We could also hear some of their testimonies. God is working amazingly through them in the mission field.
On the last day of our family conference, we had a graduation program. Altogether 8 students graduated. We had immense joy receiving our special guest who shared from the Word of God and witnessed this event.
Last month, God helped me visit some of our graduates in another state to see their ministry. It was wonderful experience to visit the remote villages and see how God is working among the unreached communities there. We had a great youth meeting in one of the churches. God helped me encourage them through the Word of God and motivate them in God’s mission. As a result three young adults committed their lives to God’s ministry. He was born and brought up in a Hindu family. His father was demon possessed. Because of that, many times he used to go unconscious. The family members took him to the temple and to many sorceresses, but he did not get any relief.
One day, a Hindu man came to his home and told his family, “Some of my relatives went to a church for prayer and they are okay now.” The man suggested that they should also try going.
So listening to Hindu man’s words, they took their demon-possessed father and went to a church. They met the pastor and the pastor shared the Gospel of Jesus with them and prayed. By God’s grace his father was delivered completely! He was set a free from the evil bondage after having the problem for 4-years. Through this, the whole family accepted the Lord as their personal Savior. Since then they are believers. Now brother SD* has committed his life to God’s ministry.
In the month of July we started our new semester of CBI. By God’s grace, all the classes are going very well. This semester I am teaching the book of Exodus. Every week we take our students to do practical ministry where they are able to lead and share from Bible.
My daughter’s new school year has started. This year she is in 11th grade.
Prayer Requests:
Kindly pray for area that is affected by the flood. May God help them recover all that they have lost. In November there are elections in 5 states of our country. We are praying and hoping for a change in our government, so that believers may have the freedom to worship and to share their faith.
I was privileged to be invited to a Central Synergy Summit. We had a wonderful discussion about the growth and failures of missions in the central area of our country. I also led a session on challenges and solutions in the mission field in practical ways. We had very effective discussions. During the summit, I ran into a first fruit from my ministry, SA* (right). He is a wonderful man and is now doing ministry with his family. I also met three other friends (pictured below) who all are doing ministry in different parts of the central area of our country. I was so pleased to see them after such a long time.
In October, we completed our 3rd semester of CBI. Because of the election in our state, we are starting our 4th semester on November 20th. As a family we participate in all the church activities and visit families to testify about the Lord and pray for them. We also take the CBI students on home visitation as part of their practical training.
Prayer Requests:
Kindly pray for the upcoming election. May good leaders come to power, so that all of the believers may have freedom to worship and share about Jesus’ love. Please pray for SA* (a first fruit of my ministry) and the friends that I saw at the summit. Pray that God will use them effectively for His kingdom. Kindly pray for the growth of our church. We assure you of our prayers for you and your families. It is our prayer that God will keep you safe and in good health, and we pray that you will have many blessings. Praise be to His name!
In the month of August, God enabled us to conduct Holy Communion at our local church. I taught the word of God from Jude 1-2 verses, and I learned a lot from it. I went to one of our CCSG churches that is about 30 km away from my town. There, I was able to help them understand Word of God. One of the believers, came to me with tearful eyes; she shared some bitter opposition that she has been facing from her relatives. She was attending Sunday worship in her village, but her brother dragged her out of the church service and beat her very badly. Because of this, she decided to go to a place farther away to worship; so, now she is coming to our CCSG church. Still, she is threatened and beaten by her brother because she has received Jesus as her personal Savior and is attending church services regularly. However, she is so strong in her faith that she has been praying for her brother that someday he will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. I was so privileged to encourage this woman and pray for her.
In our Pastors School, classes have been taking place regularly; we appreciate all of the teachers for making the extra effort to train young men and women here. We are privileged to translate some of the Skye classes into our national language. Apart from the main subjects, we have also been teaching the students basic English. Our library is also a great asset for our students. One of our students is new to the Christian faith. We have counseled and motivated him personally to know more about Jesus Christ. Recently, we have sent him under his local pastor to get more familiar with the Bible and learn more about Jesus; after a year, he plans to continue his study in our Pastors School.
Prayer Requests: Please pray for the Pastors School to run smoothly here in South Asia. Presently, we have 24 students. Please pray for the growth of our CCSG church in town. Kindly pray for us to have our own building for the Pastors School, so that we will have enough space to accommodate more students. Our Pastors School students were a great help to us in unpacking and arranging our household things. My wife, became ill with a cough as a result of the dust, but, praise the Lord, she is fine now! Thank you so much for your financial support that helped my transportation go smoothly.
Our daughter also was admitted to a good school. She is enjoying the school. She has made many friends. We thought that she would take time to get adjusted, but she is doing fine.
In our family devotions, we are reading the book of Proverbs. Every day, we are challenged by the Word to walk closely with God. I was privileged to visit Pastor 8’s church, teach the Word, and also to baptize three of his church believers. We visited one of the Roman Catholic families in our colony, and God opened their hearts for God’s Word. This family wants to learn more from the Bible.
God is so faithful to us and is fulfilling our needs every day. Please pray for our family and ministry, that we will be the channel to spread the Good News of Jesus to many souls.
Please pray for the believers who have witnessed for Jesus Christ by being baptized. Please pray that they will be strengthened in their faith.
Please also pray for the Catholic family, that God will increase their faith.
Kindly pray for our country’s political situation, as elections have been going on. The results of the election will be declared soon. Please pray that God will give us a good leader.
Thank you for your support!
In Him,
Pastor 3* and Family
* Names have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor3/pastor3/2019/05/24/moving-for-ministry/

Greetings to you all in the matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
