I am sorry that it is going to be a little long update. About 8 years before we planted a church in a village, but we did not have any proper place for meetings. We started our church meetings in a tent.

We want to take a moment to share with you the current situation in Pakistan. Over the past weeks, severe flooding has struck much of our country, leaving countless families devastated. Entire villages have been submerged, roads have been washed away, and homes have collapsed under the force of the water. The scale of destruction has been overwhelming, and the suffering of the people is immense.

It’s been a while since we could share with you about tall the amazing things God has been doing in Pakistan through Calvary Chapel Mission. My father was not well, he underwent a surgery which was though quite minor, but, since he is about 85 years old, that’s why few things made us worried. He is recovering very fast from that now; we praise God for that.

Merry Christmas, we hope and pray that you all are doing good. We are good by the grace of God, and we are thankful to you all for the prayers, love and support. It is almost Christmas time, and very soon we will be in the next year by the grace and will of God. We praise God for all the wonderful and amazing things that we were able to do with His Help. Here through this update, we want to give you some Highlights of year 2024 and we want to ask you to pray for/with us as we enter into next year.

Village Church Building: God enabled us this year to purchase a piece of land in a village and start the building, the level of the piece of land was deep and was not in good shape, we have been working and have laid good foundation, much of the work still remains and we need your support to complete this.

Outreaches: God has enabled us to reach many new people groups at different places this year. We praise God for the teaching resources that He has provided to us, and we are able to go and share the word of God with many around us. There are always some difficult places and situations we always need your prayers as we serve here.

{{ double-space-with-newline }} Ordination of Pastor Joseph: One of our oldest co-laborer brother Joseph Arif was ordained as a pastor in September as we went to participate in Calvary Chapel conference in Thailand. {{ double-space-with-newline }} {{ double-space-with-newline }}Woman Ministry: Woman ministry is one of the very important ministries that God has enabled us to start. Through this ministry God is helping very oppressed women, they are growing in faith, and they are also learning different kinds of skills. Sunday Schools: We praise God that we were able to encourage a group in Hindu tribe (desert) to start teaching children and it is really helpful, we were able to send a young Christian girl for training to serve in Sunday School Ministry, she has come back and has started one in the neighboring town of Bahawalpur. We are going to work more on this ministry in near future and expand it to Hindu Tribal Areas. please keep this in your prayers.
Online Classes: Our weekly online classes are going really well, recently we were able to travel to the groups that has been learning from us online, we were so blessed to listen to the students while they were sharing about their spiritual journey. Please keep praying that we may grow this part of our ministry into organized classes and trainings in near future.{{ double-space-with-newline }} {{ double-space-with-newline }}
Books and Study Material: We always work on preparing different kinds of study material. During this year we have translated many new articles, courses and some books into Urdu language. The most important of them are: a book on Biblical Counselling, two books of Warren W. Wiersbe, (Devotional Commentary of the Bible and On Being the Servant of God), and Calvary Chapel Distinctive. We are starting CC Distinctive class, and we believe that God is going to using other study material in a mighty way for the wellbeing of the church.

There are many other things that God has been doing in and through our lives. we give him all glory and we seek to be doing His will always. Please continue to pray for us all here. Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas! We hope and pray that you are fine. We praise God for all of His blessings, protection and love. It is the end of year 2021, and we are thankful to all of you for the payers, love and care. It was indeed a very blessed year, a very fruitful year here at Calvary Chapel Pakistan.

We praise God that:

Our Christian organization got registered this year after 3 years’ struggle and we are moving ahead with new things.
Our online classes continued now in five cities, teaching more than 130 people every week.
We were able to translated more than 1000 Christian theological articles into Urdu language which are really helpful for all of our students and many other people.
Pastor David Guzik’s Commentary on Acts was translated into Urdu this year. Commentary on John and Jude were translated previously.
We translated and complied two very helpful books for Bible study each containing more than 300 pages. One is “Outline of every chapter of the Bible” and the other is “Survey of the Books of the Bible.”
Our outreaching ministry got extended to some more unreached people and groups where we are reaching and teaching more Christians to grow spiritually.
Our both mission trips to the desert area were very very fruitful, we organized special whole day training and teaching sessions this year and it was awesome!
Calvary Chapel Pakistan received a container of free Scriptural booklets from World Missionary Press Inc. this year!
Our recorded classes and material is helpful for the people to get connected with us and grow in their Biblical understanding.

During this situation of lock-down, we have not been able to arrange church services and online Bible classes, though we’ve been visiting church member’s families with all necessary safety measures. And we are also using this time to train the new team members in the desert area to know more about ministry and grow in biblical studies.

Dear Friends and family, Greetings from CC Pakistan, we praise God for His faithfulness and care and also we are thankful to you for your faithful prayers and support. We are doing really good, our church and teaching ministry is growing and our whole team is fine by God’s grace.

Online Teaching Ministry

I shared with you about our “Online Teaching Ministry” that we started this year in our last update. Now I want to share with you the great impact of the class on the lives of our students. This is our new ministry and we were in prayer for this since October 2019. The both groups (more than 40 students in each) come from background highly affected by “televangelists”. Therefore students in both classes had so many misconceptions and were confused about their faith. They were curious about the online class as well as it is their first experience to learn this way. Out experiment with teaching and the Bible study class itself has been really amazing and very successful. The first 14 classes are titled “Introduction to the Bible” and our slogan for this class is “Back to the Bible.” This class has been really wonderful, students are very excited as they are coming to know about the Holy Word of God and thus are led to study it. Last week as I visited one group in their city, they had so many stories to tell me and they shared how this online Bible class arranged by CC Pakistan is helping them grow in their faith removing their misconceptions about Bible and helping them know and read it more daily. Our Second Group of Bible students is from a city at the distance of 9 hours drive. That group is near a vast desert called Cholistan. That group was fully dominated by the so-called healers and most of the people still follows such false teachers who are making merchandise of the word of God. We praise God that the group in that city is also growing much in discernment and spiritual awareness in the light of the Bible. It is really great privilege for us to lead these young people back to the Bible. We praise God for His grace and are thankful to you for your prayers.

Dear Friends and family,Greetings! We praise God that Calvary Chapel Pakistan is working effectively and the ministry has always been fruitful. We are thankful to you for the faithful prayer support and your love through encouraging in every possible way. The month of July has was really amazing time for us in this mission field and we praise God that He blessed our service in His vineyard. _The Sad Situation and outreach_Calvary Chapel Pakistan distributes scriptural book and booklets also printed by " World Missionary Press" in whole Pakistan. Through this we are connected with so many people and churches in the whole country. In the month of May we received a call from an area named Jaranwala to visit them as they wanted to learn from the Word with us. We planned a mission trip, we set out early in the morning and reached the area by 9:00 am after travelling for four hours. People in that area are very poor, we felt that we were at least 15 years back in the history. They work in different factories or in the fields of Muslim landlords. They have spiritual hunger and thirst but they are deceived by Televangelists that they watch daily on TV._I was so sad to know that even if they sell a goat, they travel difficult and long ways in order to give some of the money to those televangelists in other cities,_as this is what they hear them teach everyday with many threats if they don’t follow their instructions. People place water, oil and prayer requests on paper before TV, for healing and other needs. They are told on TV that they have to travel to the cities to give their testimonies and offering otherwise they may suffer. It was very sad for us to see that they didn’t even have proper understanding about the person of our Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross, rather they have placed their faith in Televangelists who are always teaching them about health, wealth and prosperity, and at the same time robbing them of their hard earned little money. Lord laid on our hearts to teach them about the person of Jesus Christ. We reached different small groups in the different villages and taught about the person of Jesus Christ in detail. This was really helpful for them to know Jesus and have a personal relationship with Him. They whole day we taught them from the Word about true Christian faith, we used multimedia in order to help them understand better. We praise God that our message was well received and we still received very encouraing updates from the areas. Some of people from the village informed a pastor in the city area about us and he also invited us to his church in the evening. Taking the advantage of the opportunity we went to that church. The church members were very vibrant, they welcomed us warmly and I taught there for two hours Apologetically about the person of Jesus Christ, about all the non biblical biblical activities going around and tried to help them study The Word properly for their guidance.. And I am very happy to tell you that

the message was well received there also, and it pointed people to study the Bible properly and know the Truth themselves presented in the pages of the Word. It’s on our heart to continue doing some outreach evangelism even on monthly basis in such areas where they don’t have faithful Bible teachers but a TV that mostly keeps on misleading them. We want you to please keep this in your prayers. We need $200 for a trip like this in those far areas, If Lord leads you to help us reach with the Good News of salvation through the Shed Blood of Jesus Christ, Please Support this Outreach Mission of Calvary Chapel Pakistan to the unreached areas. We are grateful to be part of Saving Grace World Missions that is impacting many parts of the world including Pakistan. The friends back in office often call us [the missionaries] “wold Changers” but we in the mission field have over and over again experienced that there is nothing in us that can bring any good change in the world. The only thing that can truly transform any person, family or society is the Word of God. And that’s the only sure foundation we need to build our families and communities on.

Friends and Family in Christ Jesus, Merry Christmas!We send love and greetings to all of you from Calvary Chapel Pakistan. It’s really exciting to see how amazingly God works in the lives of the believers, and teaches them in most wonderful ways to be his true and effective witness. Reading great books has been my passion and I thought that the source of gaining knowledge through books and wonderful teachers was powerful and sufficient training for a pastor to server effectively. But very soon it became clear that it takes much more than mere knowledge. Church Planting is very challenging but most wonderful and powerful experience for a pastor, the everyday challenges, obstacles, fears, uncertainty, disappointments, resistance and much more is part of the mission, but when he sees the result of God’s work through his life and ministry, that joy fills his whole world and there is nothing like that joy and satisfaction! When a simple person starts having clear understanding of the word of God after being taught by a pastor, it truly means much more than a blind to see the light of this world!

Calvary Foundation Youth Fellowship

My meeting with Pastor Trent in Europe was very inspirational, when I came back my wife and I started to pray and plan, and we started a youth group by the name of “Calvary Foundation Youth Fellowship”. First day we had 6 guys there who came and we had wonderful fellowship and prayed together. We have started a weekly Bible study with them, we meet on every Monday at 5 pm and have Bible study till 6:30 pm. The number of the people who are joining is increasing, and we are very excited about what Lord is going to do and accomplish through this group of young people who are joining us!

First Calvary Chapel in Pakistan This is first ever Calvary Chapel in Pakistan. The journey started in 2006 when life of Nadeem Massey, currently pastor and mission leader of CC Pakistan was changed after listening to Pastor Chuck’s C-2000 Series “Through the Bible”. Pastor Nadeem Massey was born and brought up in a Roman Catholic family. After High School he was sent to become a “Catholic Priest”. But God had some other plans, he quit the education in that Catholic seminary and went to study further in a college.After his life was changed, he contacted some Calvary Chapels in America, translated some of Pastor Chuck Smith’s books in Urdu with the permission of “The Word for Today.” and started his Biblical education online fromCCBC Murrieta.He started serving as national missionary withSaving Grace World Missions. This whole work continued for years faithfully. He was ordained in 2015 as first Pakistani Calvary Chapel Pastor and now he has planted two churches in Pakistan. We have our main church in Gujranwala town, God has provided land to us for the building, we are waiting for permission from Govt. to have church building there. God will make it possible soon in near future. CC Pakistan exists because of mission work of “Saving Grace World Missions”and this church is fully mission minded, reaching the un-reached in the remote areas of Pakistan. Some of the main ministries of our church are as bellow: Village and Brick Maker’s Ministry We planted one village church about 4 years before. This is a community of 32 Christian families they neither had a church building nor a pastor. They would request different pastors for the marriage and funeral services. There was no Sunday service, no Bible study or other church meetings. A family offered us their place to be used for church meetings. God provided us help to iron sheet roof top and we started Sunday service in that place. We praise God that this village church has been growing ever since and people of that village are really blessed and happy.Calvary Chapel Pakistan has been committed to reach the un-reached in all possible ways. We have some groups of brick makers who are living like slaves bought with the money. Their every generation is born under a large amount of debt that their family owes to the owners of brick kilns. These groups don’t have the very basic needs provided. No medical care, no proper food, no education. Though we are not able to provide money for them released from the debts, but we are reaching them every Friday to share the word of God with them and help them grow in their Christian faith. We call them our “Third Church” here. God has been providing support for some food and some times for medications during at special occasions, during any disaster and pandemic situation and we have also been providing such support for them whenever possible. We are using Audio Devices with Urdu Bible recording provided by “Faith Comes by Hearing” to lead these precious souls through the Word of God._Desert MissionLast year God granted us an opportunity to travel to a city nearCholistan Desert. our five days “Vision Tour” actually turned into great “Mission Trip” as there was great opportunity for us to reach very disadvantaged people who professed their faith in Jesus Christ. In the deep villages, people are really poverty stricken, many of them live like slaves who are chained in the night time so that they may not run away. Our contact and host there was a very good person who took us to many areas, we met people, gave them Urdu Bibles in printed form. We gave Audio Players with Solar panel (chargeable with sunlight) so that they may listen the word of God. This gift came from"Faith Comes by Hearing." We have great vision for that area, we are going to reach to these un-reached people in this tough, remote and quite dangerous area by God’s grace. We believe our ministry in the desert is going to grow and God is going to bring something really great and big out of it.Online Bible School_Our visit to the desert led us to plan a teaching project in that area. It was not easy because we live at almost 500 kilometres away from that area. God led and He provided needs to start an online Bible study. We are teaching them “Simply the Word Simple” We have 40 students in a city near desert, the student’s interest is growing as they continue to learn and dig deeper in the Word of God with every class. Our Bible class extended to another city where one friend of Pastor Nadeem wanted to start Bible study with him. He arranged a place, God provided laptop and projector for this class as well and this class also continues with almost 50 students. We have added now a third group of Bible students in Online Bible Study class. The group is formed by a friend of leading pastor of “Living Way Fontana”. We praise God that a project started with a vision tour in 2019 has turned into Bible study with three different groups. We are praying to start recording of (audio/video) “Through the Bible Series” Bible classes and topic messages in near future. Women’s Ministry Calvary Chapel Pakistan has a wonderful woman ministry. We have established one “Sewing Center” in a village where poor Christian women come to learn the sewing skill. We use this Sewing center as a platform to share the word of God with these Christian women of the village to encourage and build them as true and strong Christians. Most of the Christian women work in the fields and lead a tough life, we believe that their lives can be better and easy after they learn the sewing skills and also when they grow more in their faith.One of the main project of this ministry is providing Christian women with “Biblical Counseling. In this culture, women mostly feel oppressed and they feel that they are not able to express their pain, problems and issues of life. CC Pak Women’s ministry has provided a platform for such women to come and share the problems and issues with our Pastor’s wife and receive godly Bible based counselling. We are praying to take this ministry to the desert area as well in our next mission trip there. We are praying to start more sewing centers at some other places, and as Lord will provide we will be reaching other villages also. Right now we have one Sewing Center and two Bible Study groups at different villages. Various on-going projects Calvary Chapel Pakistan is working very hard to produce solid Bible based teachings in Urdu language. We are building our website www.calvarypakistan.com where we are putting a lot Bible study resources, most of the study material is translated from English to Urdu. We have a counter-cult project where we bring awareness about different cultic movements working around us and help people have spiritual discernment in the light of the word of God. We also have a Youth Group by the name of “Calvary Foundation Youth Fellowship” where we are reaching the youth of our both churches with the teaching of the Word of God. We praise God for all protection, guidance and help throughout the whole month. our country is part of 10/40 Windows, but this part of world is full of different spiritual ideas and different philosophies, people are religious, they always want to believe in something or someone. There is great spiritual hunger and thirst and when they don’t get true spiritual food, then they are happy with anything available. There are so many people who think and believe that they are Christians because they were born into a Christian family, they know the name of Christ but are not truly saved because they don’t know the Lord personally.

Simply Teaching the word has not only changed many lives around us, but it has been continually changing our own lives to better. God has laid on our hearts to “Reach” and “Teach the Word” more than anything else, and we praise God for all the wisdom and guidance He always provides. The concept of expository teaching is new and not very popular here. People feel much fascination in Healing Crusades, Health Wealth and Prosperity Gospel. Greetings from Pakistan, We praise God for His faithfulness and we are thankful to you for your love, care and support! CC Pak team spent most of the time last month with un-reached Christian communities around us. Our Christmas and New Year Church meetings were great and we had wonderful time of worship, prayer and fellowship with these amazing people who till now had been living like scattered people living a disconnected life. Through their fellowship in Calvary Chapel Pakistan they felt their connection with each other in Christ. And we praise God that now most of them have feeling of being one with the Christian community and their lives are now becoming more organized.

Greetings and love to all our brothers and sisters in Christ. The greatest joy for us is to be servants of our Lord here as He is working great things in the lives of hundreds of peoples. We are thankful to you all for always supporting us with your love, prayers and care. Summer in Pakistan did not come as quickly as we were expecting, the month of April was very pleasant and cold at most of the time, but now the summer has started and it is getting hotter and hotter every day. Our church team, our families and congregation is fine, we praise our Lord and God for protection and want to thank you all who pray for us.

First Calvary Chapel Pastor in Pakistan

We are very happy to share with you that I [Nadeem Massey] was ordained as First Pakistani Calvary Chapel Pastor in Nepal on Oct. 25, 2015 by Calvary Chapel Saving Grace, in Yorba Linda, California. I’ve been serving with Saving Grace World Missions since 2008 as national missionary in Pakistan, and during that time I continued to have my online Bible College studies from Calvary Chapel Bible College Murrieta, California.

We praise God for His faithfulness and we are really excited to share how wonderful He has been working in and through our lives in this place - which is a battlefield in the real meaning.

First of all, we want to ask that you pray for all Christians in Pakistan as they constantly suffer for their faith. In the first week of the month of November a young man and his wife (brick making couple) were burnt alive in a brick kiln after a false accusation of ‘Blasphemy’. This news sent a very terrifying message to all Christians in the country. Pray that they may find comfort in Christ Jesus.

Our Church is first Calvary Chapel in Pakistan, it is one of the worldwide network of Calvary Chapels, and is officially affiliated with Calvary Chapel Saving Grace of Yorba Linda California. It had very humble start in 2007, as an evangelistic out-reach mission directed by Holy Spirit, and gradually it grew into a church.

Pastor Nadeem Massey’s life was changed in 2004 through the teaching of Pastor Chuck Smith that was sent to him from an American friend in a CD pack. The method and slogan of Pastor Chuck Smith “Simply the Word Simply” had very powerful impact on the life of Nadeem Massey, and Holy Spirit touched his heart and guided him to share the word in that simply way with others.

GREETINGS FROM PAKISTAN! Our ministry life is busy as always and we praise God for providing us safety while we are serving Him here. March was a really tough month as our very beloved Uncle passed away two days after his heart bypass surgery. On the very next day Farah had severe kidney pain and was hospitalized for a few days. She had two 6mm. stones in her kidney and was put on medication for a few weeks, We praise God that one stone passed through, however, one is still there. We are hoping that it too will get passed with the medicine. We are so thankful for all your prayers and encouragement we’ve been receiving!

THE VILLAGE BIBLE STUDIES are thriving! We began four groups of weekly expository studies last year and will be adding another group next month for about 20 young men and women. Our students are showing amazing growth from the expository teaching style.

This video will give you general understanding into the lives and plights of the Christians within Pakistan. There is much oppression and terror to contend with, along with a lack of good solid Christian teaching and resource materials like the Bible.

Calvary Chapel Pakistan is attempting to help strengthen Christians in their faith by giving them the pure word of God. We have two weekly Bible Studies within two different Villages, we are ministering to 1,000 children through 23 Sunday School programs, and we distribute much teaching material.

Blessings to you all! We praise God for His grace and Love to help us keep working. We are always thankful to you all for the prayers and your love for us and this ministry in Pakistan. We Love You! God Bless You and your family.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

Please pray for Kiran (Joseph’s wife) as she is suffering from a thyroid disorder and this is causing some other problems in her body like hormonal imbalance and skin problems. She is such a wonderful lady and the mother of 5 years old son named John. She struggles with a sense of hopelessness about her condition day by day. Please pray for her to be healed physically, physiologically and spiritually.
Please pray for our plan to start another “Through The Bible” Study at a new village during the coming month. We praise God for the current Bible Study in the one small village, we have planned and are praying for one more in the other village!
Please pray for our upcoming “Counter-Cult” Seminar on 05 Feb. 2013, in Faisalabad City. Many small churches have joined together to arrange this special One Day Seminar. Please pray for all arrangements, for those churches, for our safe journey and for me (Nadeem) to be able to teach with wisdom.
Please pray for “PEACE” in our country. Everyday so many people are being killed and there is lawlessness all around. Please pray for our government to be able to handle the situation and provide peace and protection in this country.

Dear Friends and Family!

As we enter the season of celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we hope this letter finds you well. The year 2012 is ending, and as we look back, we find it to be a tough year in which the devil attacked our family and ministry very forcefully and we were afraid to death. We went through so much fear, tension and depression. Then our Almighty Lord intervened and saved us. He placed our feet on the Solid Rock. Now at this point we cannot cease praising our Loving Lord for all that He has done for us and through us in this country, and we also cannot cease thanking you and praying for you all who always keep us in your prayers.

Blessings from Pakistan! You have probably heard through news sources that there has been much conflict happening within Pakistan due to a video (or movie trailer) put up on the internet about the Muslim’s Prophet Muhammad. As a result, the Muslims were greatly offended and created great violence in our country. There has been much fear among the Christian, but, praise God the Christians have remained safe. We praise God for the protection we have received. We are all fine and healthy. But, people who act unwisely in the name of “Freedom of Speech” don’t know how much hatred and problems their single act can create for so many innocent and poor people. We appreciate your prayers for our country, our people and our ministry. Thank you! BLESSINGS FROM PAKISTAN! Dear Friends and Family,We have had a very hot summer here, and along with that, worse “Power Outage” problems. Sometimes the situation becomes unbearable because of too much heat, humidity, mosquitoes and no power. As summer is winding down, life will become more normal. With power outages of 14-18 hours, it has been hard to work, study or even sleep. We praise God for the protection we have received. We are all fine and healthy.Nadeem & Farah MasseyServing GOD as National Missionaries in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan BIBLE CLASSES START: The schools are going to be opened and we are going to have our regular weekly Bible Classes at the Christian High School again from the month of September. We used to have two Bible Classes weekly - one for the Primary section and the other for the Middle Section. Hopefully, we will be adding a third Bible class with High and Intermediate sections now. The Bible Classes are very effective and we praise God for providing us such wonderful opportunity to be able to teach hundreds of students weekly. We thank you for your prayer and support contribution.

Greetings! We are thankful to you for standing and co-laboring with us in this mission field through praying for us/with there. Our Praise Reports and Prayer Requests are as below:

Prayer Requests

Please keep our village church building in your prayers, we are raising support for this project. Pray that may Lord provide all that we need.
Please keep our upcoming desert mission trip in your prayers. We will have 3 days of teaching, reaching out to some Hindu tribes and do some more outreach.
Please keep our women ministry in your prayers, we always need support for the sewing schools, women fellowship and counselling.
Please pray for our need for children ministry, we need to purchase LEDs for teaching rooms and renovate a room, that needs carpet, chairs, toys and other stuff for Children’s ministry.
Please continue to pray for our families and ministry here in Pakistan.
