are also to strengthen our sisters, and that through them, their husbands will come to know about God and come to Christ.
Also, on Fridays, Bible exposition on the Gospel of Mark is being taught to help those who listen to know the servant nature of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Praise Report Praise God that He has helped all of the graduates successfully finish their training. Praise God for providing a new vehicle for ministry which will help in the expansion of the Kingdom of God Praise God for providing a house to have worship service in Y* Praise God for His faithfulness for every need which is met, every prayer which has been answered, and pouring out His grace to continue this work for the whole year A sister named A*, who has been attending to our fellowship, was going through a financial crisis. Ever since she started to grow in the Word, the Lord was ministering to her heart. A new house was made available to her family by the grace of God. Seeing her grow in God, her husband started to physically abuse her. Please pray that God will open his heart to the Gospel.
Thank God for healing sister M*, who has been suffering with PCOD. Please pray for her to be able to have a child.
Praise God, that He opened doors for the kids to be enrolled in a nearby school (since they were all illiterate). Please pray that God continues to provide them good education.
During the covid lockdown, one family was badly affected. All of the family members were ill. Our brother P* ministered to that family. They are now healed and know the greatness of our God who rejoices in showing mercy to the merciless.
Church Prayer Requests Although we were blessed with an old house in which we could hold services, we still need electricity to continue the services. Please pray that God will meet this need, so that we can worship Him without any interruptions. Please pray that God will provide the needs for the church such as 15 chairs etc. Please pray for a family in T*. May God open the door to start a Bible study and use this family to reach the people in this community. Pray for brother P*’s spiritual life. He wants to be faithful to the Lord and His Word. Please pray for P*’s family, brothers, sisters and brother-in-laws’ salvation. May God bring them to Christ. The God’s Holy Spirit directed us to start going to houses that we have not reached yet and have fellowship with the families there. So, I announced during our Sunday worship service that each believer should choose 3 families to take us to. They should be families they know, who have never heard the Gospel, so that we could go and have fellowship with them. This really worked and went really well. We reached 15-18 families and we are praying to continue to minister to them. Please pray for this.
I also really want you all to pray for unity and love in our church.
Bible College We have finished our spring semester successfully, by your prayers and support. Our students went back to their villages and started conducting youth meetings and sharing the Word. The Word of God stirred up their hearts. They have started small groups and teaching the Word. It is really a joy to see them spending time on the young people. During their break time, students planned youth meetings in different towns. They are ministering. Praise God for this! We are excited for what God has for them.
“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
1 Corinthians 15:58
We all, as brothers and sisters in the Lord, as one body, proclaim this truth over and over. We are so overwhelmingly amazed that the Lord has poured out His grace upon us to stand firm all through these years. No matter what. We share the good works that the Lord has prepared for this church here before the foundations of the world. We, as a church, are constantly encouraged through this truth to give ourselves, each and every one, “fully” to the work of the Lord, faithfully and wholly. Although many ministerial works are being served through this church, this truth encourages our hearts that each and every small work matters and counts before the eyes of the Lord. At the end of the day, Our labor in the Lord is never in vain.
Our Calvary Chapel Church’s 7th Anniversary Celebration and Gospel Outreach And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
Matthew 16:18
Truly, truly does this business of building church belong exclusively to Jesus, our Lord–never to us. The thread of never-ending history of the church from the beginning of the church-age ties up to this promise of the scripture. Very little did we know about His plan and love when God sent His men to a lukewarm church in our country. Now, we could understand and fathom the decisions taken by the saints were always stirred up by the Spirit of the Lord for the furtherance of the Gospel to our beloved brethren.
By saying this, we continuously praise God with a heart of thankfulness and gratitude that He has sustained His church and will faithfully continue to do so until His return. The Lord was gracious on each and every little detail of the celebrations. Church believers from the two church plants gathered with one accord and one mind in Christ. Sisters from Calvary Chapel in the city voluntarily joined in preparing dinner for all the attendees. Since it was decided to have the meeting on the college campus, we also had an opportunity to share the Gospel to our neighbors in the community. It was a joyous celebration all through the end and, of course, a powerful Word by Pastor S*, from the pastors’ association in the city, encouraged our hearts to keep pressing forward until the end.
Missions Outreach in Another State “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”
Romans 10:14
Our prayers and supplications to God did include some questions like,
“How will people of our country be saved, Lord?”
“How are we going to reach the people in the neighboring states, Lord?"
We are always amazed to see how our prayers are answered and doors opened to all possibilities. We prayed for the Lord’s guidance and assistance to send us. Initially, we had decided to minister in 2 different locations one after the other. Lord, in His foreknowledge changed our minds to have our teams separated and sent.
J* Outreach We started off our journey from our city to J* which took at least 18 hours. Meanwhile, we were met by a few co-passengers with whom we shared the glorious Gospel of our God through Jesus Christ.
As soon as we reached J*, we then stayed at church where B*’s dad pastors the church. The very next morning we went for a prayer walk all over the locality to intercede on behalf of the people, so that they could accept the free gift of salvation of God through Jesus Christ. In the evening, we headed to a local church for a youth meeting. Many of the sisters in the church are being excommunicated from their families for accepting Christ. Even though the cost is high, they are not ashamed of the Gospel.
Alongside with the help of B*’s dad, we traveled over 700 kilometers throughout all the surrounding districts of J*. Every meeting we attended, every word we preached brought a new awakening in the souls of the believers. For a matter of fact, there are churches in the deep jungles. The sad fact is, there are no churches that teach sound-doctrine. Some of the pastors were expressing their joy that we are the only preachers who focused on sin and repentance. This also bears so much burden on us that there will be a huge influx of youth who will be attending our Bible college to study the Word. Adding to that, all of the pastors requested us to come back and train their co-workers in the Word
Please pray for the future harvest in this region. May the Lord open many doors in the form of Bible-conferences, youth camps and many more to spread the Word.
Please pray for the many villages where there is huge scarcity of water resources and lack of knowledge about personal hygiene.
Note: God really put it in our hearts to reach out those villages and train young pastors and leaders who are serving there. I have been praying about it and have planned to have a small mission training trip twice a year for 10-15 days. Please pray for this.
K* Outreach: This is a district in another state. We went to a village where a lot of young people were addicted to drugs and alcohol. On the first day we went to street to share the Gospel and stood at the center of the village and proclaimed the Gospel. Some people came to us and we prayed for them. We faced persecution in that village. They told us to stop sharing. After that we went to door to door to share the Gospel and hand out the Gospel tracks. It is really amazing to see how powerful the Gospel is.
Next day we took a loud speaker and drums. We sang songs on the main roads. Whoever we saw on the roads we went to them and shared about the love of God and prayed for them. After that the Holy Spirit of God lead us into a village. Our students prepared choreography and skits to perform an outreach program. So, we stopped at a place and started performing dances and skits which related to the Gospel.
Almost 30-40 people gathered. We got a great opportunity to share the Gospel and proclaimed it with the help of the Holy Spirit. Our Bible college students were lead by the Spirit of God to go and speak to them. It was really amazing to see students really touched by the Word of God and practically using the Word in others’ lives. Watching them doing those things, I really felt happy and praised God.
One of our students talked to a group of young people who were addicted to drugs and encouraged them and prayed for them. Almost 15 young people were there. The villagers were really happy and invited us to their houses to pray and asked us to come back again to teach the Word. So please be praying for that too.
Kids Camp in K* We got to do a 3 day kids camp in the village. Almost 40- 50 kids gathered. We got to introduce Jesus to them and spent an awesome time with those little ones. It is really amazing the see how God is leading us and using the Bible college students and staff. I am really thankful to have such a great staff here who are helping equip the students and investing in their lives. It is really a blessing to have staff who are capable and men who fear God and have heart to reach out the unreached. It is a great team.
Calvary Chapel Children’s Camp in our City “You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”
Duet. 6:7
God also led us to conduct children’s camp in our campus upon completion of the outreaches. Children from both churches were taken to the camp to be trained in the Word for 3 full days. It was a joy to see the kids playing Bible activities, songs and dances etc. On the final day, children were given toys and certificates for their active participation in all the activities. Please continuously praying for the work here.
Prayer Requests Pray for our family to grow more in Christ and to be strong. Pray for our staff to grow more in the knowledge of Christ and to be in unity Pray for our church to have unity Pray for our upcoming semester that starts in July. Pray for our Bible college’s new building construction. The paperwork should be finished soon. Please pray for the financial needs of the registration process. Pray as we are developing a ministry through media to reach out to many. Pray for God’s lead and provision for that. Pray for the students. I have been praying for you.
" The word of the Lord spread through the whole region."
Acts 13:49
It is our Lord’s heart to spread the Word and preach it with boldness and power. One of the signs that the Lord is in our midst is that His Word spreads and the church grows. It has been so encouraging that what Lord has started in the midst of us is about to bring a long-lasting impact on everybody who is serving and also everyone who is being served.
We are so thankful to our Lord for opening many doors to minister in word and also in deed. Below are the few good things God started.
Cottage Prayer Meetings God has helped us start prayer meetings everyday in houses of those we have lead to the Lord, to strengthen them and encourage them grow in their lives in Christ. They have truly felt God’s comfort and love all through this difficult season. Our staff was asked to share the Word, so that they could be used to expand the Kingdom of God. The Lord stirred up the hearts of these believers to bring in and invite more of their family members and friends to listen to the Gospel.
Wednesday Bible studies have been a blessing to the church. Many of the sisters in the church are being filled with the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Brother A* has been leading the youth (teenagers and young adults). We are studying the Gospel of Matthew in our Saturday youth Bible study. God has been so gracious over all of the youth. They are getting to know that Jesus is King. He is still reigning. No matter what. Lately, all the brothers and sisters have had a very good time of fellowship by ordering KFC. We are hoping and believing that the Lord has great things in store for the future through this small little flock.
Passion Week Being followers of Christ, we are commanded to remember the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. As a church, we all gathered for Good Friday and Resurrection Day. All the believers assembled on our college campus and remembered 7 sayings of our Savior on the cross. This prompted all of us to look unto Jesus. The Good Friday service was followed with dinner. It was so powerful on Resurrection Sunday to experience the joy of knowing that our Lord conquered death. We celebrated the resurrection and are eagerly waiting upon our bodily resurrection.
Outdoor Meeting God, in His mercies has allowed us to travel to a nearby district to share the Word of God. It seemed so impossible because of power cuts (lack of electricity) and many interruptions. Nonetheless, the Lord was so powerfully manifest among us that I preached about the will of God in a Christian life in the open air. Believers really were convicted of their sins and recognized the need of having a personal relationship with our Living Lord.
The Lord has been so faithful in providing for the church rent for the past few months. We pray and believe that He will provide in the coming months as well. Please pray for this.
Praise God for another young brother named V* (right) who I met in our local outreach program. He is a young man who came here for a way to make a living, from a neighboring state. He had never heard about Jesus and His glorious good news. Sadly in his state there is no presence of Christians and people are not aware of Christianity. We hope and pray that we could reach his village through this first fruit. Brother V* is filled with hope now to continue in the quest for truth which is only found in Jesus. Please pray for brother V*.
Gospel Outreach Program in Our City- May 16th In May, we are planning to do a Gospel outreach here in our city. We want to conduct an outreach program where people can come hear the Gospel on the streets. Right now, we are going out for prayer walks and sharing the Gospel on the streets. On the May 16th, we are planning to bring more people from the area we are in. Over 150 people are expected. This will be the first time we are arranging a Gospel outreach program in this new place. We are excited to see how God works in their lives and how the Holy Spirit moves. This has always been in my heart to see people worship our great King who is on the throne. I believe and proclaim this outreach will brings many to Jesus and to transform their lives.
Bible College Outreach : May 23rd - June 6th. We will be having an outreach with the students of our Bible college to go out and preach the Gospel. We are going to 2 different states that God is leading us to go preach Gospel in. In these states, people are not allowed to speak about Jesus. The students and staff will be joining in this outreach. The outreach will last 15 days. We will be preaching the Gospel on the roads, arranging youth meetings, having fellowship, sharing the Gospel door to door, doing personal evangelism, and performing dances and skits on the streets to catch people’s attention and then preaching the Gospel. We are excited about how the Holy Spirit is going to lead us and to see people come to Christ. Pray for us as we prepare for this outreach.
Our Interns I want to share about our interns. After this, he will be sent out.
“And when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. I want to share some things with you all, so that you will know more about how to pray for us. May it be encouraging to you that your prayers are answered and God has heard your prayers. People of God who are praying and supporting us in ministry, may you see the fruit that God has made able to come forth. May God bless you more in the work you do. I will be continually praying for you all.
2 More Accepted Christ It is amazing and happy to see that people are coming to Christ, getting saved and turning away from their sins and from this world.
I got to meet an amazing family. The man’s name is R*. I got to know him through his sister when he was in prison. He was in a gang that was in an attempted murder case, so they put him in prison. He became really depressed and wanted to kill himself.
I was able to talk to him, share Gospel with him and pray over him. From that day on, he felt the love of God. He started believing in Christ and started praying in prison. He confessed his sins and gave his life to Christ. After a few days he was released. He then started coming to our church and decided to get baptized in the name Jesus. The amazing thing is that his whole family got saved and gave their lives to Christ. What an amazing God we serve and worship! The whole family was baptized. Praise God! Now they all are coming to church and regularly attending weekly Bible studies.
Youth Meeting We have been praying to start having a youth conference every month to encourage youth in the Word of God. So, in the month of January we conducted a youth conference. It went really well. I shared the Word of God. These days, young people are struggling a lot and are in the bondage of sin. Some are not able to overcome sin, because of a lack of the Word of God. God really spoke to them that day that they are strong when they are in the Word of God. They also learned not to destroy their spiritual life and relationship with God. The Word of God is always our strength to attack the enemy. We all know when Satan came to Jesus with temptations, Jesus answered with the Word of God. So that is how we overcome the wicked one.
All of the young people were blessed. Some of them recommitted their lives to Christ. Some gave their live’s to Jesus. We also had some fun, played games, sang songs and had dinner together. Afterward everyone asked us when we are going to meet again. It was really amazing that young people wanted to know more about God and grow more in their relationship with Him. Keep praying for these young people to be strong and to have a close relationship with Jesus. Keep praying that these youth conferences continue to grow and to be a blessing to many.
Women’s Bible Study Bible study is going well by the grace of God. Women are learning a lot from the Word of God. My wife Elizabeth is doing women’s Bible study in the middle of the week. Pray that it continuously grows and is blessed. Many are attending and every week new people come. We have been able to see a change in them and their families. They were sharing testimonies about what a blessing this fellowship is. It has really blessed my heart to see them grow. My heart is to see them depending on God more to grow more and to be women of faith and in the Word.
Testimonies from the Worship School Students We have successfully completed the Calvary Chapel Worship School Batch-1 with the Lord’s help. Personally, it was so encouraging to see how God has been helping all through the worship school. We had students from our own state and from other states as well. We had a few students who were very enthusiastic to learn what it means to Biblically worship the God of the Bible. These students not only finished the classes but also decided to enroll in our Bible college.
Student 1*’s Testimony
“I have had many misconceptions and prejudices about biblical worship. I was attracted to un-biblical teachings which affected my worship of God. Despite many difficulties, I made it to the worship school. I thank God wholeheartedly because, though this worship school, God directed my life for a greater purpose and cause. Finally, I am excited for what the Lord has is store for me in the future.”Student 2*’s Testimony
“I have always been skeptical about my faith in Jesus because of my family’s condition. I had no clue of what the Lord was about to do in my life through this worship school. I am now sure that my God wants to be known by me.
Since then, I took a step of faith to join the Bible college school and commit myself in the studying of the scriptures. I am now more clearer than before of my identity because it has been found in Christ through the teachings in this worship school.
I praise God for what He is doing in each one of our lives.”
Bible College Another semester has already started. We have 10 students. Amazingly God has brought His people to be trained and to equipped for His work. These people are awesome. They really have a heart to learn and serve God. Ever since I graduated from the college, I have always been hopeful and confident that God has a place and people for me to serve. I have kept seeking the Lord’s direction and guidance for the future. I was first led to y* slum where they was a Christian family. The Lord opened the door for me to minister to this family. Not only was I allowed to have a Bible study there, but I also was allowed to minister to many other unbelievers in the slum. The Lord has been gracious. Now there are 20 people attending the Sunday service. Amidst the severe pandemic, there was a family which was severely affected in the pandemic and miraculously, the Lord healed all the family members. They are so thankful to their God who healed their bodies and are eager to know Him who is powerful enough to save their souls.”
K* Slum God, in His mercy has gifted me a heart of connecting people as a bridge. Having this in my mind, I was standing in a bus stop and waiting for Lord’s intervention. Then, I was led to meet a young guy. We got to know each other well. He happens to be a guy from a Christian family. He asked me to have a Bible study for all the community members. The Lord has been powerful. There has been gradual growth in the fellowship. Now there are about 12 families who are attending the Sunday fellowship. There has been a huge influx of women converts in the Body of Christ. This is my prayer that men should be raised up and that they act as instruments in shaping the local communities. There are now 3 new converts who are men. They used to be drunkards. Now the are completely sold out for Christ. They are getting to know their Savior through the weekly Bible Studies.
An Update from Brother C*
“It is a great joy working among the children in K* slum. Since I am already a graduate from the Bible college here, I have been full of expectation and excitement to see what God has for me in the future. The Lord answered my prayers through brother P* and I was asked to takeover the children’s ministry in the K* slum. When I first met and tried to understand them, I saw that they all had a nominal Christian upbringing but that their lives were still worldly. I asked the Lord to help me to minister to these little hearts. After I sought the Lord’s help, I taught them about the Savior, Jesus, through some action songs. I am now beyond thankful to God that are so enthusiastic about Jesus. I believe that the Lord has been working in these little hearts. There are now 18 Children attending the fellowship. I am praying to minister to the Hindu kids as well. The children were blessed with Bibles, toys, and Sunday school materials. I am earnestly praying that they would grow more in the Lord and bear fruit worthy of repentance.”
Prayer Request s Pray for our family to grow more in Christ and to be faithful. It is very amazing that God could use us all to proclaim His love and greatness.
God has opened doors to minister to these people and to share the Gospel. This week we were able to distribute groceries to almost 70 families. It is amazing to see smiles on their faces! God was able to provide for His people, like Paul promises for the Philippians that, “My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Jesus Christ.” There is no lack of anything for His people in the kingdom of God.
In our Lord’s prayer it says “Let Your will be done in earth as it is in heaven.” I know it is God who gave us the heart to reach those lost souls. As many of us long to see heaven while living here on this earth, I also want to see the will of God here on earth.
Now we were able to share the Gospel with these people and start a church plant in these 2 areas. Every week, new people join the fellowship and also the Sunday services. We are going to minister to these people continually. Please pray. Next, we are going to distribute Bibles among them. Many are very thankful. They could tell that we loved them and felt cared for. Some of our students and staff also shared how blessed they are to be involved in this outreach. I just want to say thank you for everyone who prayed for us and supported us in distributing groceries.
We are still doing online worship services. We were able to gather everyone through phone calls and also Facebook live. We are going through the book of Hebrews. It has been really awesome! The author of the book really took us in to great revelation. Please pray for our worship services. Everyday we are having a Bible study on zoom. Many people are joining day by day. We have been able to hear that they are learning a lot and are blessed to study the Word verse by verse.
We have been having daily Bible studies for 20 days. We are going to continue teaching the Word of God, using technology, to reach more people during this time of the pandemic. Even in these pandemic times, we are using every opportunity to go reach people and share the Gospel.
Hello, Everyone! My name is (undisclosed). I am pastor 6’s wife and I am really excited to share the things that God is doing here. My friends and I were able to distribute personal hygiene products at our new church plant to bring awareness and also educate them. At the same time we had a prayer meeting. A lot of non-believers attended the meeting and we were able to distribute to everyone and also shared the Gospel. Lots of women do not know about person hygiene or personal hygiene products. We really felt happy to teach them basic hygiene. Many people felt ashamed to take them from us. Here, many people feel ashamed to talk about personal hygiene and do not learn about it. We really felt so happy to teach them how important it is to maintain hygiene. Please continually pray for those women we ministered to.
1st Semester Completed “I really thank God, my pastors, and teachers! They were really encouraging and very much supportive.”
“We were able to finish our 1st semester! It was really a blessing and amazing to see how God leads and how He is using His Word to bring life.”
Our students from the Bible college were sharing how blessed they are to come learn God’s Word and to see the heart of God. Everyone seems like they fell in love with Jesus. Also, they got involved in online Bible studies and outreach programs. Our next semester starts in August and we are going to take more new students. Please pray that the new students who are coming would experience Christ’s love and grace.
Please pray for the Bible college here. Pray that we raise more disciples of Christ to reach both of the states that speak our language. Because, people here are very blinded with the spirit of religion. Many Christian leaders are blinded as well. They treat people like the Pharisees treated others in Bible times. We want to be like how Jesus would impact them through His words, kindness, and love towards others. God put it in my heart to reach people how He reached them. I always used to think, “Why are many churches not strong? Why are they living a life of hypocrisy and their life as they are not born again?”
Then God reminded me that it is because the people are not receiving the Word with understanding and they are also not taught right. In Luke, chapter 13, the owner of a vineyard planted a fig tree and came seeking it’s fruit but he found none. Here, many people are boasting about themselves that they have been a Christian for many years. But they do not realize that they are not bearing fruit. It is sad to see people blinded by this world and claiming to be Christians. The Word clearly tells us that Jesus looks for the fruit. So, God put it in my heart to reach more people. And, also, to raise servant leaders. I know what impacted me and pushed me to be strong. I was able to see Jesus in my study times in Bible college in Nepal.
So, now, I want to see the students who are coming to be impacted by Jesus. Because, I was able to see that if the leaders are corrupt, then they will make corrupt disciples. When we are discipled by Jesus (God’s Word) we will make disciples of Christ. I believe these things and apply them in my life and also in the ministry.
In the Gospel of Luke there is a pattern. Through it, I also was able to see and learn how Jesus ministered. So, I am applying the same here. I always believe when we lead and walk in the ways Jesus did, it is always perfect and it is His will. There is no fear in doing the will of God, because He always provides when He leads. It is Jesus and His Word that caused me to love Him. There is nothing to boast about ourselves, because it is Him who is doing things in us and through us. So, All Glory to God. Amen
My Daughter Once again, I thank you for your love and care towards our daughter. She is now 7 months old and healthy and doing fine. I really want to thank all of you who supported me from my heart. She always reminds us of God’s Grace and His Protection. With Love,Pastor 6* and Family
*Names and faces have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor6/pastor6/2021/07/14/therefore-my-heart-is-glad/

Hello, Everyone!

Thank you all for partaking in the work God is doing here and touching many lives. We are continually praying for you all. Even during the time of this pandemic, God has been very faithful in protecting and providing for us. I am excited and happy to share with you all what’s happening here and in our lives. Thank you for your prayers and support!
In my country, COVID positive cases are growing day by day. Many people are dying. It is really sad to see. Many are losing their parents and children. I want you to please pray especially for my country. People here need more wisdom on how to protect themselves from Corona. Many are reckless. They are still not taking it seriously. It is sad to see them who do not know Christ. I do not know why God allowed it, but still He has a reason–so that many may turn to Him. Please pray about it. Since April, we have been doing our worship services online, and reaching out to other people through social media. New people have also joined our online worship services.
We are happy to see people responding to the Word of God. It blesses my heart. Some of our church people do not use social media, but we still connect with them on our phones through conference calls (bringing them together over the phone) so everyone can join in our worship services. We have 3 worship services each week and also one time for fasting prayers. Please pray for our church people to grow more in Christ, and spend their time encouraging each other, and building their relationships with God. Some of them are discouraged because of the lock down. Some people are sick too.
New Church Plant Even in this hard COVID time, God has a plan for His people. I always believe that if God is allowing something, that means He has something to do with it. So amazingly, God opened doors for us to start a Bible study in a new place, very near our Bible College! It is amazing how God leads to reach His people. You can see in the pictures, this is the new place that we have started a Bible study. Slowly it is growing. This May we started Sunday worship services.
God really did miraculous healing in the midst of them. After we started a Bible study there, slowly people started joining. One of their children was sick and they asked me to pray for them. I said “God, You brought us here to do something in their life. So in Your name I pray and ask You to heal this person.” Then on that day she was healed! Her fever and body weakness went away. I really praise God for His healing.
It’s like working with God for His Kingdom. Many are sharing testimonies of what God is doing in their lives. So, people started believing more and coming to Jesus. I really felt like if God leads definitely He will provide. It is like miracles confirm the message of God. So now most of them are believing Jesus and asking us to come to their homes and pray for them. Now everyone believes that there is hope in Jesus. They are growing more in the Word. So I want you to pray especially for this place that God would use us more to bring people to Jesus.
Food Distribution in a New Place To Reach God opened up an opportunity to visit and share the Gospel with people who are suffering and broken. Almost everyone in the families we visited got tears in their eyes, and asked us to please pray for them. It is really sad to see them suffering during this time of COVID. We prayed and distributed food among them. We also visited each family and shared the Gospel and prayed over them.
Only one family believed on Jesus. Most of them are unbelievers. On the day we did food distribution, they really felt loved and cared for. So please continually pray for these families. They need Jesus. Every Sunday we are going to meet with them and share the Gospel. We are planning to start a Bible study and then start having Sunday worship. This will be another new church plant. So please continuously pray.
Friday Outreaches During the month of April, we did outreaches in 2 different places. One area is the colony our church is in, to reach all the families in that area. Students join us in this outreach. We visit unbelievers houses and pray and share the Gospel with them. When we enter into their houses they really feel happy and welcome us with grateful hearts. Some people directly tells us that they don’t want to hear about God, but we still keep on building relationships with them to lead them to Christ. We sit with the families we visit and listen to what they say. We share the Word and worship the Lord. They share that they feel peace and happy. So we continually visit them every Friday. Please pray for every house we enter. They need to meet Jesus and experience His love and grace in their lives.
The other location we did ministry in was sharing the Gospel on the street and also in the parks. Wherever we go, we share the Gospel with the people during the outreach. Amazingly, God arranges for us to meet people. It is like a spiritual appointment. Every student will be involved in sharing the Gospel to new people and connecting with them to keep building relationships to lead them to Christ. Amazingly, God does good things in their lives! So we go to the places where God leads, and meet those who God wants us to meet.
Leading Worship I got invited to lead worship at a women’s conference and also during a 3 day pastors’ conference in my state . It is really amazing to see His people worshiping God, singing praises to Him from their hearts, and raising their hands to surrender their lives. I am really blessed to be a part of what God is doing among His people. Please continually pray for my worship leading ministry also–that it will help connect people to God and that they would experience His presence.
Bible College Everyone is doing really good. We are able to see the students are learning a lot of things from God’s Word. They are excited to learn more. Already, it has been almost 2 months. Now we are in the 9th week of the semester. They are having a good time learning the Word. Thank you for your prayers and support. Please keep praying. Now, we have started having the students give chapel talks each evening. That means that students will share the Word and learn to teach verse by verse. Everyone is doing a good job in that. Please keep praying.
Prayer Requests: Please pray for the work that is happening here. Pray for our new church plant to keep growing . Pray for the new place that we want to start a Bible study. Pray for our slum ministry. Pray for our youth ministry. Pray for our worship leading ministry and park ministry. Pray for our other new church plant. (It has been going on for 3 months.) There are more places that we need to reach. Please pray for God’s timing and resources. Please pray for a food distribution in the areas where people are suffering and needy and hungry. Many of the “daily wages” workers do not get to eat properly even when things are normal. Now that everything is shutdown, there is no chance for them to go out for work. People are not only dying because of corona- but also because they do not have enough food. Please pray for the Bible college. Please pray for our financial needs for a Bible distribution in the 3 new church plants and a food distribution for the hungry and needy. I really appreciate and am blessed that you all are partaking in the ministry by praying and supporting us. May God bless you and your families. We will be praying for you all too.
You all know about and were praying for my baby. Now, she is doing well and playing a lot! She loves hearing worship music and songs. When we read the Word, she loves to hear it. She smiles while she is sleeping. It is just funny. She has such cute expressions. Whenever I see her, I remember the faithfulness and power of God in our lives. He stood with us all the time, and He is still with us forever. It strengthens us and gives us courage when we think about how God is in control and He is on our side. What a loving God we all have!
I am really blessed and happy to share what God is doing here in our state. One of our friends invited me to his church to minister the people there and to share the Word of God. So we all went as a team and served there. We led them in to worship and got the opportunity to share the Word. I am really blessed to see people who are thirsty for God’s Word. So this summer we are planning an outreach to that area to share the Gospel and teach them the Living Word. Please remember them in your prayers.
This year we started 2 new cell groups in different locations. It was fruitful. People are joining and learning the Word of God. God has put it in our hearts to go reach out to our community, pray for them and bring them to Jesus.
We were able to go meet some new families. Please pray that they see Jesus and experience His love, because we are reaching unbelievers. A new team was formed to go reach out from our church. We are really blessed to see that they have the heart to reach out and love them. It feels so good to see them sharing the love of God.
Bible College In the month of March, we started a Bible college. It started in God’s timing.
When I was in Nepal, as a student, I used to think, “My area needs a school like this, that teaches the right Word.” I always used to pray for my country who need Jesus and need to know the right Word of God.
The teachers at the college had such a great heart. They loved everyone and encouraged us to move forward in faith. I always used to feel like I was in the midst of Jesus. Such a soft hearted people. I wondered how it was possible to love like that and to be like Christ. Then I came to know that they are men of God who know the Word right and that is what is making them humble and loving. Only the Word of God gives the Christ standard life.
So, yes now there is Calvary Chapel Bible college in my state. It is a great joy! I am thankful to God and to my pastors who are encouraging me to move forward.
Right now, we have 7 students eagerly learning the Word of God. They are excited everyday to learn new things from Word. Now we are in the 4th week. I’m really excited about what God is going to do in each one of our students lives and how it is going to turn them to live for Him. It is such a great blessing to see.
We will be having a Gospel outreach every Friday for the students. They go out and share the Gospel on streets and also visit unbeliever’s houses and share love and pray for them. Students also are also involved in children’s ministry, visiting slums, street Gospel outreach and new church plants. So please pray for them.
New Church Plant One of our students here is in his 4th semester and doing very well. Right now, every week he is traveling 112 miles to conduct Sunday worship services, where we have our new church plant. The fellowship is growing, and God is doing amazing things in that place. One of the believers in the new church plant was suffering from kidney stones for many months; the believer had severe pain and was admitted in the hospital. The doctors said that the believer needed to have surgery. They were really worried, and did not have the finances available to move forward with surgery. Our student was very encouraging to them to trust in the Lord, and they prayed and depended on Him for healing. Amazingly, after one week, the stones came out and the believer was healed. They were all really praising God for this healing, and now their faith is growing more and more. Please be praying for this student as he travels every week to minister, and also pray that he will be a faithful servant of Jesus Christ.
Another one of our students, Andrew*, finished his 4th semester in 2020. We are praising God for His protection through all of his journeys. We are excited to see what God has for him. Now, he is helping translate in the Bible College, and he is also going to teach 1&2 Samuel this semester. Be praying for the wisdom of God and that he will be faithful to what God has called him to do. Please also pray for his family.
God’s Mission - Reach out. In the month of May, we are planning an outreach to go reach out with local churches in two states, and also plan to preach the Gospel in the streets. God has put this burden in my heart to go reach young adults to bring them back to Jesus through His Word. These days in church, there are fewer young people because they became distracted with many things and went far from God. They live sinful lives and are not able to come out from that because the true Word of God is not preached in their fellowships, and many people are judging them. So, Jesus wants to meet them and to show them love. Then, they can come back and be freed from all of their addictions. Many young people are dying every day because they make bad decisions in their lives that lead to death. God is not happy with what is happening in these young people’s lives, and it has really touched my heart to see young people taking their lives because they feel hopelessness or insecurity and have addictions. Only Jesus can give them hope and set them free. They need to hear there is hope and freedom from sin, and if they come to Jesus, He will give them a life of hope (living hope). Please be praying for this outreach program. In the next newsletter I will give details about the outreach.
Thank you all for your prayers and love.
Pastor 6* and Family
*Names and faces have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor6/pastor6/2021/04/29/living-hope/

Hello dear family. I thought that in this new year we could take a break and rest before we started new plans for this year and what God has for his people.
As you all know, my wife was due to have a baby on Feb 24th. But, all of a sudden, in her 8th month, her blood pressure got really high and her face and hands swelled up. This was on the 31st of December. I was praying, “Dear God, What is happening?” So, we rushed to the hospital. The doctor checked her blood pressure. It was 150/100. She was admitted into the hospital for observation. As they were giving her medication, her blood pressure went higher. They kept her in the hospital for 7 days. But, the treatment did not help her blood pressure, its just keep getting higher. Finally, her blood pressure reached 180/122. The baby was not getting any nutrients from her mother because there was a placenta problem. Doctors said they would have to abort the baby so that they could save the mother. But, I prayed,“God, You know what is happening. I know you are in control even in the difficult times.” I was looking to God and trusting Him that He is able to save my baby and my wife. The next morning, everything was ready for a C-section to try to save my wife. The doctors thought that there was no way that our baby would survive. The hospital took a video of my wife and I, together, saying that the hospital would not be responsible if anything happened to the baby or to the mother. When the doctors were saying these things, I thought, “My God, who I serve and worship, is so powerful He can raise people from the dead. He will protect and He is able.” Everyone was crying outside, but I heard God saying, “Stay still and see what I can do.” They did the C-Section and took out the baby. They were shocked to see that our baby was moving and crying!!! So, they called an ambulance to transfer her to another hospital that was 45 minutes away. For about 4 weeks she was in an incubator. The nurses who were taking care of our baby said, “Your baby is not drinking milk properly. She will only drink 5ml instead of 25ml.” I prayed, “Dear God, what is happening now?” Then, again, God reminded me, “I am watching over your baby. Do not worry.” So, I thought, “Yes, God.” The next day, the doctors called us and said, “Your baby’s blood levels say that there is infection in her blood.” I shared this with our friends and pastors to ask them to pray. Then, God reminded me again, “I did not bring her this far to stop now. Wait and see.” 2 days later, her blood test results came back normal! I was so amazed to see the works of God! This January was full of amazing things our family was able to see.
“Behold, I will do a new thing,Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.“Isa 43:19.
“Instead of your shame you shall have double honor,
And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion.
Therefore in their land they shall possess double;
Everlasting joy shall be theirs.”
Isa 61:7.
God spoke to us through His Word and strengthened us. I believe through this God has taught us many things. To trust Him no matter what situation we are in. Prayer has power. I believe God is preparing our hearts for greater things about to come for His glory.
Thank you to all who supported us financially to pay for the medical bills. I am really thankful to have such a great family in Christ who loves us and prays for us. This year has been exceptionally cold. When I drive at night, I see people who are suffering on the streets and people who are homeless. They do not have anything to cover them to protect them from the cold. Some of them cover with very little clothes. It is really sad to see them suffering in the cold. We have homes and enough blankets to cover us and protect us from the cold. But the people who live on the streets do not and are suffering. God put it in my heart to have compassion on them. I know it is the heart of God to go reach them and to tell them that He loves them and wants to have a relationship with them. So, I prayed and asked God for His provision to go reach them. And amazingly God provided!
We decided to go distribute the blankets in the middle of the night from 12am- 4am. We all went as a team and got to reach people who really needed the blankets. Many were old people who were left by their children on the streets. We were able to reach them and cover them with blankets. One man had wrapped himself in a plastic cover from the cold. We were able to go talk to him and pray with him and give him a blanket. So far, we reached approximately 40 people who were suffering from the cold and could not protect themselves during this season. We also preached the Gospel and prayed over them.
Christmas Carols I can’t wait for this time of year and am excited because it is the best time to go to unbelievers’ houses to reach them by greeting them and having fellowship. We also give them a gift for Christmas and share the Gospel. It really makes them feel loved and cared for. We have a team of 7 people from our church who actively participated in reaching out through caroling. As we are caroling, we go to unbelievers’ homes and sing songs which are related to Christ’s birth and the Gospel.
When they see us REJOICE in Him, they also join in singing and dancing with us. Then we share the Gospel with them and ask if they want us to pray for them. They respond quickly and ask us to pray. I am really blessed see how God leads us to His children to heal their hearts and brings them out from sin. He doesn’t want anyone to perish. There are many broken families who need Jesus in their lives to restore what Satan tried to destroy. We were able to reach them, pray with them, and encourage them from the Word of God. For many families here, Christmas is about decorating, stars, Christmas trees, Santa, lights etc. But, still they do not feel joy in their lives. They depend on those things to make them feel like it is Christmastime. When December is gone, the joy also ends with it. But, we were able to share what true Christmas is about: that they can be joyful every day in Christ, and how we can receive that precious gift from God who redeemed us from sin, death, and the bondage of sin. We were able to see them coming back to Christ. Learning the true meaning of celebrating the birth of Christ filled them with hope, peace and grace.
New Church Plant I am very much blessed to see how God is working in these people. As I shared in my last newsletter, we plan to start new church plants this year. God really opened the door to go reach them and to lead them to Christ. This is the area where our brother Paul was lead by the spirit of God and reached this area where there were sheep without a shepherd. They have been moving around to many different churches. In that area, there are 8 families who believe in Christ. More than 30 families are unbelievers. So, we want to reach those 30 families with the Gospel and power of God and see them come to Jesus. We also want to train the 8 believing families to reach others in their area. Thank you for your prayers. Also please pray for my wife. She is now in the 8th month of pregnancy. Her due date is in February. We are very excited for this gift from God! Thank you, brothers and sisters in Christ, for partaking in God’s work that we are doing here. I really appreciate your heart for God and investing in His kingdom work. May God continuously bless you and your families. We will be praying for you all.
Thank you!
Pastor 6* and Family
*Names have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor6/pastor6/2021/01/13/filled-with-joy/

This December was filled with the joy of reaching out to people to share the Gospel with them and reach them with love. Everyone was so happy to come together to worship our Lord Jesus Christ! We had the Lord’s supper together during our 1st Sunday worship service. During the lock-down, God taught us many things about depending upon Him when things don’t go well and trusting in Him for everything.
People in the church have been sharing testimonies about what God has done in their lives and how He is working when they put their trust in Him. I was really happy watching them growing in the Lord. Their testimonies are really encouraging me to do more for God. It’s also building my faith and teaching me to lean on Him (God).
I want to share a few of the testimonies in this newsletter, so that they may encourage you to keep praying for us and for the ministry.
Brother Arthur*: He was suffering for many months with kidney stones, and was becoming very weak. I saw him crying and struggling with extreme pain. I shared in the monthly prayer requests to please pray for him and we were praying for him too. The doctors suggested to him to have surgery to get the stones removed, but our God is powerful and heals.
Brother Arthur was worried about his kidney stones, but he still trusted God would do something in his life. It is going very well. They are really excited to know God from His Word. We are also teaching them inductive Bible study, so that they can easily divide and understand God’s Word rightly. Even when they are at home, they are studying the Bible using the IBS (Inductive Bible Study) method.
We have now moved to a new place where we will start a Bible school/college. This month we hosted a meeting for pastors from different denominations to introduce our Bible school/college. We got good responses from the pastors and prayed together over the work that we are doing here. I really praise God that we received encouragement from local pastors. In February, we are going to start classes. Right now our team is preparing for the school. Brother Andrew* is working alongside me in teaching and helping with the Bible school/college.
New church plant For many years, many pastors came to serve in a particular area, but no one was able to continue with what they had started. For many years, I watched pastors come and start ministry there and then suddenly leave. I do not know why. I always wondered, “Why is this happening?” This place is my home town. Now, God has opened a door for me to start a Bible study to reach this area. The total population of this area is 67,271. In the place we are working in, there are 800 people. This area has some historical Hindu temples and also a big hill covered with very big rocks on it. There are many temples on these rocks. A lot of people, from other areas, come to worship these rocks and idols. There is a lot of idolatry in this area. The town has nine mountains around it. I have been living in the area for 12 years but there is still no church today. From (undisclosed) city it is a 3-4 hour drive.
During this November, we started a Bible study. We now have 11 people who are coming to the Bible study. We are really excited about how God is going to work in this area to break the idolatry and traditions of men. We need your prayers to continue the work that God has already started. We want to see people worshiping the true Living God, instead of worshiping rocks and trees. In this area many young adults are addicted to alcohol and smoking. There are raging women, people stealing and fights. Some people have been kicked out of their families because of their addictions. They need Jesus. Their lives need to be transformed. We want to see them experiencing the love of God so that they can love one another.
I have been meditating on the Word of God from Romans 13:8-10. I got stuck in the words “Love your Neighbor”. It encouraged me to reach those young adults so that they could experience the love of God and love their neighbors. The work has already begun. One of our team members, Brother Punkaj*, has been discipled by and serving in our Calvary Chapel church for 4 years. He is a Bible college student who studied at our Southern and Northern campuses. He’s serving there in Ardim*. I go once a week to encourage and work along side him until he is ready to take over the ministry there. Please pray for him and the ministry in Ardim*.
We still have 4 different locations where we hope to start up churches, but need workers. The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. Pray that God would lead His servants to take over the ministry in those areas.
New Church Plants We planted our main church in 2015
East Almir*- praying for workers
Ardim* - work started (170 km from city)
Negal*- praying for workers
Kenosh* -praying for workers.(30 kms from city)
Jaga* - praying for workers. Because of the lock-down, we haven’t been able to meet together with our church family. So this month, we visited and had a Bible study in their homes. It is really a blessing and encouraging. More than 250 families attend the church I grew up in. I got to teach the Word of God there and I was able to share my testimony about how God lifted me up and is using me as His servant. I was a person who knew nothing and always clammed up. I was amazed by the teaching and the people’s pure heart in serving the Lord.
I wished that we could have a Bible school, in our city also, to teach God’s Word and how to rightly divide the Word of God. I experienced God’s love and His heart and His purpose through the Word of God. If God could change my heart and start to work through me, He will surely do it in every person who hears this type of teaching. I have been praying for this for 4 years.
God has opened doors this year to work on it and start in 2021. We are going to have Bible classes teaching verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book.
We found a good house where we can start a Bible school and a new church plant. Not only was I taught, but also the Holy Spirit helped me to follow the good doctrine. Henceforth, the Lord has steadily appointed me to instruct these things to the brethren. Nevertheless, the sheep aren’t mine but Jesus’s. This has become my first priority- to feed the sheep of Jesus with healthy pasture.
In the month of December, we distributed mosquito nets in the nearby slums. The Lord helped us to reach the people there and share about His love for them. One of the students of CCBC, in the South joined the outreach. Most of the houses of the unbelievers there have now had Christmas carols played in them! The people there were happy and asked us to pray for their families. We then gave them gifts of calendars for the new year. We could see joy in their faces as they felt that they are cared for and loved by Jesus Christ. The Lord has put it in our hearts to start a Bible study in some of the houses and we pray that it should be done as God wills. Many doors have been opened for us to have fellowship with the unbelievers.
We also organized a before Christmas outreach in our community, where we got a chance to love and care for the community and express the love of Jesus Christ. People were eager to hear the testimony of Jesus and His living Word. Members of the church actively joined hands in cooking and arranging everything. It was altogether heartwarming to see everyone in “one accord” by being Christ-centered.
As soon as the program was completed, we traveled to a student’s village (from the Bible college in the South). We were happy to be invited and, in fact, forever grateful for this opportunity. It took 14 hours of travel by bus to get to the remote tribal village in the central part of the country. Despite active persecution in that area, (a pastor got killed 2 years ago because he came here to preach the Gospel and was building a church), we were even more spiritually encouraged and strengthened by seeing their uncompromising faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are so glad to have brother Andrew* who has recently completed his 1st semester of the Pastor’s School in the North.
Movie night was planned on Christmas Eve. Church members got the opportunity to watch the movie “The Birth of Jesus” which was followed by a candlelight service. Jesus is the Light of the world. He not only proclaimed Himself as the Light but also shared the light. After preaching about the importance of light, we encouraged our church believers to be as the light which shines in the darkness and explained to them that the darkness cannot overcome it.
Christmas service was delightful as some believers traveled from far away to celebrate with us. As the temperatures continue to fall, we decided to bless the homeless (who sleep at the bus stations) with blankets. We, ourselves, were blessed to see the needy receiving the blankets.
Thank you for supporting us to share the Good News of joy.
Prayer Points: Please pray that we will be able to rent/buy suitable land, so that we can have our own place to worship. Please pray for us to reach more unbelievers in our community. Please pray for our brothers from our church as they will go back to their respective Bible colleges to be more equipped in the knowledge of the Word of God. We worshipped together with thankful hearts for what God’s Spirit has come to do in our midst since the beginning of our gatherings. During our anniversary celebration, families that we frequently visit in their homes during our local outreaches attended- which means they came to hear our testimonies of what the Lord has done and what we are all about: JESUS! Because our fellowship has been maturing, thanks to the many prayer partners we have who continue to bless us with support, our community has been hearing more and more testimonials of people being transformed by Jesus Christ. We are building a reputation reflecting the goodness of God through His Word, His works and His Way.
We have many brothers and sisters actively pursuing spiritual growth in Bible studies and through our worship services who experience abuse, persecution and violence at times from their unbelieving families or spouses. One of our sisters was actually in our worship service when family members came and beat her up - eventually dragging her out. She has not given up on Jesus. Another sister from out-of-state is isolated in our cultural community. She finds strength in God by gathering with local believers. Although her husband often forbids her to come and at times physically tortures her, she attends whenever she can. We have an entire congregation of believers willing to grow through and endure with joy the loneliness of being the only Christian in their family, and for the consequences that have followed for choosing Jesus publicly.
One man who has recently joined us was so broken-hearted because his wife had an affair that he became suicidal.

Bringing the Powerful Message of Grace
Jesus is stirring and shaking things up in a good way throughout our fellowship and community! These kits included: pens, pencils, rulers, erasers, sharpeners and some chocolate treats. We wanted to encourage the students that we know to do their very best. We had an amazing opportunity to share the Good News and Jesus, as the friend of sinners, to these students through songs and stories. Additionally, we prayed as a church for all of the students.
Our outreaches from February through March included going into government run programs that help children and youth who have been sexually trafficked. As we move by faith into serving our city, we often get opportunities for social work and worship. In my country, currently, Christians are not openly welcomed in many places that are run by the government. But the favor of God has been on us as we go boldly into any venue as the Holy Spirit leads.
Our ministry team also reached a large Catholic community and was welcomed to preach, teach and lead worship amongst the people in that colony.
Whenever we reach out, the feedback we continually receive is that people are feeling very encouraged, set free, and connected to God. We are so thankful that Jesus continues to send us out and open doors where we can be Salt and Light.
An interesting aspect of our native culture is an extreme affinity for movies and cinema entertainment. In this nation, celebrities are elevated above idols, and many times they are literally worshipped as gods. Actors and actresses alike have shrines and temples all over my country dedicated to praying to them as deities. People are fanatical about movie-going, and they experience addictive habits.
Sometimes Jesus asks us to redeem parts of our culture that would otherwise be used as a stronghold of the enemy. In our fellowship, we have cultivated a family atmosphere through “Movie Night.” Many pastors would go so far as to preach against all forms of movie entertainment or film watching. However, I decided to use this to my advantage and bring the people in to fellowship and be encouraged.
Every month we set a date on our calendar for Movie Night, as a church. We watch amazing films and movies about missionaries, Jesus, and other stories from the Bible! We serve snacks like popcorn, samosas and chips plus soft drinks. We project the video on our church wall and gather together to be inspired and entertained. The believers learn so much through these visuals, and they have been blessed by having occasions to be together for wholesome entertainment.
Please pray that Jesus will saturate every area of our lives as we continue to surrender to His Lordship.
Thank you, as always, for your care and concern for the saints of our country. We know that the prayers of the saints avail much!
Special Property Update: In our previous updates, we touched on the fact that our fellowship is multiplying. The increase in the number of households attending our Bible Studies and worship services has not only outgrown our physical space, but we also now need a morning and evening Sunday worship service and more house visits to keep up with all the needs of the believers.
We began praying and asking the Lord what to do, given our current situation!
As we have been praying, we were approached by an older woman selling her property. She wants us to purchase her plot of land at half price. We verified with a reliable real estate agent that her offer is legitimate and that she is really selling it at half price of the market value. It’s amazing!
We have continued to pray and believe it is a part of God’s plan to expand. The property we are hoping to buy is very close to our existing location, and it would not disrupt or hinder the believers from continuing to attend services.
The property includes a spacious yard and a 3-room building/home that could be renovated to remove some walls in order to have a larger meeting hall, with bathrooms and kitchen access. Some roof repair may be required. The total amount of land is nearly 2000 sq. feet.
Our current meeting room is located on a rooftop and is approximately 12’ by 12’. The combined number of believers currently coming to our services is consistently 50 or more. We do not have space to put up chairs for every person, so the people crowd in and sit on mats. More people spill out into the stairway to listen. Our people would be so blessed to have a church home where we could all gather together as a family to worship Jesus. So, what would it cost for our fellowship to expand? Right now, we have estimated $60,000 for the purchasing of this property. We have already received donations from local believers totaling $7,123.
We are sharing this update to have everyone who loves us to pray into this endeavor, and to make our need known.
This is not merely a church project. In fact, we believe strongly that it is more than a project, it is God’s ongoing plan here in our country for more revival.
Thank you so much for keeping up with the Lord’s work in us and through us.
In His Love,
Pastor 6*
*Names have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor6/pastor6/2019/04/22/reaching-out-to-our-community-and-beyond/

Jesus is stirring and shaking things up in a good way throughout our fellowship and community! How did we get this far so fast? We have truly been experiencing an acceleration of God’s Spirit moving here at our church.
During the Christmas season, we were really able to go all out in community outreach – and many unbelievers were completely open to us visiting their homes to sing songs and pray. As a result of our enormous efforts to visit as many homes as possible before Christmas day, our service on Christmas Day was overflowing, and so many newcomers came to hear God’s Word!
We experienced a movement of people hearing about Jesus and the real meaning of why we celebrate Christmas for the first time. Now, we cannot accommodate all of the newcomers in our worship place. As a result, we now hold a Sunday morning worship service and a Sunday evening service just to serve everyone who wants to come!
Our congregation has been so excited, and that led to us sprucing up our meeting room with a new coat of paint. In our excitement, our ministry team went out on New Year’s Eve riding around the city on motorcycle and shouting to people: “JESUS LOVES YOU!” We currently have the enormous blessing of having 3 brothers from our ministry team enrolled at our church. It is our vision to have men equipped with God’s Word who can expand and encourage the current vision we have in our colony and beyond.
We are witnessing miracles of people’s eyes being opened to the Truth and responding to God’s love with repentance.
Our fellowship has been blessed with a group of special needs children and youth who just love to attend our worship and hang around us. In our spare time, we encourage these families and truly show a genuine love and interest for their children. We do not feel that their special needs children are a burden or that they cannot be a part of our church family. Instead, loving these children has led to their parents coming to know Jesus!
One of these special needs children recently went missing. It was the church who responded, and we searched nearly 24 hours for the missing boy. We finally found him at a train station. He had gotten lost. His mother had no idea that her son was so loved and cared for by our church; this moved her beyond tears, and she has started coming to worship service. She testified that she now understands the love of God to go after the lost! We are also reaching out to the students in our neighborhoods by distributing school supplies and inviting them to come hang out and worship.
As of right now, God is leading us to remain within house walls as a movement that mainly meets in people’s homes. This has allowed us to grow tremendously in numbers without attracting anti-Christian attention to our gatherings. However, we are praying for God to make a way for us to acquire our own land on which a home can be built that would function as both a fellowship hall and ministry dormitory for the pastor and ministers in training. We would love to see what God has in store for us as we see many more people turning to Christ.
Please pray for: 1.) The three young men currently studying at our church to be blessed, encouraged and equipped with a vision to return to our city to pioneer more campuses.
2.) An increase in workers for the ministry to help our pastoral team.
3.) The believers to mature and understand their identity in Christ.
4.) Newcomers to have encounters with the Truth and to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
5.) God’s timing and provision for church expansion.
6.) The health of our pastor and ministry team, as always.
7.) Divine protection from evil.
We have so many other stories we wish we could share. We are so thankful for your prayer support and the recently donated chairs! We give God all the glory and bless His holy name. God bless you all and thank you once again! I am convinced that through our combined prayers – you praying for us, and us praying for our local body – that God is on the move in love and in power here.
It is so exciting to see an outpouring of boldness upon the saints here currently, like never before. In addition to growing in love with God’s Word, our fellowship is experiencing so much revelation about the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
For the first time ever, in addition to our small ministry team, a few of the men here joined us in a Gospel sharing adventure to a nearby village. I am so happy when the believers begin to step up and step out for evangelism. So many times, people think that “doing church” is the pastor’s job. I am convinced that discipling the believers at our church to know the Great Commandment and Great Commission is the key to them contributing their spiritual gifts, talents, time, witness and resources to our church growth. We desire to all mature in love, not just knowledge. Because I want the believers to grow, I open up and invite people to move in faith and serve. I try to keep it simple: Love God, Love People. Those are the words I choose to model for the saints here.
I am satisfied as a pastor when I see the people at my fellowship get excited about God and experience personal transformation in their lives. One of our brothers here is naturally shy and reserved, and he has a terrible fear of speaking in a group – however, through the Holy Spirit giving him bold faith that he could not contain, he recently started singing praises loudly and sharing his testimony in front of the whole church. He cried out about the faithfulness of God. This really touched my heart. This same man is now a fiery evangelist and is witnessing to his entire family faithfully.
This excitement in prayer has spread into our neighborhood, and the unbelievers of our colony are coming into our church with prayer requests. When we pray with them in the name of Jesus, they are also coming to know Him and are seeing their prayers answered. They are being amazed by the power of our God. Our worship in this place is literally transforming our neighborhood. We have a neighbor whom we will just refer to as “Uncle R*” – he has been very angry, and very aggressive toward our fellowship since we first began. He has entered into our services at times, threatening violence and demanding we stop worshipping. He lives next door and is a notorious drunk who beats his wife. Nevertheless, we have been firm in continuing worship, and we even visit him and offer prayers, or invite him to our agape feasts for a free lunch. We never paid him back with rudeness or revenge. Normally, Uncle R would respond negatively and threaten us more. We have been devoted to praying for Uncle R. Recently, Uncle R started visiting with us in front of our church – and now he has expressed happiness and approval for our upcoming Christmas program which we will do on the street, right in front of his house! He opened up to us, allowing us to pray with him. Since all of this, he has a job now, and has been drinking considerably less and is much kinder to his wife. We cannot wait until Uncle R decides to join us in worshipping the One True God.
Thank you for staying up to date with our progress here at our church! We have experienced major changes and transitions. There is more growth on the horizon.
Our season has been marked with sending out loved ones, and receiving new believers into our growing family in Christ.
The recent two major changes to our ministry team dynamic involved sending brother Andrew* off to join CCBC (Calvary Chapel Bible College) for his first semester at Bible college and sending off our American missionary sister with honor to her home in California after more than 3 years of foundational, administrative and church planting work here with us.
Brother Andrew has spent one year alongside our ministry team learning, growing and actively pursuing Jesus; he had built a wonderful rapport with our fellowship’s families and other local missionaries for his work in teaching children, encouraging the saints and leading praise & worship at our outreach events. We prayed and decided he was a perfect candidate for Bible college and that he was really ready! I was able to visit brother Andrew after a month at the CCBC campus – he is doing incredibly well and that makes me very happy.
When I visited the Bible college, I enjoyed the fellowship. I was also able to share my testimony and prayer requests with my friends and leaders.
Our American missionary was given two traditional honoring ceremonies from our church family and also our local YWAM family. The saints, whose lives she touched, shared stories and testimonies about how she had led them to the Lord, or counseled them with wisdom. They shared especially about how she loved God and loved people. We miss her very much and we pray one day she’ll return to us soon. We send her out with our blessing and prayers, as she transitions into a season of taking care of her father.
With all these changes, came unexpected growth, as well! Namely, more people joining our fellowship and more locations being offered as start-ups for our church to expand within our city.
First of all, our city is huge with a fluctuating population of more than 10 million residents (sometimes up to 15 million). MILLIONS of people call my city their home – without traffic it can take nearly 2 hours to travel across town by car, from end to end. God has definitely given us favor! We have seen fruit at two different outreach locations where we are exploring planting new church fellowships.
One such campus, already has a vacant home and small property! This was readily provided to us by Brother Arthur* who is part of our fellowship. He offered to let us use the house for ministry purposes. Immediately, we began evangelism in that area. This area is about 45 minutes from our existing church fellowship. It has a different demographic of people as well.
My main concern, as a pastor, is not being able to re-locate our already existing and growing fellowship. Difficulties include the cost of transportation, distance, traffic and the general preference of believers to want to attend church in their own colonies. For that reason, I’m slowly developing the far away campuses. I am hoping for God to equip & send leaders from the Bible College or raise up men from within our church to help those areas grow in the future.
My other main concern is we have physically outgrown our church as it is now (gathering on a house rooftop). I have been searching and praying for a property or building to rent or buy that can be used for church purposes. Financially, we are not in a position at a local level to do this immediately. Legally, many challenges arise in getting a space specifically for a church, because of anti-Christian politics. It is a burden on my heart to see the day come when our church (in this colony) has its own structure for gathering the saints to study, worship and pray.
We are experiencing major favor amongst Catholic believers who are hungry for God’s Word. A family of 10 recently joined us. They have come seeking Truth. They are weary of their superstitious traditions and the guilt-burdens they carry because of knowing about God, rather than knowing God directly through Jesus.
Additionally, the believers are experiencing personal growth! In the absence of brother Andrew and our American sister, three men from our church have come under my wings for spiritual development and to help with outreach. Brother Arthur has been especially helpful to me. His desire to learn the Bible, lead his family, and serve has really touched my heart. He has consistently amazed me with his kindness. He even comes to my home to cook, spend time in the Word, and make sure I’m doing okay as a bachelor. Because of his example, other men are stepping up on many more occasions and volunteering for more ministry opportunities.
I praise God that I was able to save up and buy a little 2003 Suzuki car for $500! I am now driving it on rainy days, instead of the motorcycle. I can also take the brothers along with me to outreaches at the two new campus areas. It is my very first car. I feel so thankful and happy!
In all these changes, I can see that God is so good. We continue to trust Him and fully rely on His provision and direction by His Word and Spirit. That He may make Himself gloriously known in our church as the One True God.
Urgent Prayer Requests: - Pray for the Catholic families who are joining us to experience grace and truth
- Pray for our evangelism efforts in the two new areas to yield souls getting saved and start-up campuses
- Pray for God to send trained men to help pioneer the new campuses for church planting at the right time
- Pray for a way and place for our church to have a building/property of its own with room for all the believers to attend
-Pray for brother Andrew as he studies at CCBC to be transformed, equipped and clearly called for the ministry
- Pray for me to stay physically healthy, as I’ve been sick frequently. I also need to get into fitness and lose weight.
- Pray for me to stay encouraged and uplifted in the absence of my ministry partners
- We need 20 chairs in our church.
Please pray that God provides.
Thank you so much for partnering your prayers with us and reading our updates!
Blessings in Him,
Pastor 6*
*Names have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor6/pastor6/2018/11/01/more-believers-than-seats/

Our church greets you all with love in our Lord Jesus! Glory to God!
I would like to highlight just some of my favorite moments from the ministry this month. I hope that you are encouraged and stirred to more good works in your area of the world through our testimonies and witness. Please keep us in your prayers always! Thank you for taking time to read my stories from CC (my country).
Gospel Meetings and Close Encounters A three-day adventure on a Gospel crusade into the villages on the outskirts of my city led me to a very scary, but funny, situation.
First of all, I was a humble guest of an evangelist who had set up open-air preaching dates and times. I was accompanying the team as the worship leader. I often take opportunities as an itinerant worship leader to raise a little support for the local outreach efforts of our church.
We saw many decisions for Christ, and we prayed for many hours with the villagers.
Word Better Than Worship Two miracles happened on this crusade. In the beginning, I was only given one session to preach the Gospel; however, after hearing the teaching style I used, Calvary Chapel style, the evangelist insisted that I teach an additional 4 more sessions to proclaim the Word. Actually, the evangelist ended up saying to me that my teaching was better than my worship! I laughed and said “thank you.” I hope it was a compliment.
A Sneaky Snake The second miracle was the hand of the LORD upon me to rescue me. I was sitting casually enjoying a big, delicious plate of chicken curry and rice. A group of us were outside sitting in plastic chairs eating our lunches, and I was not paying much attention to anything except the tasty food. I noticed the feeling of a dog’s tail swiping against my foot. It is not at all unusual for stray dogs to lounge around us underfoot, especially when we are having chicken for lunch. I just assumed that my chair was providing shade for some scrappy dog who was happily wagging his tail and waiting for me to drop a bone. In my mind, the dog’s tail was tickling my foot – until I noticed my neighbor stiffened up and wide-eyed, staring down. He slowly and carefully retracted his feet up and away from the ground. I decided to inspect what was alarming him and interrupting our lunch…
…the “dog’s tail” was a cobra! A cobra was slithering across my ankles and feet. It was swaying around and ready to attack.
In case you don’t know, cobras are common to my country, and a very deadly species known as a King Cobra is what I was up against.
My reaction was simply to lift my legs up slowly and I felt very scared, but I didn’t dare flinch. The people around me told me not to move, so I didn’t move. I was just stuck. The cobra slowly retreated and met his demise when a man with a big stick smashed its head.
Praise God I didn’t die young eating my chicken lunch. We all had a good laugh and praised the Lord.
People witnessed that the snake didn’t attack me, and they were saying, “God didn’t give that snake permission to bite you!”
Helping People Grow in Faith & Business One of our families has been struggling since we met them many years ago. The husband is absent, the wife is emotionally broken and complains of knee pain as her excuse not to work. The eldest son is partially paralyzed on one side of his body from an accident. We have had to work patiently and consistently by way of prayer and helping with transportation to doctors’ appointments and groceries and holding prayer meetings in their small home. The family’s situation was incredibly challenging. We also had taught them how occupying our minds and working with our hands to serve others is beneficial and part of the new life in Christ. Then, we decided to put a plan into action.
Our church decided to not give the family any cash, because they were not wise enough on their own yet to faithfully steward money freely given to them, but we did decide to buy wholesale food provisions, and helped them to open up a small shop from within their own home. Here in our city, it is not uncommon for people to set up snack points, tea houses, and small convenience shops right in the front room of their house. We decided if we supplied the basics, held the family accountable to work from home, and taught them budgeting and money management, we could encourage them and empower them. The response was incredibly powerful, and the woman and her son are working hard and feeling a new sense of hope. We can see that they are growing in their understanding of the Word and receiving more faith that the LORD does in fact provide – and we also have our parts to play.
Please pray for this family to get back up on their feet, trust Jesus and stay plugged into our fellowship and grow more!
Helping Hands We have a HUGE praise report and answer to prayer. Finally, we have a team of volunteers from within our fellowship stepping forward to serve the Lord. Up until this point, I have been tirelessly setting up the church, cleaning the church, and even washing all the dishes and picking up the trash after church lunches for years. In fact, even when we asked people to sign up to help, they would manage to find an excuse and escape. I often felt embarrassed that it was unbelievers stepping up to volunteer to help me and not our church members. But my example and devotion has paid off, and I now have a team that I am training every Saturday to help me on Sundays with set up, tear down and clean up.
Please pray that our servant team would mature and be greatly satisfied in serving the Lord in our fellowship. If God would grow any number of these saints to join our ministry team one day, that would be awesome!
An Open House and Open Hearts One of our brothers in the fellowship had the brilliant idea to host a meal at his home and conduct a prayer meeting – but his aim was to invite all his unbelieving neighbors. Over 25 people came and enjoyed eating with us and joined in worship and listened to the Word of God. Everyone concluded to pray together, in Jesus’ name. We were so impressed with this brother’s heart to open up his home and cook a wonderful chicken meal and just love people. The neighbors enjoyed his hospitality and said they would like to visit our Sunday worship service to hear more. It was good for me to see old friends and make new friends too. My time at CCBC was fun and helped me to be encouraged and equipped. One week under good teaching and much prayer was like fuel for me to come back to my city with fresh vision and strength.
Personally, I am extra happy to share about what Jesus has done this month through our Calvary Chapel fellowship. We were able to distribute Bibles in our native languages to not only each household, but each individual who attends our church. Thank you to each and everyone who makes it possible to resource the new believers here!
And not only Bibles, but with the Bibles, toothbrushes were given to the children of these families. We emphasized that the Word cleanses our souls, and the toothbrushes are symbolic of daily hygiene – which if we do properly helps us our whole lives long.
Additionally, this month I had the privilege of conducting a Bible Overview session at a missionary training center
in my city. I have partnered as a volunteer with this ministry that focuses on a Discipleship Training School for Youth. Twice weekly I attend their morning sessions to lead praise & worship.
My ministry team is small, but God is using us in mighty ways to reach urban youth and college students this season. We are growing in our university campus outreach by implementing a weekly visit to evangelize nearby colleges and establish cell groups (Bible study life groups) amongst the students who are open. Our campus ministry efforts include 8 students open to learning more about Jesus. The priority in our outreach is to share the Gospel and encourage by God’s Word a population of India at risk for suicide. Current statistics show that one student every hour in India is ending his/her life. We don’t want to be a church that sits back and does nothing about the problem. Hell is real and Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost. This is our heart as a ministry team going into universities here, even though there is opposition to our presence. The students have our phone numbers, and we assure them we are always a text message or phone call away.
Within our small body of believers, we have been so encouraged by a brother named Arthur* who comes from a Catholic background. He came to our fellowship through his friend who has been with us from the beginning of our church plant. In visiting our Calvary Chapel church, Arthur noticed many differences between the church he was raised in and our fellowship; we teach the Word straight out of the Bible simply, we are like a family, and there is so much grace. Arthur tasted the goodness of God’s love and decided to shift his entire household out of Catholicism and come to our fellowship regularly! When this happened, the local priest threatened Arthur and demanded that his family continue to tithe to their parish. The priest was so angry and created many challenges for Arthur’s family including kicking his young son out of the Catholic school and taking extortion money upwards of $150 for releasing his school transcripts. Arthur was faithful to pray, forgive and not go back! He wants his family to know Jesus, not religion. We prayed for them and his son got placed in one of the best schools for FREE, and his wife got a NEW JOB in a military office with enormous discounts and benefits. Arthur is leading his family in daily devotions simply reading the Bible!
The most amazing thing about enduring trials and facing temptations is the feeling of victory that only Jesus can bring!
Because of brother Arthur’s struggle, he is a humble and hardworking believer who loves to volunteer for anything our fellowship may need. He is an artist by trade and painted our Calvary Chapel logo for our church!
Please keep us in your prayers as the Lord continues to do a good work in us and through us here in our country!
Here are my prayer points:
- The believers here have finally expressed an interest in serving the Lord. Pray that they grow in being helping hands and learn about being servants of God.
- My ministry team is myself and one other brother. Currently we do all of the teaching, house visits, evangelism and outreach. We need your prayers for our health, provision and to not become discouraged.
- I need continuous wisdom from God to continue leading His church.
- I need more fellowship with my brothers at CCBC and ongoing accountability and training so I can be steadfast in teaching God’s Word.
- We are searching for a new building in our area where we can expand our fellowship; living in our city is very expensive compared to villages, and we need to trust the Lord for finding a place.
Thank you always!
Blessings,
Pastor 6*
*Names have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor6/pastor6/2018/07/22/god-is-mercifully-using-us-mightily/

Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

June was another jam-packed month of adventures with Jesus!

Our God is really an awesome GOD!

June was special for me because I was able to visit and attend a training conference at CC training center which is still fairly new. We believe, absolutely, that in your prayers there is power partnering with us and God is answering!
Jesus is teaching us to love the people right where they are, especially our Hindu neighbors. Neighboring our fellowship hall (a small house rooftop) are many families who oftentimes stop by and sit in on our services. We have been diligent in visiting their homes too and offering prayers over the last few years. Whoever receives us, we let our blessing stand.
Over time, whenever we have announced the monthly Agape Feast or other special occasions where our church serves a simple lunch, we began to be blessed by our Hindu neighbors volunteering to help clean, cook and serve! Obviously, God has been at work in their hearts to see us favorably and desire to join our services without opposing us or stirring up trouble.
One particular family we visited at Christmastime welcomed us warmly and served us chai and snacks. During that visit we were able to share the meaning of Christmas, the birth of our Savior Lord Jesus, and of course, of His crucifixion and resurrection. They were a captive audience and very respectful in receiving our message of Good News. A seed was sown.
That seed has fallen on good soil, glory be to God alone, and in the month of March, the wife and children of the family really opened up in interest to know more about Jesus. This particular woman came and cooked for our Agape Feast, along with her mother-in-law, and we felt God lead us to honor them and love them. At the end of our worship service, we thanked them openly before the congregation and presented them an award: a Holy Bible all their own and a ‘promise card’ of a beautiful Scripture on decorative paper for them to display at home.
Not only did this recognize our willingness to welcome all people into our worship services, but it set the bar for our brothers and sisters to love the people who come to our church no matter what their current spiritual standing is.
Our little flock is growing in cultivating a heart for fervent prayer: every Friday night we have prayer night. We gather in one home and we pray for our colony, our state, our nation and for our families. During prayer nights, Hindu neighbors within that house complex, also come and sit in and observe and put in their prayer requests.
Again, we are allowing people to just come and hear Truth, encounter Jesus, and ask questions. We really feel that it is God’s Living Spirit drawing people in, and we never want to turn seekers away.
For fun, we enjoyed some church family time by having a Movie Night. We watched a Telugu Christian film called “Identity” and ate treats, goodies and snacks together. Everybody had fun and they requested that we do it again.
One of the highlights of our month was honoring a sister from Calvary Chapel in California who has been here since the beginning of our church plant. She’s been helpful from the very beginning in encouragement and praying (even before the church had any walls and was just sticks and a tarp), supporting financially in many projects, visiting the people in their homes, medical ministry, women’s ministry and leading worship. She’s been with us in good and rough times serving in India by our side. She bears the extreme climate, the very spicy food, and does her best to learn our languages and customs to connect people’s hearts to Jesus through her love.
The people of our church love her so much and although she was in a different area of the city on her birthday in March, the whole congregation decided to end Sunday worship service by taking a video of everyone singing “happy birthday” to her and sending her many text messages expressing their love. At this meeting, pastors from all over my city of different backgrounds came together for one common desire: to persevere in the good fight of faith and encourage each other in the Word of God. I’m very young in the demographic of pastors, as I’m under 30 years old, and many attendees were 50+ years old. After an evening of fellowship, I was riding back in the night to my home. On the way, along the road, I saw a dark form curled up and wrinkled around a fire. I felt so confident that I was supposed to stop and check. I stopped, along with my friend, and we found an old man sleeping in the dirt next to red hot coals. We woke him up and found out that he was from far away out of state and had an injured leg and was unable to work or get around. We scooped him up on to our motorcycle and rode with him to a nearby missions base where we have friends. I had a genuine love in my heart for this wayward old man in his condition and situation. The Calvary Chapel team and our local missionary friends fed him a hot meal, listened to his story, built a fire and shared Good News with him and prayed over him. He was offered a place to sleep for the night and then we were able to connect him to a mercy ministry that had space for him.
I am always in awe when I see the reality of My Jesus stopping for the one. He truly does leave the 99 for the one. I have seen and experienced it.
Please keep our church in your prayers. January was a very active month with Bible studies, village and urban outreaches, worship services, and lots of Good News. We would love to share some of our highlights with the global body of Christ and ask for some prayers, too!
In January, we started the first day of the year with all night praise and prayer. For New Year’s Eve, we gathered to pray into the New Year and celebrate the good things of God. I shared the Word and at midnight we sang praises to Jesus. In our culture, we have the custom as Christians to receive bookmarks with Scriptures and hold fast to God’s promises to us. Therefore, we passed out Bible verses on bookmarks to our fellowship. We focus on the fact that God’s Word is true.
In the month of January, I, along with my small ministry team, visited a village far from our city. That village also had a “prayer festival” which encouraged the local believers to fast and pray for the
first week of the New Year. I was invited to teach God’s Word and was also able to impart a message on the importance of having extraordinary faith in an all-day teaching session. Our Calvary Chapel team here felt so blessed to go and serve that village with Truth from the Bible.
Additionally, in January, our midweek Bible study concluded in the book of Philippians and we have now started the book of Colossians. Every Friday, we also gather the saints in the evenings to pray. Currently, these believers are learning about intercessory prayer as they pray for their nation, their city, their neighbors, and their families.
Our team also responds to emergency calls from people who are in the hospital or at home sick. In one case, I was called in December to go and pray for a young girl hospitalized with a chronic condition who underwent surgery. Desperate for a miracle, these unbelievers had heard about Pastor 6* from one of their relatives. The local Calvary Chapel team went to visit them in the hospital. This hospital visit resulted in an open door in January to visit them for follow up in their home. Jesus made it very clear that He was pursuing this family.
We traveled far across our city in the late evening, and even got lost
many times along the way, until we found ourselves in the living room of this Hindu family hungry to know about God. I shared the Good News and my own testimony of being born sick as a baby and the subsequent results of God having healed me and how later in life I realized that Jesus is the Savior. The Calvary Chapel team then laid hands on the family members and prayed for them. That family felt so blessed by the message and prayers, that they insisted on taking the team to their extended family’s home spontaneously.
That night, my team and I walked and prayed through a Muslim and Hindu stronghold and shared Good News to many unbelievers who gathered in to listen in these homes and ask for prayers for the sick. Sometimes people respond openly, and other times people mock or make threats. Regardless, I, and my team choose to love all of these people. What a wonderful time of outreach we experienced unexpectedly through that single house visit.
We also partnered with a local youth conference event aimed at drawing in teenagers and college students and I, along with my team, had the opportunity to lead the worship services.
In our city there’s a homeless outreach called “Street Church” where local missionaries host a feeding program – our team led the worship session out in a parking lot and released songs to Jesus in the open-air leading many hopeless, broken people into His praises. Our ministry here has a lot of musical talent and a worship anointing which God has us share with smaller venues around the city from time to time to build up the saints and stir up good works.
Currently, our ministry team is small but mighty as we follow God’s Word and let the Holy Spirit lead us in loving the lost and feeding the saints.
We thank you so much for partnering your faith with us through prayer. God bless you all richly!
Pastor 6*
Prayer Points:
A new building or plot of land to relocate and expand our fellowship hall as our congregation is growing. (We meet in a small enclosed rooftop as a house fellowship.) An additional ministry vehicle for our team as now we have one motorcycle and we live in a very big city. Pastor 6* needs his team members to mature and grow, and also additional full-time helpers to help serve alongside him in teaching and outreaches. (Ask God to send missionaries and teams to lend their gifts or raise up mature believers here to assist.) Continue to ask the Lord to grow the current believers in this fellowship especially in their understanding and application of God’s Word. We need more Bibles in English and our native dialect. A new sound system: we have our instruments and a few microphones but we are missing a soundboard/mixer. To raise funds for our ministry locally from the people in our own country. I’ve been praying for them.
Please pray for the believers to all come to church as some have stopped for various reasons.
Please pray for others to come alongside to co-labor with me in the ministry.
Thank you,
Pastor 6*
*Names have been changed or omitted for security reasons.
Here are pictures from our Christmas Day worship service at Calvary Chapel here in our country!

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor6/pastor6/2018/02/01/fruitful-home-visits-increasing-believers/

We are now going through the book of Acts every Sunday. Last week we finished the Letter of Paul to the Philippians. We did a lot of house visits this past month because people are scared to come to church, because their families don’t allow them. So we are visiting them at their houses. Love People.
Overflowing with Excitement We wanted to simply teach the Word, and teach the Word simply. It took nearly three years of pioneering until we had a consistent gathering of people to disciple and equip. By December 2017, God connected us to SGWM and we were rejoicing that our movement officially became part of Calvary Chapel!
Brick by brick, a baby fellowship hall was born, and the Presence of God began drawing people in. This winter, we experienced a movement of people hearing about Jesus and the real meaning of why we celebrate Christmas for the first time. Now, we do not have space to put up chairs for every person, so the people crowd in and sit on mats! Even more people spill onto the stairway to listen. In our excitement, our ministry team went out on New Year’s Eve riding around the city on motorcycles shouting to people: “JESUS LOVES YOU!” We currently have the enormous blessing of having three brothers from our ministry team enrolled at Calvary Chapel Bible College in our country.
