Visit to another district

My team had a wonderful and impactful day during their recent visit. The team was blessed with the opportunity to share the Gospel with many individuals throughout the area. A particularly meaningful moment came when they shared the Good News with the uncle of a Bible College intern and his family.

In addition to visiting his uncle’s home, my team also reached out to several nearby households. Many of the residents had never heard about Jesus before. Despite this, every home warmly welcomed us, creating an open and joyful environment for Gospel sharing.

Kingdom Woman: Usha’s Ministry Update

My wife, Usha, has been faithfully serving alongside me since the beginning of her faith journey. She is also the mother of our two boys.

Usha has a warm and caring relationship with the girl students at the Bible college, which allows her to disciple and guide them well. She spends a lot of time with them and often teaches them how to be a good pastor’s wife or a strong woman leader in the church. She plays an important role in the ministry through her support, teaching, and example.

We are grateful for the faithful service of Pradeep, who continues to minister alongside Calvary Bible Institute and the local church. Since completing his Bible College training, God has provided him with multiple opportunities to serve within the ministry team. His commitment has been a great blessing.

Here is a summary of how Pradeep is currently serving:

Bible Teaching: Pradeep is teaching courses at the Bible College this semester, specifically focusing on the Old Testament and Theology. His classes have been a valuable part of the students’ spiritual growth.
Church Ministry: Pradeep works closely with Pastor Anand, assisting in various church ministries and activities. His involvement helps strengthen the church community and outreach efforts.
Youth & New Believer Discipleship: Pradeep guides the church youth and newcomers through foundational Bible teachings, helping them grow in their understanding of God’s Word.
Student Support: He offers extra classes, such as English, to enrich and support the students’ overall development.
Digital Ministry: In addition to teaching, Pradeep creates online Bible applications, commentaries, and study materials aimed at reaching a global audience.
Translation Work: Pradeep is also actively translating English Bible commentaries and Christian resources into Nepali, making biblical materials more accessible to local believers.
Family Update: On a personal note, Pradeep and his family have been blessed with the arrival of a baby girl. He is joyfully embracing the new responsibilities of fatherhood.

We thank God for Pradeep’s heart to serve and for the many ways that God is using Pradeep to build up the church and equip future leaders. Please continue to keep Pradeep, his family, and his ministry in your prayers.

New Beginnings

We have five new students in our Bible college. Now, we have a total of 21 students. Six students will complete their studies at the end of this semester. This semester, our first-semester students are studying Genesis, 1, 2 & 3 John, and James. All of the students are also learning from Exodus, Isaiah, the Gospel of John, and Revelation. The semester will last for four months, from February to May. We will focus on community outreach during this time. Every Sunday evening, our students go out for a couple of hours to share the Gospel. Please pray for them as they continue to grow in God’s Word. May the Lord bless their learning and ministry!

Connecting, Teaching, and Growing in God's Mission

We traveled to a youth conference, that was hosted by one of our graduates. He is now serving as a pastor in the church there. Around 40 young people from the area attended the conference. We encouraged them with the Word of God. We also invited them to attend our Bible College. Two students decided to join next semester. We had a great time of learning and fellowship. We were happy to see our graduate serving faithfully. The trip was a blessing for all of us.

On December 25, 2024, our church hosted a special Christmas outreach event in our church courtyard. Around 150 people attended. Most of them were non-Christians from the local community. The event was filled with joy and excitement as the youth group and children performed beautiful songs and lively dances. The highlight of the evening was the sharing of the Gospel from the book of Luke, chapter 1, which tells the story of Jesus’ birth. Everyone listened attentively, and many were touched by the message of hope and love. After the Gospel reading, we had time for fellowship, where we shared food and drinks. It was heartwarming to see people from different backgrounds come together to celebrate Christmas. The event ended with everyone feeling joyful and uplifted. This outreach was a wonderful opportunity to share the true meaning of Christmas with our community. We hope to continue spreading the message of love and hope in the future.

We love to go where God lead us. Last month God lead us to the western part of our country. We went to our Calvary Chapel church plant there with our Bible College students. Our students were so excited to hear stories about the church and how God is moving in that area. Our students went to a tribal people group. They preformed a dance, songs, skit and shared the gospel. They showed love and care for the people and prayed with them. The next day we had a youth conference. Over 60 teenagers and young adults came. We shared God’s Word with games with the young people. We had a great time of fellowship with them. The next day we did street evangelism close to the church. A lot of people loved to hear the Gospel and watch the skit. Our students learned to “GO” because God command us to “GO”. Please pray for our students that they may love to go where God wants them to go.

We are given the assignment to share the Gospel all over the world by Jesus. There is not anywhere that is excluded. We are to share the Gospel in the easy places and in the hard places, in the Himalayan mountain range and in the flat land, in the closed areas and in the open areas, to Hindu people and to Buddhist people.

It is always exciting to write about how our God is in our mist, and how His kingdom is flourishing. When we look around, we see so many different ways that He has been working. I will explain some of the ways of how He is working in our mist.

In Our Bible College:

Things are going differently in our country. Young adults want to go abroad to find jobs and to chase their dreams. We have seen a million people leave our country. But there are some young people who want to leave their homes and join Bible college. We see hope in our country that God is working in our mist. These young people are not perfect, but our perfect God has greater plan for these imperfect young people. This new semester 8 new students were admitted in our Bible college. Now all together we have 31 students. There are 10 girls and 21 boys. Please pray that they grow in God’s Word and grace.

We didn’t understand before, but when we read the above verse, which is spoken by our Lord Jesus, we see this can happen in the present day. It did not happen in our early days of ministry. But thanks to God, this has happened in the recent days! We believe it will happen in the future too. We are waiting for this miracle to come. May God bring revival in our country!

It is always exciting to share about what God is doing through our Bible College students. God had been raising up these young people so wonderfully that they are sold out for Jesus. They have been studying God’s Word. They are not only studying, they want live it out.

We opened up opportunities for all our students to serve in a remote area during their recent semester break. A couple of days later, some of the students came to my room and said, “Can we go to that village? God has been speaking to our hearts about those villages again and again.” So we sent them.

Imitators as prayer warriors: We all know that the only thing the disciples of Jesus asked Him to teach was how to pray. We all believe that prayer is so important. We see that Jesus prayed, His disciples prayed, and all men of God pray. We also pray. We love to pray and we love to join together in prayer.

New Place, New People, New Joy

It is always so exciting to write an update about how God is working in us. We thank God! He has helped us do so much. He has involve us in His ministry. We want to share how God gave us so much “NEW”.New Place

We were excited about the graduation where one of the students from the West graduated. It was so amazing that God provided funds for us to travel to the West and do inductive Bible study. It is always a blessing to share about mission trips. We believe that God is always faithful to lead us into different parts of the world. What He has commanded us to do, He always helps us to do. We believe it is always God’s mission and we are just instruments of Him. We were in a place we had never been in the West. We were so excited to do this mission. It was such an amazing time with the pastors and leaders who attended the Inductive Bible study classes for up to 3 days
Every day the classes were filled with excitement. It was not that we are good or experienced teachers, but that we know that the Holy Spirit was moving in most of us. We believe in prayer and that it was because of prayer as well. We thank God that it was more than mission, it was like a unknown family reunion before we are in heaven. 31 people came plus some others who were working in the kitchen. We had the chance to disciple all of them. Our time with them seemed so short, even though it was 3 days. We did not want to leave them and they did not want to leave us. It always brings us joy to see young men who are hungry for the Word of God. Hopefully they have fallen in love with the Word of God. We have been lead to do more missions in the coming days. Let all glory be to God.

It was a great time during the Bible College Semester break. I was able to visit my family who lives in the East. This is where I used to serve God alongside my elder brother for many, many years. This time, while I was there, I happened to see so many other believers that I had served with before and was able to fellowship with them. They allowed me to teach at the church as well as their youth group. My two kids, Asher and Amosh, also spent time with the other kids who attend the church.

Mission 1: To the Forgotten

God has shown us favor in the midst of so many people groups, that we are able to have fellowship with. We are able to serve the people who are forgotten by government, but not forgotten by God. One of the people groups is from a remote area. We had the opportunity to teach them the Word of God and give their children stuffed animals. God is leading us to disciple this people group in the coming days. There are a lot of young people who are eager to know the Word of God but have not gotten the opportunity to study. We all are praying that God may open the door for us to serve these people in the coming days. They are from an indigenous people group, and almost all of the people live in remote areas far from the city. Right now, we are missionaries to them.

Christmas Outreaches of Our Calvary Chapel

Outreach One:

It has always been awesome to do outreach. What a wonderful thing to invite people and share the Gospel with them! This Christmas outreach was a blessing. We were able to reach people in our local community with whom we are spending time for a long time. We invited the people from the Badminton Club to our Church to have breakfast so we could share “What Christmas is All About” on Christmas Sunday. People always have a lot of questions about Jesus, and the Bible always has the answer about life. Thank all of you prayer warriors who were praying for us and the outreach.

The first week of February was the start of classes at our Bible College. The students learned Inductive Bible Study (IBS) which helps 1.) Them to learn how to study the Word and 2) To motivate them to teach their people through systematic Bible Study. It was encouraging to see that the students were so excited to learn how IBS works. We love to teach Inductive Bible Study because it explains how to teach the Bible instead of people’s personal opinions of what the Scriptures say. Please pray for the students as they continue to study through the Bible.

The Call of God

This has been a great semester at the Bible College! It has been wonderful to see all of these young people from all over the country, who were called to the ministry, never leave Nepal. In the current situation in our country, most of the young people go abroad to chase their dreams. We honor these young people who are instead sold out to Christ and His mission. These young men do not have much wealth at their homes to take care of their future. They are ready to give up worldly things to run and grab eternal things.

One More Thing God Did

Worth It

This past month, our Bible College staff all went to visit our recent graduate, Raju. He has started a Calvary Chapel Church. It was difficult for all of us to go to visit our brother Pastor Raju. We had to leave our kids behind in the city. We were also not used to hiking uphill at a high altitude. When we reached the top of the mountain where the village is, we saw a group of believers who hungered for the Word of God. We fellowshipped with them with great joy, and encouraged them to keep their faith in God and seek Him daily in His Word. The pain in our legs from hiking, and the altitude sickness were so worth it to be able to spend time with the church and encourage them in the faith.

Love Your Neighbor as Yourself

It has been a great blessing to serve in our neighborhood. Where we live, we are surrounded by schools and families’ homes. Due to the lockdown, there is a teacher who has had a hard time getting salary from a school. The principal of that school, who is also our friend, shared about how the teacher hasn’t been able to get a salary for the past 4 months. We were then able to help give 17 teachers from the school some bags of rice and oil. The day we distributed the food, we had good fellowship with each other and prayed together. My wife served us coffee and cake. It was a great blessing to see the teachers happy faces and make a connection with them. The principal shared with us that it felt like we are a big family helping each other in this time of suffering. It was a real heart-touching moment. We praise God to have such a wonderful neighbor. Please keep praying for our teacher friends who have given their lives to serve in this Christian school. They are sharing their faith in this Hindu and Buddhist community.

A Big Christmas with a Big Family

It is always great to invite people for different programs, especially for our annual Christmas program. More than that, we love to see the people actually come and attend the program! We always say that it is not us, but God who has brought them–like in the days of Noah when God brought all of the male and female animals inside the Ark. We know that we are not worthy for their presence, but God loves His people and wants to save them, so He leads them to come.

Old, Young, and Kids; All Ages Need Jesus!

So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”(Acts 16:31)

We are seeing people being saved through the power of the Holy Spirit! Their entire households are getting saved! One family, who was Buddhist, came to Christ last year. God has blessed their life abundantly and they are sharing their faith with their family and neighborhood. A month after they accepted Christ, there was a Big Buddhist Festival. The family decided to go shepherd their cattle instead of facing the pressure to worship a false god and do Buddhist rituals. I was amazed how they reacted to such a big challenge in their life! Please keep praying for this family to be so strong in their faith and in God’s Word.

Anand and Usha's Story

Anand and Usha came from Hindu backgrounds and with the influence of Christian friends, Anand heard the Gospel at age 14 and put his faith in Christ. As a young man, he had the opportunity to leave his village and travel to the city to attend Bible College. His brother became a pastor and started a church in their village and Anand led worship and assisted in reaching many villagers for Christ.

Big City, Small Kids, Big Hope

“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble.” James 1:27a

This was a month where we had a great opportunity to serve children in a slum area of the capital. These are the children who live in a big city but in small homes, big people with a small life-style, big city but less opportunity. This city has many high quality schools, but the children from the slums attend very poor quality schools. This city has schools that teach people who come from all over the country, but they neglect these children right here. More than that, these children need Jesus who can transform their lives. Our aim is not to change their life-style, which is secondary, but we want to give them Jesus, which is primary. We thank the Lord for the visiting team who went with us to minister to all of these children. Every time we come here, they are so friendly to us and want to be a part of our lives and want to know us. We praise God that He allows us to serve these young lives!

Good Friday Becomes Best Friday

“Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard." (Acts 4:19-20)

Listening to the news about persecution in the world and about our country’s new constitution made us think more about stepping out in our faith for the sake of the Gospel and knowing that the Word of God is above all. Psalm 119:89-90 says, “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. Your faithfulness endures to all generations; You established the earth, and it abides.” As the Word of God says, “His faithfulness endures to all generations,” so why shouldn’t we proclaim His good news during this Resurrection week and invite our community people/friends, etc. All of the Bible College students were excited to sing worship songs, perform Gospel dances, and share testimonies. It was a great time to see so many people listening to the Good News. It was a great time with all of our friends and family who attended our outreach program. We were able to tell them about Jesus and what love He demonstrated 2000 years ago for us. It was on Good Friday that we invited people to attend Calvary Chapel for the program that the Bible college students planned. We all said together, “It’s God who did it and brought people to whom we shared the Gospel.” Please pray for those who heard the Good News on that day. Praise God!

How Will They Hear - Radio Ministry Taking Place

This past month, God granted me the opportunity to teach on the radio from the Gospel of Luke, which is broadcasting to 5 million people in the Valley as well as thousands more who listen on the internet. As you may know, there is a very small percentage of people in our country that are Christian. The majority of the population are Hindu and Buddhist and most have never heard the Word of God taught verse by verse. There are people listening from all levels of society, including those who are in jail. Please pray that as the teaching of the Word of God is broadcast, lives would be transformed and many would come to know Jesus personally.
