Summer is drawing to a close, and school has started for the kids in Tijuana! Some schools are in session, and some are still online. Here is a summary of the latest happenings at Calvary Chapel Pedregales: " D estination Dig" was the theme of this year’s VBS. There were 60 kids in attendance due to Covid Precautions. It was great fun for all, servants and kids! We dug into God’s Word and experienced God’s great love through His servants. It is the highlight of the year and always an all-church event. Those who cannot help physically gave food for the meal each day. This was our first year doing this work on our own as a church with no help from the U.S. ...

The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 This is my life verse! As we celebrated Easter this month, the resurrection of Jesus from the grave is the reason why I am a Christian! I love this special day each year, it is a definite highlight in our church and with family! ...

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Rom. 12:12 The word for me this year is… hope! Hope in the Lord Jesus Christ who is Sovereign. I’m sure we were all are so ready to say good-bye to 2020! A year with much suffering for some, and a “welcome to the kingdom of heaven” for others. This past year has given me a determination to get the message of the gospel out to a dying world more than ever! We have been so blessed and are enjoying being a part of what God is doing here in Tijuana. The roads are being paved and the giant hill that leads up to our church is one of the hills being paved. We are so thankful for this, as it will be much easier to get in and out with the rainy season coming. The Lord is continuing to bless the children’s ministry here at Calvary Chapel Pedregales. We are growing! The parents of the kids are coming, little by little and this is an answer to prayer. I praise God for the faithfulness of the teachers here and the special bond that they have with the children. Our prayer is that more will come, and we have faith that God will answer, all in His time. I am holding teacher training seminars at both Calvary Chapel Pedregales and Tijuana once a month, and these are going very well. I’ve been asked to do a teacher training in November at Calvary Fellowship in Guadalajara. I am praying for transportation funds. ...

I want to start off first by thanking you for your prayers for me as I serve the Lord in Tijuana, Mexico and for reading this update. Wow! What a summer! I don’t even know where to begin! We have all been experiencing a different kind of lifestyle with these very different times that we are living in! It has been quite challenging, but my main focus is to “let my light shine before all.” I love the fact that the gospel is getting out to even more people via social media than ever before. Satan has his plans, but God has even bigger plans and always gets the glory in the end! ...

We have had such a great time over these past few months with many activities in both churches, all focusing on the family! In August we had our Vacation Bible School with over 100 kids each day. It was for three days, and was a tremendous success; and we did it all by ourselves! The teachers from both churches got together and just decided to plan it and do it! The theme verse was Colossians 3:23 “And whatever you do, do it heartily as unto the Lord and not to men… ...

We are making adjustments in the way we minister and meet the needs of the people here in Tijuana with the Coronavirus pandemic, as I’m sure you all are as well. Our church here in Tijuana has sent out various church plants and I came alongside 13 saints and offered to do teacher training. The theme of the entire trip, and the Pastors/leaders conference in Cuernavaca, was the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. ...

January proved to be yet another great month of serving Jesus here in Tijuana, Mexico! We are in a new year, 2020, and the vision of this year from our pastor to all of us at CC Pedregales, is to reach, disciple, and send out others, and to have 20/20 vision–clear vision from the Lord in all that we do for Him! I was blessed to be able to attend this year’s Mission’s Conference at Murrieta Hot Springs, and what a great conference it was. It’s always nice seeing old friends and making new ones. To hear how God is working all around the globe–well, there’s nothing quite like that! Definitely, the best conference of the year for me! ...
