We run house churches in three places. The churches are 10-20 km apart from one another, so it is difficult to all meet together in one place.
The people who got saved during the last few months decided to get baptized. By the grace of the Lord, everything went well.
My colleagues and I conduct Bible studies in different places during the week. We also host online Bible studies. The Lord is helping those who attend grow in His Word. Thank you for your prayers.
God’s Word says, “He who is faithful till the end will be saved”. There are many people who came to church regularly for a long time, but have now left the Lord and went into the world. I pray that they will one day return to the Lord.
My vision is to have a church in another district of our state. There are 13 districts in our state, in which we are serving in 3 districts. There are more than 18 hundred villages in these districts. 80% percent of these villages do not have any Christians.
There are 2 divisions in our state. We serve in one of them, but the other one is completely untouched.
There are some tribes in our state among whom we are working. We have learned their languages, I can speak almost all of the languages of these tribes. These include JS*, B*, R*, J*, S*, and T*. Some of these villages are situated near the highest mountains where it is difficult to go. There are not good roads there.
M* is another place near the high mountains. It has about 99 villages. We serve in some of these villages, but most of the villages are still not reached with the Gospel. Our vision is to reach all of these villages. There should be Christians in every village.
Similarly, there is J* which has 400 villages. Many people in our church are from this tribe, but we are still far from our target. We pray that doors from these places will open for us and that we can reach them too.
We have been visiting these places for several years. Now, by the grace of God, house churches are being run in some of the villages by local people. Our vision is that people from these places will come to know Christ and serve there. Every two or three months, we give some training to the people who serve there, so that they can do the work of the Lord well.
Prayer Requests:
The capital of our state is a very big hub for people. People from different parts of of our state live here. Pray that we can share the Word of God to each of them and people get saved! Pray for the places where we are serving. May God bring His glory to these places. Also pray for our vision to have a Christian church in every village. Pray for God to provide all of our needs. Pray for our jail ministry. May more people come to know about the living God and may He set them free from darkness. If anyone is interested in serving in jail ministry and wants to teach me and help, please contact me. Pray for a peace of land for our church so that we may have our own place where we may glorify God’s name. For a very long time, we have had church in a rented place. I see those who have newly joined in the Lord growing in the Word of God. They have love for the Lord and stand firm in their faith in every situation.
Every Sunday we are reading through the Book of Romans. In chapter 14 verse 1, it is written, “Take into your company the one who is weak in the faith.”
Because the church here is becoming stronger day by day, there are many people in the church whom the Lord has prepared through me. They are also doing the ministry of the Gospel along with their other work. Because of this, new people are coming to the church and are getting connected.
We are thinking of renting a room for the new fellowship that we have started. This would help the believers in that place not to have difficulty coming to church or have to travel far to go to church. We have found a church hall nearby in which no fellowship is going on. This week we will talk to the owner about renting it.
For several years I have been going to different districts to do ministry. The Lord has used me in those places. This was able to happen because there are many ministers ready in the church here who handle their responsibilities very faithfully in my absence. Last month I was able to go to the mountains for ministry twice. My vision in 2024 is to go to all the 13 districts where the Gospel of the Lord has not reached.
Prayer Requests:
We are having a Christmas program on December 17th in an area that is about 150km from the area I live. On December 18-20 we plan to do outreach ministry. We are planning to have a Christmas program with children in the slum. We are having a Christmas program with only those who come to faith from the mountain tribes and speak the mountain language on December 22. We are expecting more than 150 people. They keep coming to church. It is very difficult for them to come church because of their relatives and the pressure of the Hindu community. Some of them have a very difficult time; we are not even able to go and pray in their homes, but the Lord is helping them to grow in His love. He is slowly opening doors for them.
We are still doing fellowship in the same way we previously had fellowships, in three different places. There are seven to eight families who are ready to publicly show their commitment to follow Jesus. We are waiting for the right time for us to be able to hold that service.
We have also been conducting an online Bible study for a long time, in which about fifteen people participate. They are preparing for the ministry of the Gospel. By the grace of God, these people are growing in the Word of God. Keep remembering them in your prayers.
Outreach Ministry
In our state, there are more than sixteen thousand villages and thirteen districts. Until now, the Gospel has only reached 20% of the people. The remaining 80% are deprived of the Gospel. The Lord has given me the vision of church planting here. My heart is that the Word of God will reach every village and district. In these eight or nine years of ministry, we have reached more than five hundred villages in this area. The people call this area the “land of the gods”. You can imagine why we need to work hard and reach every single place. I cannot do this by myself. That is why we are training the local people, so that they can be useful vessels for sharing the Gospel.
A few months ago, we were able to go to visit my parents’ village with some of my fellow brothers. I told them to share the Gospel and pray with the people there. It was such an amazing experience! Many people were filled with God’s Word. He used them mightily. We were also able to show some of the villagers a Christian movie. The movie was in our local dialogue. The most beautiful thing was that we got to pray right in front of the Hindu temple.
Slum Children’s Ministry
We are continuing to go into some of the slums, where many children have been abandoned by our society, since they are poor and have a low standard of living. We go there with limited resources and try to educate the children. We show them a motivational video, draw with them, and have fun together. We hope to help them not feel about themselves like they are “garbage”. As God says, “you shall love your neighbors as yourself”.
Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for me to be used for the kingdom of God and to reach places where the Gospel of God has not reached.
2. Pray for the growth of the church, and that we will grow more in the Lord. Please also pray our church to be registered if it is God’s will.
3. Please pray for our outreach ministry and for those who come with me. Please pray for our protection and safety. We cannot drive easily because of the difficult roads.
4. Pray for our slum ministry, that the Word of God reaches the people and changes their lives.
5. Pray for our prison ministry. There are many prisoners who are innocent but are in prison. Pray for their release. Also pray for those who have heard the Word of God. Please keep me in your prayers.
Church Ministry
I have been teaching 2 Corinthians during Sunday services. God is blessing us greatly. It has been amazing to see how the believers are growing in God’s Word. Some of them are helping with ministry. God has opened many new avenues of ministry for us. We have shared the Gospel with many people. Some of them have begun coming to our church. Last month, two families gave their lives to the Lord!
There used to be only young adults and teens in our church. But lately, older people have also begun coming to church and giving their lives to Jesus. It is so encouraging for me to see their faith in God. Even though they do not know how to read the Word of God, they are so strong in their faith. Please keep them in your prayers. I am looking for audio Bibles for them so that they can hear the Word of God every day.
We have been having an online Bible Study for the last three years. Through this, God has been helping us grow in His Word. It gives all of us the opportunity to understand the Bible well. It is for one hour in the evenings. At the end, they also give ideas on how I can preach better. We did the Bible study with 10-12 people in the church. God is using them in an amazing way. We also hold a weekly Bible study on Wednesdays, going through the book of Exodus.
Please pray for our church. Please pray for God’s presence in the people’s hearts and for all of our needs to be met.
Prison Ministry
I was learning about Paul’s time in prison. Even when he was in jail, he spread the Gospel among those who were in Rome. God put it in my heart to visit the jail and share the Gospel there. But the question was how to accomplish it. I met some other people who were interested in jail ministry, so we made a plan to get permission from the government to go to the jail. We received permission to go there under the rules of the jail. It is a very sensitive place. So carefully, under their rules, we started to teach the inmates some education and social things–and of course the Good News. We are thinking of how we can only do Christian activities there, so we wrote a letter to the police commissioner.

Please keep this prison ministry in your prayers.
Evangelism
By the grace of God, I had the opportunity to visit some different places. We went where very few people think to go. The villages are in places where there has only been a way for transportation to get there for a few years. In some of the places, there is still no road. I wish to go and preach the Gospel of God in those places, and that people will be saved. The villages are very far from my home-town. It takes a whole day to reach the area. We have to travel on several hundred kilometers of unpaved roads. If you have a heart to preach the Gospel, then, with God, you can overcome any obstacle.
For many years, we have gone to these places so that we can have good relationships with the people. Because of this, we have become good friends with them, and people invite us to their homes as well. Years ago, we introduced ourselves as travelers because many people go to those places for trekking and hiking. We also shared the Gospel among the people. We got positive results from many people. We also had opportunities to pray for people who were possessed by evil spirits and God healed them.
In every village, you definitely find two or three temples. This gives you an idea of the darkness the villagers live in. I thank God that through this village visitation, more doors have been opened for us. Please pray that God strengthens us even more to go there, that He prepares the way for us to go there, and that He fulfills all of our needs to go there.
Please keep praying for these places and the people there!!!
Thank you so much for lifting us up in your prayers!
Pastor 12*
*Names and faces have been changed or omitted for security reasons.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor12/pastor12/2023/04/15/proclaiming-the-good-news/

Greetings from my country! By your prayers, God is doing a very good work through us here.
I evangelize not only in this city, but also in other districts. Many people listen to God’s Word and many also despise it. The so-called “religious freedom law” has come into effect in our state. The government has strengthened the law even more. If the person who gave the gift is found guilty, they would go to prison for up to 10 years. Day by day the Gospel in our state is getting harder to share, but I thank God that many people are coming to God even during this difficulty.
We are making new plans so that we can reach many people with the Gospel. We are preparing people from the church. We have an hour long Bible study every evening. Though this study, many people are being blessed. Many basic Bible teachings are being taught to them book-by-book.
I met some Christian social workers. They invited me to come with them to the prison and teach there. When I went there for the first time, I was very scared. People become very fearless after going to jail and it is very difficult to talk to them. But we teach them different games every time so that they concentrate better. I also teach them Christian songs. There are many people who are also trapped in being convicted wrongly and live in despair. We have a wonderful opportunity to encourage them with the voice of God and pray with them. Because of this, there are many prisoners who have started reading the Bible. We cannot take our phones in the jail, so we do not have any photos inside.
Prayer Requests: Pray for more people to join our Bible study and be blessed by it. Pray for the new people who come to the faith to grow in the Word of God and know deeply about the their Savior. Pray for our country. May God give the leaders here wisdom and knowledge so that everyone can know that He has salvation. Pray also for our prison ministry. May the inmates come to know the Lord better and dedicate their lives to Him. Also pray for the jailer’s heart to change so that he may know God too. Pray for the ministry here and also for all of the needs of the church. May God fulfill them so we can be more powerful witnesses for Him. Suddenly, a bull came running in the road and collided with my bike, but I didn’t hurt anything and I am safe. I am very grateful to all of you who pray for our ministry and stand behind us as prayer warriors. We need your prayers very much. Especially in these days because many churches are being persecuted by the people here. The largest part of our country is in the north where seventy percent of the population lives. The least amount of Christians are here. In many places Christians are working in small groups, but there are still many areas where the Gospel of God has not reached.
God has been growing His church here. People from different places are accepting the Lord. I get opportunities to preach in different areas of my state and for some people who have come in faith. Two or three times each month I have to travel 60-70 kilometers to share the Word. I am very accustomed to doing this. I know that the Lord will establish churches in more places in the future.
There are now 40-50 people in our church. Most of these people have been baptized. Currently when we fellowship, we have divided ourselves into three groups. We fellowship in different places during the week, because it is not possible to meet together. My landlady does not allow more people to gather in my room. Recently some churches nearby have been closed and many pastors have been put in jail. So, my landlady is very scared. So we gather in small groups. For a long time we have been praying that we would be able to have our own land and be able to register our church organization soon, because of the number of believers in our church.
We started an online Bible study during COVID. It continues to this day. Many people who can’t attend church or live far away have the opportunity to attend and get inspired by the Word of the Lord. Through this, many new young people also join and are blessed. One day of the week, the Bible study teaching has been given to Mrs. V who has been teaching from 1 Samuel. It has been really amazing for the young girls who are very blessed. God is preparing local people who will be involved in this ministry in the future.
Prayer Requests: That those who were baptized may grow in the grace of God. For the new believers to know God more and stand firmly in the Lord during the troubles that society gives. Some people are getting ready for baptism- may God lead us in the right timing, so that these people can be baptized. Pray for the churches of our country who are going through persecution and are being split up because of opponents. For our ministry that is going on in different houses. For the faith of the people to take root in God and be able to face adversaries. For us to be able to glorify God in other places of the North also. For church land and registration. That people can learn the Word of God deeply during our online Bible study. He also leads me to places where people are still infested with evil spirits and still in darkness. People are in despair, but I thank God for his living Word that frees them from this bondage. There are many curses in these places, even today; only the Word of God frees them from this curse. I am grateful to God that He takes me to places like these where I can tell people about the truth.
When I read about the ministry of Jesus Christ, I found that many people were possessed by evil spirits and Jesus freed them and they followed him. I came across a girl who was similar to these possessed people in the Bible. I want to tell about this girl who was very troubled by evil spirits because of her family’s curse. The girl’s grandfather practices sorcery. When she heard the Word of God, so many evil spirits started bothering her, but God redeemed her! Now she joins with us in Bible study every day. We see there how Paul was thankful to God for His faithfulness. This same word remains for our church–when I see God’s faithfulness in our church people, I am very happy and encouraged to see their faith in Christ. Our church is growing through the power of God, and many new people are also having fellowship with us. We have begun Bible study every evening; we have been studying the book of Matthew for about 6 months. As you know, we have been doing a fellowship in my bedroom, and there is not enough space for very many people. I am unable to invite more people to join our fellowship because we do not have enough space for everyone, so I go to people’s homes and visit them. We connect with those who live far from here through online Bible study and fellowship. These days, some Jehovah’s Witnesses people are also coming to the Lord–the Lord is great because He doesn’t keep his truth hidden from anyone, and wants all to be saved! I thank God that He has given me this opportunity to share with you about what God has been doing in my life. I would especially like to share with you about my Christmas . I am sorry that my update is late. Thank you so much for praying for my Christmas program. The Christmas program provided an opportunity for me to share the Gospel with the people who attended.
In our area, Christmas is the time when we can share the Word of God more openly. By God’s grace, our Christmas program this year went very well. When I think about past Christmas programs, I had to do everything for the program by myself. For example, I had to arrange and plan everything, do all the preparations for the program, cook the Christmas dinner, etc. I used to pray that someday I would have other people come alongside me and help me, so that we could divide the work. This year we planned the Christmas program together as a church; we divided the work, and everyone helped in some way. The church members divided the responsibilities–some of them did the decorating, some led rehearsals for the children’s dance, and some of them cooked. As I watched all of this, I was thanking God that this is what He calls His church. I used to be the one who did all of the work, but this time, all of the church members did their part.
This year for the Christmas program, we visited many people’s homes and invited them personally. I was concerned that everything might not go as we had planned, but thank God, everything went well! I am really glad, and I have been blessed to see all of my church members grow in the Lord. I love to see God working in their lives and how God is even blessing their family members through them. God is increasing the ministry!
In my church, there is a couple who are getting engaged. I am very excited for them–this will be the first Christian wedding from my believers! Neither of their parents are believers. The couple came and talked with me about this three years ago. At that time, both of their families were against the marriage. The main reason their family was against the marriage is that the families are from two different castes. Both families were angry with me, because the two of them attend my church regularly. Their parents blamed me and said that I was the reason they saw each other every week and then planned to get married. I talked to the couple and told them they must keep their relationship holy. I told them they should be an example for the church and for their families. I prayed and believed that there would come a time when the families would be in favor of the marriage. Thank God that now both of their families have agreed with the marriage, since they were good testimonies to their families.
Thank God that he has given me some new families in my church. He also brought one family that comes from nearly 40 miles away! One brother in my church shared the Gospel with the family. Then, they really wanted to come and see what the church was like. They came, and God gave me the opportunity to share the Word of God with them. They received the Gospel that I shared! The brother who had first shared the Gospel with the family was baptized only a few months ago. He had come to faith in Jesus long ago, but one day he came to me and asked me what baptism was. After I shared about baptism with him, he replied that he believed in Jesus so he wanted to get baptized. He was very excited to get baptized. Seeing this brother’s excitement reminded me of the story about Phillip and the eunuch. When I read the Scriptures and see incidents like them in my church, I really get excited!
Prayer Requests: Pray for me, as I am traveling to a nearby country to visit my friend. Pray that I will have safe travels and a blessed time there. Pray for all of the new people who have heard the Gospel, that they will accept Jesus. Pray for the couple from my church who are getting married. Please pray that their marriage will be blessed and that their families will agree with their Christian wedding. Also pray for all of the government approvals–they will have to get many documents approved by the government to have a Christian wedding. Recently, God has used me in many different places, and many people heard the Gospel of God. I am thankful that God used me to share the Gospel. Just Like Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 9:16, that he had a vision to share the Gospel, God is teaching me that I need to be thankful for the vision He has given me. God has given me this stewardship, and I need to take care of it. Pray for me, that I will fulfill the vision God has given me and that God will be glorified through my life.
God has been doing a wonderful work at my church and is bringing brand new people to my church. This is because people truly need a Savior, and they are trying to find Him. It is the Word of God that brings them to the right way.
Last month, God gave me an opportunity to take some of the believers from my church to our Calvary Chapel conference. It was a blessed time for all of us. We do not get very many opportunities to go to this kind of conference. The believers especially need conferences like this since they live in such a worldly, pagan environment. Through the conferences, they are really encouraged when they learn more about the Word and meet other believers. After the conference when I received their feedback, I was encouraged to find that God is continuously teaching them.
I thank God because He gave me an opportunity to share the Word of God at this conference, and this was my first time. It was a new experience for me. I thank the Calvary Chapel team who was among us last week. The time I spent with them was an especially blessed time. Whenever the CC pastors are with us, I get to learn a lot about ministry and the field. During these last 5-6 years, I have been serving the Lord and I thank you all that you have found me faithful. I was ordained as a Calvary Chapel pastor two weeks ago.
I had been praying for a long time about whether or not to bring the team to my place or not, because these days anti-Christian organizations have become very active. We are not able to do any religious activity openly. I was very concerned about this. One time, while I was thinking that I should not bring them, I remembered the verse that says the One who is with me is greater than the one who is in this world–so then who can be against us? So, I left everything up to God. I was wondering where I should hold the church service when the team came, because everyone would not fit in my home. God worked wonderfully and opened the heart of a brother who opened his home for us to have a church fellowship! God is our provider. In spite of many problems, God worked wonderfully, and many people were blessed by the pastors and the team who came. Through this, I know that everything is in God’s control and God works everything together for His glory, just like it says in Jeremiah 10:10, “the LORD is the true God; he is the living God, the eternal King. When He is angry, the earth trembles; the nations cannot endure His wrath.” Thank you everyone. Through your prayers all of these things were possible. In the same way, continue to pray for us that we can preach the Word boldly and be His witnesses to the world.
Prayer Requests: Pray for some people at our church who want to be baptized. Pray that God will prepare their hearts and that at the right time we can baptize them. Pray that I can lead these believers in the right way, and strengthen them in the Word of God. Many received Jesus and many rejected.
While I was in Bible College, God gave me an opportunity to share His Word with a family. Since I already knew them, it was not hard for me to talk to them about God. That was about 6 years ago. There was a girl in the family who was a student at that time. I shared the Gospel with them and many things about God. They said that they did not need Jesus, because they already had their gods. During that time I shared the Gospel with them many times. It has been six years since then, and I recently met the girl while I was on the road. I could not recognize her, but she remembered me so she called out to me. She told me how I used to share the Gospel and she used to mock me, but now she and her whole family are believers! This was a such a surprise for me! I did not remember that I shared the Gospel with her personally, but she remembered the things that I shared. I really thank God that His Word never goes out in vain but it works in its time! Just like Paul said: someone plants and someone else waters, but God gives the increase. She told me that she works in the town where I live and invited me to her office. This was a good opportunity for me. I was able to share there with others as well about my testimony and what God did for us.
Where I am right now, God has opened many doors for me and He has been with me during many difficult times. Even though there were no believers here when I first started ministering, still God encouraged me to stay and do His work.
I have visited many families and I found many opportunities to share the Word of God. Whenever I got the opportunity, I shared about Jesus. Many young people gave their lives to God. When their families saw that they became Christians, their families closed the door for me. But the work of God never stops.
That’s why every Sunday and Friday I host a church fellowship at my place. Also, whenever I get an opportunity I meet them outside in town and encourage them. I really get encouraged when I hear that God is working in their lives! I always make many plans about ways to visit them and encourage them that it’s possible for them as well. Many times we go for picnics or to a restaurant. That is how we meet and talk about God. It is my desire that every time I meet them, I encourage them in the Lord, because it is really difficult for them to go to a church or hear biblical teaching. It is really a big responsibility for me and I think that since God has given me this responsibility, then I need to be responsible about it.
I visit many different youth groups every month and show the love of God through my life. I have also been praying for a long time that we can have our own place where we can have a church service. Where I host my church fellowship right now is a rented place. It is really small so it gets really hard to fellowship when more people come. And people also ask why so many people are coming to this place when it is rented. So, I am praying for a separate place where we can gather and freely worship Jesus Christ.
This month, a new family started coming to my church. They are from another state but have come to my town to work. There are only two of them in the family, a mother and her adult son. One of the believers introduced me to them, so I went to their house. The doctor told the mother that she has cancer, so the family was going through a tough time. That is why I got the opportunity to go visit them and pray for them. I told them that I have church every Sunday and that they were invited to come. Now, they come to church every Sunday. The son follows one really famous Hindu leader. That Hindu leader does not have good character and because of that he is in Jail right now. But still people blindly follow him. So, I have been sharing with the son about the truth of Jesus and we talk about religions.
One day this month, a drunk man came to my house and started shouting against me and Christianity. He started talking about all the Hindu Gods. Then he said that someone told him that I convert people to Christianity and that I make people drink cow’s blood. He said “I know about Jesus–foreigners crucified Him. The one who cannot protect himself how can he protect us?” He also accused me of wanting us to become slaves to white people again. I was not able to talk to him much, because he was drunk. So I told him that I would explain it to him when he comes back. These days the situation over here is really bad. Many church buildings are being destroyed by anti-Christians. Many Hindu groups are gathering people to stand against Christians. The present government supports Hindu groups and it wants this country to become a Hindu nation. That’s why they stand against Christians.
Prayer requests- Pray for the people who I have been sharing the gospel with and meeting every month. Pray for me, that God may give me new ideas, so that I can be used to strengthen the people more in the Word. Pray that I may mature more in the Word of God, so I can teach the people God has given me to disciple. Pray for the new family that has started coming to my church–that they may completely put their faith in God. Pray for the people who are against Christians in my area–that God may give them understanding. Pray for the Church building that I am planning to have at my place. Greetings to you!
I thank God for all of His work that He does in my life, and I am well because of His grace. I thank all of you who continually pray for and support me. I especially would like to share with you the new things that are going on in my church. All of the church members are doing really well. I rejoice, seeing everyone’s heart and enthusiasm for God. All are doing well, by God’s grace. Thank you all, that you pray for them as well.
Right now, I am teaching through the book of Acts in my church. We have almost reached the end of this book. We have learned many things from Acts, like how the churches began and how many people heard the Gospel and gave their lives to God.
We have especially studied Paul’s life and his dedication to the Word of God. He was faithful in every way toward the God’s Word, and he completed the work that was given to him. We studied his missionary journey, how he taught and strengthened the believers. Paul corrected many wrong beliefs that they had as a result of their lives before they became Christians. Even through all of his difficulties, Paul remained faithful and continued the work. He was faithful even until death. Studying the book of Acts helped us to correct many things in our own church, so I thank God for this book, through which we could learn.
I went to a place to share the Gospel recently. I have known the people I went to visit for a long time; they knew that I am a Christian. When they had first found out that I became a Christian, I was not welcome at their house.
But, whenever I saw them, I would stop and talk with them. This time when I was in their town, the Holy Spirit told me to go visit them in their home. I could not stop myself, so I went to visit them. This time, they were very welcoming. I had a good opportunity to share the Gospel with them. While I was sharing the Gospel, the woman of that family told me that she wanted to accept Jesus. She wanted to know what she needed to do. It was really encouraging for me that she asked me about what she should do to believe. I remembered Acts chapter 2, where Peter shared the Gospel, and then the people asked Peter what to do. Peter told them to repent and believe. Then, she was concerned about what her family and husband will say if she believes on Jesus. Truly, when someone accepts Jesus here, they have a very difficult time thinking about how their family members will react. This is a common situation people have when they are given the opportunity to accept Jesus. I told this woman that if you really accept Jesus, you will see a change in your life and in your family. Even though this woman’s family is very rich, they are facing many problems and they do not have peace. Please pray that this woman will truly accept Jesus as her Savior.
Prayer requests:
I am applying to study at Calvary Chapel Bible College in California. It is a really good opportunity for me to learn the Word more and to be used by God more. Please pray that if it is God’s will, He will open the door for me. Pray for the woman who I shared about above, that she will truly accept Jesus as her Savior.
Pray for a brother who comes to my fellowship. He used to drink a lot of alcohol, but now he has not been drinking that much. Please pray that God will help him to totally stay away from drinking, so that he can be a good example to his family.
Pray for my church growth, that they will grow more in the Lord and that more people will hear about God.
Pray for me, that I will remain faithful for the Word of God, and will go to many new places to share the Word of God.
Pray for my family members; many of them do not believe. A few of my church members who are new believers also got the opportunity to attend the conference. This was a new experience for them because this was their first Christian conference. It was really encouraging for them! They had no idea what the conference would be like. Before, they had been to many different Hindu conferences, and this was very different from that.
At our Christian conference, the new believers experienced a really peaceful, spiritual environment. They were able to grow and understand more about God. I also thank God that He gave me the opportunity to spend some good time with the new believers. When I asked them how they felt about the conference, they told me that they had been so busy with many different things of the world, but the conference had been a time of refreshing for them. So, I believe that they really had a blessed time!
I thank God that He is adding many people to the church. Despite having many problems, God is adding many people to the church. Among these people, there are many teenage girls from a Hindu background. It becomes very difficult for them to face their families and to continue to believe. When they come to faith in Jesus, their family members do not want them to believe in Jesus Christ and they make many plans to get the teenage girls away from Christ. They try to get the girls to marry Hindu boys so that they will no longer believe in Christ. Here, it is easy for people to fall away from believing in Christ. But in spite of these circumstances for the teenage girls, they are standing strong in their faith. Seeing this, I rejoice in the Lord, and I always pray that they will always be strong in their faith. They often share these kinds of problems with me. He told me that Jehovah Witnesses’ are the true believers and we (Christians) are the ones who only follow the Law. This was a great time for me to share the difference between keeping the Law and having faith. I asked him, “What is faith?” He told me that he had faith that God would heal him and God healed him and that was his definition of faith. So I shared with him from Galatians, where it teaches us about the difference between faith and keeping Law. I told him that true faith means believing that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose again on the third day. Jesus is the only way to God. If we need to go to the Father then it is really important for us to believe in the Son.
We had a very long conversation and at the end he agreed that, “Yes, truly we (Jehovah Witnesses) are the ones who have divided God.”! In the Bible study we are going through the book of Jonah. This book has really been a blessing for us. In this book, we saw the heart of God~that He wants to save everyone. This was really a good time for us to be together to worship God. Here in my country, people know about Christmas as a festival that celebrated by Christians, but they do not know the real meaning of Christmas. This was a really good opportunity for me to share the real reason as to why we celebrate Christmas. The Muslim brothers who had come to the fellowship told me that they also believe in Jesus, but that they believe that Jesus was not crucified. They believe that someone else was crucified. So I shared with them that Jesus was indeed crucified for our salvation.
I thank God for the strength He gave me at that particular time to share about our savior Jesus Christ. And I believe that in the coming times we will see the fruits of the seeds that God helped me sow in their hearts that day.
Prayer requests-
Pray that I may take the Gospel to many new places.
Pray for Pahal’s* family. He is the only believer from his family and is struggling to stand for his faith because of his family. Pray that he may stand strong in his faith.
Pray for Rani* and Sunita’s* family, that their family will allow them to go to church.
Pray for Kanja’s* health. But looking back, only a short time earlier, Pastor 12, like Saul, was angry and determined to do just the opposite-Stop the Christians! However, God had instilled in him a hunger for the truth.
Struggling Within My name is (undisclosed). I am from the 10/40 Window. I was born into a Hindu family. My parents are still Hindu.
When I was Hindu, I, like my family, used to follow all of the Hindu rituals like idol worship and offering different sacrifices. Even after doing all of these things, my family did not have peace. So, I had the question in my mind, “Why is there no peace in my family even though we are doing everything to please the gods?”
I began to try to find out how I could please God. Because of all of this, I got depressed.
I did not talk to people. Instead, I would quarrel and fight with others. This change in my personality caused my family to be worried about me.
Combating the Christians After I finished high school, I left home and went to a city to continue my education. During this time, I went back to my village on holidays. I heard that my younger brother had become a believer. At that time, I had wrong beliefs about Christians.
When my family worshiped idols together, my brother would not participate since he had become a believer. There were times I would beat up my brother because he refused to worship the idols.
I was really upset and angry because I knew that there were people who came to our village and talked about Jesus. I made plans to figure out how to keep them from coming to our village. My brother used to tell me, “Just go and hear them one time to see what they have to say-then decide what you want to believe.”
So, I decided to go to their place and hear what they had to say. I went and heard about God and asked about the wrong beliefs that I had about Christianity. I did not find the bad things in Christian people that I had believed about them.
Hungering for the Truth Earlier in my life, I had two questions: “Who is the true God?” and “How can you get real peace?”
When I heard about Jesus and how He came to save sinners, I began to think, “Maybe He is the true God.”
Slowly I realized that He has eternal life. When I fully realized that Jesus is the only true living God, I gave my life to Him!
My whole life had been full of sin and anger. Slowly, God changed me. I saw changes in myself. I had always had a desire to learn more, and when I got saved I wanted to know more about God. For this reason, I decided to go to Bible School.
Surrendering to God’s Call At the beginning of Bible College, it was difficult for me. Earlier, I had planned to join the army. I left Bible College for two days to take the physical test to apply for the army. I was selected. [It is hard to be allowed to join the army.] Then it was even more difficult for me-I had to choose between the army and Bible College. God put it in my heart to continue Bible College and not to join the army.
Another time, I was struggling and planned to run away from Bible College. But the night before I planned to leave, I decided to read the Bible one last time. I read Matthew 22. In verse 14, God really spoke to me. That verse says, “Many are called but few are chosen.”
Right then, I decided that just like I have come out from the darkness into the truth, I also need to bring people out of the darkness to the true living God. God gave me a burden to share about Him with others.
After I graduated from Bible College, God showed me a place to do ministry. I went there to start a church. For the first nine months, no one came to Christ. I got really upset and thought, “I must not be called to do church planting ministry.” But, after I ministered nine months in that town, one person received Jesus!
Now, many people come to my church. All of them are new believers. It is challenging at times to be a good shepherd to these believers. But, God’s grace is always there for me to do the work He has called me to do.
Please pray for me. Pray that I will be used mightily by God to do His work and to share the Gospel in both the town I live in, and in many nearby towns and villages. Also pray for my parents, that God will change their hearts that they may turn to Him.
–Pastor 12
Email Updates
For Email Marketing you can trust.

https://archive.sgwm.com/pastor12/pastor12/sample-page/

Determined to help spread the Good News of Jesus Christ, SGWM Pastor 12 has led his congregation to be strong in spite of painful persecution for the past three years.
